Good Morning to you! This is a FUN color palette for us to work with this week for the Pals Paper Art challenge! Hop on over to the site to see what the other designers came up with and then pull out your supplies and go to town to create a work of art! You know that you will have fun….here are the colors to play with!
I have been having a great time sharing with you different ways to give "gift cards" – this to me is just plain FUN!!!! Even if you did not want to put a gift card in, you could easily tuck in a special note or a "IOU" for something fun to do with the recipient!
The mat of Crumb Cake, (just a smidge smaller) was scored with the scoring tool…..this looks super rich in this color of paper! I know that it is hard to see in the photo but on the vertical sides I did 3 scores and the long ends I just did one score line.

For those of you that have not experienced our dies, the main thing that I adore that the finished product is already scored…it comes complete with the banner that I placed the sentiment on plus the little "postage area" – Stampin' Up! does a great job in these dies and trust me, you will use this one a bunch!
You know that I adore the sentiment words and this one is perfect for the season! Green Glue is the perfect adhesive for adhering!
I like to mat the envelope with a POP of color as I think it sets it off and you can see in this picture that I wrapped up the silver cording twice as I think it is a perfect finishing touch! (remember, this cording in both the gold and silver…I am sad – I adore it)
After I have my cording just as I want it – I them adhere this to the mat and then POPPED it up with Stampin' Dimensional
The finale….the lined envelope in the Red Envelope paper…darn, I am going to miss that when it leaves – stock up on it!!!
Can you see yourself using this die? I think that it is super fun and remember to think out of the box to use it in other ways! This size is a perfect one to make and tuck a note in when you give someone a handmade goodie, (like some cookies or bread) – it is so easy , just a crank thru Mr. Big Shot – adhere, done!
I have shared with you that I used to not be a fan of Gift Cards….but now, I am a huge fan of them….WHY? = Easy……you can get what you want and more importantly….you can spend more time with family and friends and not be stressed with fighting the lines of the store!

Here is a card that is simple to the max but I also think super cute to the max! If you need to whip up a bunch of cards in a jif…than this is a card for you! I used the notecard size as I find it to be so quick and useful!
This stamp set, Peaceful Pines will be sticking around (YIPPEE) and I would purchase this as a bundle as the framelits that match it are true keepers (pop back for the weekend post and you will see some fun with this framelits!)
It is as easy as it looks….ink ~ stamps~DONE! After I stamped the image and sentiment I scored it all the way around – this makes such a difference, I hope that you try it!
You have heard me blog time after time about sentiment sets – here is a keeper that also needs to be on your shelf…just look at the fun sentiments and fonts in this stamp set! It is called And Many More and it is in the Annual Catalog.
This Red Envelope Paper sure has been a hit for me! I am looking forward to using it for Valentines day and I admit, I am sad to see it leaving. I love the fact that you get so many sheets and it is super affordable!
Taking that extra time to make your envelope beautiful is soooooo worth it – try to make a commitment to yourself to give it a try…..I think that you will smile and be proud of yourself!
I told you that this is super simple….not much to guide you with other than do not be afraid to have a "secret weapon" card….just in case! I was able to whip up 40 of these cards and envelopes in about an hour.
Break it down in steps….
- Fold over and score your note cards….open up your envelopes
- Cut the overlay from a whisper white card stock (you will get 4 per sheet) 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"
- Cut your envelope paper (because it is so thin you can cut multiple sheets at once)
- Apply Stampin' Dimensionals
- Use the Big Shot to cut your liners. (Again, because it is so thin….I cut 4 at one time)

I really need to get a grip on the fact that the calendar is really December 1st – it's o.k. – I used to get super stressed about the holidays but now I try to just go with the season and one thing that I have totally realized that brings me more joy than anything is to make gifts…naturally you know I love what I do…but I also adore cooking – WOW….one of my all time favorites!
Over the Thanksgiving Weekend, it was fun to create, cook, play games, just be home….nothing like it, especially with the peeps!

The stamp was from the HANDS DOWN…you just have to have sentiment stamp set called A Dozen Thoughts…..I adore the fonts and it is always a keeper! We all need to have several sentiment stamps sets in our collection and this is one that I would total have on my shelf (HINT – there is a new sentiment stamp set in the new catalog that is also a keeper, totally different than this one by trust me, it's a keeper!)
The sheer boldness of this color, Bermuda Bay set the stage for such a beautiful package and layering 2 of the flowers (give them a good curl with the bone folder! This single stamp is a keeper as you can use so many punches (scallop and circle) to make it more detailed if you want! The little pearls are the perfect bling to the package!
Would you smile if you received this package…..(well I know we all do not know what is inside) but I enjoy the presentation as much as the gift as I know if someone took the time to wrap a beautiful gift, than it already is a work of art from their heart!
