It feels like it has been days since I have posted something…and I must say – "I have missed working on a card!" This is a "Susan Card" – one that reflects me and my personality! I just love clean and simple!
Next week will be my monthly Breast Cancer Card making fun evening and this is one of the cards that we will be assembling! I think it will be super easy for the volunteers to put together! I have people that have never made a card before and they will enjoy this cute card!
The stamp set for this card is "For The Birds", truly a cute and versatile set! You know that I love water coloring so out came the Aqua Painter! The colors I used were Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse and Cherry Cobbler. I first stamped my image with Black Staz On Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper…( it's worth it…trust me!!!)
I wanted to do a vertical fold card as I have not done one for a while…Very vanilla was my card stock of choice and Crumb Cake with a little bit of midnight muse! A very handsome and inviting color palette!
I wanted to use a frame to highlight my focal bird stamp – I looked at the stamp and then looked at the Framelits and the Window Frames worked perfectly! I used frame #2 to cut out for the "peep piece" ( Crumb Cake) and then used the #3 one for the Watercolor paper…less stress in adhering!
If you look closely (click the picture) you can see a faint line around the cut out section and I was going to jazz it up – but then decided not to…just a couple of Neutral Brads did the trick! Loved it! Finishing the card with a piece of the Satin Stitched Midnight Muse Ribbon was the finale!
I was excited when I did this card….but kinda bummed when I saw the pictures as the picture does not do it justice…this is a sweet and clean card!I know that you have heard me say this before…but this card is a great example of ow this style could be adapted to so many different card ideas!
Fingers crossed my pre-order will be here today and I am super excited! There is so much to take in! I am hoping to have some good "play time" over the weekend! Sometimes I wish there were just more hours in the day! I simply love to sit…turn on some music and just have fun!
Please share my blog with your friends! I love posting on my blog and I love helping you reach your goals! We all can make works of Art from our Heart…I am just glad that I can help you! Please email me or leave me a message on some of the things that you would like to see….I love a challenge!
Have a fabulous day and until tomorrow….

I know that your card-makers at tomorrow’s event will love this card! Once I’m back to where I can use all my supplies, including the new ones waiting for me in the US, I want to CASE this card! I still owe some cards to some people and this one is fun and pretty!
Thanks again for sharing!
This is so cute along with being clean and simple, the perfect type for teaching new stampers. Do you mind if I case your card for a newbies class?
Have a wonderful weekend.
LOVE IT! I wish I could help next week. I have not tried watercoloring yet and this looks like a beautiful card to make. I am sure it will put a smile on many a face! You are doing such a wonderful thing making cards for others!!! I too wish there were more hours in the day. I just want my daily card making “therapy” session. 🙂
This is just so cute! I love it! The colors are so fun and springy. Since I now have the set, I think I am going to have to replicate it too! I really love those brads on it, really is the crowning touch if you ask me! Great job! Your group will love making this card. Thanks for sharing it with us.
