This is a fun card for a special little guy that has entered this incredible world! I think it turned out super cute and I love the color combination!
The stamp set is a "bye-bye" set, Moving Forward! This is an extra special stamp set as every set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House! Is that super cool or what!
Besides doing this wonderful donation, there are many Stampin' Up! Demonstrators all over that donate their time – making cards…teaching patients and their families…WOW!!!
Here you go!
- The standard A-2 Card but scored at the 5 1/2" to make it a vertical card.
- The colors are Gumball Green 1 1/2" X 5 1/2" and Midnight Muse 2 1/4" X 5 1/2" each scored with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 1/4" intervals!
- Using the Stitched Satin Ribbon on the edges gives a little bling and depth!
- Stampin the image in both colors, again from the Moving Forward Stamp Set, I used the very best scissors in the world – the paper snips – I carefully trimmed the GG pieces to add to the boat image! I popped it out with the 2 1/2" Circle punch!
- Out came Mr. Big Shot as he had some work to do! Using the 3 " Circle Originals Die and the 3 1/2" Circle Die was the perfect touch to create balance!
- See something else??? The 1/2" Circle Punch was used to create some fun and I think it looks super!
- Now what about the sentiment? Where did that come from? A Word From You Stamp Set but I "masked" part of the stamp to just get what I wanted….easy!
- Popping out this simple sentiment was made easy with the Word Window Punch…another time saver! Using both colors of paper is another way to "mix it up" and create a different look!
Hopefully you can see how easy it is to break down the basics here and make a great, clean card! Think about how many different Stamps could be used with this style of card!

Susan, love love love this card. You hit it out of the park. Classic yet whimsical a card that will be treasured in a baby book for sure,
So cute!
I love your blog but find the red P in the middle of your cards distracting. Could you put it in a corner or at the bottom?
Susan,
Another winner card! These colors look fabulous together and I really love the 1/2″ circle punch uses. I thought it was DSP at first glance and my brain was trying to figure out where that came from!
Beautiful!
Really like this one, Susan, especially the us of the ribbon, a nice touch.
Fabulous card! I love the clean, crisp look, your creativity is inspiring!
Love this! My favorite color combo right now. Love the fun touches with the scoring and the ribbon. Then the center part and the word window treatment! Great job!
So, so cute! This is wonderful, Susan!
You really think outside the box. Fabulous card!!!! Love it!
P.S.Tell Janet (from above comment) the red pinterest P only shows up if your curser is over the card. Once you move the curser off the card it disappears after a few seconds. At least that is how it is when I view it. Hope this helps.
