Heart of Christmas meets the Merry Minis Trees

IMG_5031

This Chrismas Card fills me with joy! It is not only a beautiful card, I simply love the Sentiment on the stamp, The Heart of Christmas! I wish you could see it in person…..but then again – YOU CAN…..when you make it yourself! It truly is a beauty!

Starting with the Very Vanilla Cardstock for my cards base I added one of my all time favorites, Crumb Cake as a focal wow backdrop to my cards main body ! The size of this is 5 1/4 X 4! Next i chose a designer paper from the SUPER COOL Festival of Prints Designer Paper Pak and matted that to a coordiation color cardstock, I chose Cherry Cobbler! These dimensions are 4 3/4  3 1/2 and the printed paper is 4 1/2 X 3 1/4!

Here comes the fun – I just love the Bog Shot! It is truly amazing all of the things it can do. Using the Label Collection Framelits I cut out 2 different sizes ( one in the Very Vanilla for the sentiment in Cherry Cobler and the other in the Crumb Cake to layer behind!) Still more fun to come is using another "play tool" the Paper-Piercing Pack to add a bit of pizazz to the outer framelit! Before I adhere the 2 framelits together I snailed doen a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon to add a bit of depth and then using my Stampin Candy, Dimensionals – I popped the Framelits ontop of the decorative paper!

The final touch, I punched out 3 small Christmas Trees using the Gumball Green paper that coordinates perfectly to my designer paper ( thank you Stampin' Up!!!) and once again popped them up! To me a card is never finished ( in my opinion) without a lining for the envelope! I chose a print that coordinated with the body of my card and the end result is perfect!

Scentsational Seasons is FABULOUS with Fabluous Phrases!

With the season of being super busy we need to be ready to say
"thanks"! I love the simpilicty and also the depth of this super
quick and easy card! I must admit…once I start playing – I found it hard to
stop!

This
card includes many of my favorites, clean lines, minimal stamping and letting
the WOW factor pop out! Using the Very Vanilla Card stock and the Simply Scored
Tool made this card show a little pizzazz! I scored every 1/2 inch to get the
texture in my card stock and then used a sponge dauber inked up with my all
time favorite – Crump Cake to get the rich tone to make the WOW factor happen!

Off
to meet my best Stampin' friend…..the Big Shot! This is such and amazing
tool! Using the super cool Framelits from the Scentsational Seasons I chose the
Christmas Tree and Star to be the focus of this card! Simple…run it
through….and voila! To save paper, I simply cut out just a piece of
decorative paper to place behind the window I just created – this came from the
Festival of Prints Paper Stack (LOVE IT!)

I
must admit I do have a weakness in the Seam Binding Ribbon, I find it to be the
PERFECT friend to one that has challenges in making bows! I finished the card
with the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon to add that final touch! (a quick
tip: I like to put snail on the back of my card to ancor down the ribbon to
keep it straight – I find it easier for me to make a bow!)

Next
was a short and simple message using the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set – this is
one of my "go to's" when looking for a quick yet meaningful
message….I lined up both words and then using the Cherry Cobbler Ink pad I
stamped my simple yet heartfelt message and framed and flagged it over a scrap
piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock!

I
know that one of my other weaknesses is to line each and every card I make – it
has become my trademark! Guilty as charged but this is something that I think
makes your cards have that extra added touch that really stands out and it is
super easy!

Please
feel free to email me with any questions or comments you have! I think this is
a fun card that can be adapted for many differnt occasions now that we have so
many Framelits available!
