And as the saying goes….the 3rd time is the charm! If you have been following my blog for the past several days….I have been using this stamp set, Moving Forward!
I want to show you how you can take a stamp set….make it into totally different cards…but have the same end result – super cute…clean…classic….cards!
Now….let's step back to yesterday…..I teased you by asking you where the sentiment came from…..1st – WOW….for all of the comments and emails….but the 1st one to get it was Darlene from Georgia….and it was before 6 a.m. EST – and actually she was the very 1st one that responded!
I had lots of Teeny Tiny Wishes…Moving Forwards…..but EASY EVENTS was the winner!!!!
I have told you that I LOVE this set…and it will be one that I will have to keep….one of the things I absolutely love is that you can cut the sentiments away from the image and get a "bigger bang for your buck!"
So….WOOT-WOOT to Darlene….I will be sending you your 6 cards and envelopes your way! Many thanks for you response and playing along!
Now to today's gem….love it….and here you go!
- The base is your standard A-2 card in my all time favorite – Crumb Cake….then going in just 1/8" for each color, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla were the 3 center stage colors for this fun card!
- Using the Moving Forward Stamp Set, again….I Stamped it on the Very Vanilla with the help of the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to place it "just where I wanted it!"
- I also stamped it on a scrap piece of card stock – "just to get the basket!!!!" and snipped it with the BEST scissors in the world, the paper snips!
- The decorative brads were from the Neutral Brads and the Neutral Flower Brads…just a simple yet fun touch!
- The Sentiment….so – so cute….well it can be YOURS….as it is a NEW hostess stamp set called, Express Yourself…a TOTAL keeper – just love it!
- Using the Owl Builder Punch…the hearts were a SNAP to punch out! I used the 2 way glue to adhere them…so quick and easy!
- Next came the ribbon…Natural Trim Ribbon was a soft touch but I looked at it…and still thought it needed a bit of something…
- Using the Stampin' Trimmer to cut an 1/8" strip of Marina Mist and again using the 2 way glue to make it go from great to WOW!!!
- The envelope…a great finale using the Print Poetry Designer Paper… I love it!
Not only is this Stamp Set a great one as it helps other that are going through a difficult time…The Ronald McDonald House is simple an amazing organization! WOOT-WOOT to all of YOU that have helped Stampin' Up! donated over 1 million dollars to this special place!
I hope that these past 3 days have shown you how you can take a stamp set and make it work from all sorts of themes…I often get asked – where do you get inspired? Simple….I usually sit the – look at the stamp set and then see what colors I have been using lately – switch them up a bit and GO FOR IT!
Please let me know how you like this….email me or leave a comment…I always appreciate them! Again, I deeply thank you for your comments and feedback to the sentiment of yesterdays card….just another way to show you how to maximize your stamps!
Until tomorrow….

Very cute all around. Love the colors and the stamps!
Oh, I really like the take on this card , a great children’s card, in fact it will be perfect for my granddaughter who was just called up to the minors in little league baseball. The only girl playing:). I’m a proud grandma.
Love it! I didn’t pop in yesterday until late last night. So, I love both of the cards and so wish I had won but there will be other times. I love how you totally created a different look for this – this is just plain fun! I really like the colors and the ribbon trim. I like the idea of showing us what can be done differently with a set.
Love it! I’m ordering this set before it retires!!
