Yesterday, I shared with you my bright and cheerful card using the Secret Garden Stamp Set and matching framelits…well today I am showing you how I packaged them all together to give away as a gift! Isn't it adorable!

I love doing extra added touches like this to complete a gift! To me, one of the nicest and not only practical & definitely appreciated gifts would be some note cards…and stamps! It is always great to receive something that you will use…plus when you know that someone took the time to make it for you….well priceless!

My inspiration from this box came from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek and a blog post she did in July 2012 – click here to see it! Below you will see some changes I made and after making this…I also have more changes to make and I will share them with you in a later post!

This is what I love about creating things…once you put it together… your head keeps spinning in ways that you could "tweak" it a bit to make it easier and more practical for your needs! I just love the basic concept any usefulness of this!

I hope that you enjoy this and please leave me some feedback on how you like it! this box, easily, holds a dozen cards and envelopes! Wow – such a great gift and I am sure my dear friend is going to enjoy and appreciate a dozen cards from me!

Here you go with some tips and pictures I took when I made it! Please email me if you have any questions! Go and have the link above open while you look at my pictures…I think it will make sense to you!

TIP  – Remember a couple blogs ago I said it is always wise to keep some 12 X 12 Card Stock on hand…well this post is a perfect example of why…we carry 12 X 12 Card Stock in many colors…it is always so nice to have this as an option!

CLICK on the picture to make it bigger…you can clearly see the scoring lines!

You can see how I folded up all of the score lines and see where the placement of the sticky strip went.

TIP – please use the sticky strip if you have it…it is the strongest hold we have and it truly does make the box sturdier!

Adding a front color of a piece of polka dots from the In Color designer series paper was the fun and cheerful look I was going for! I just used a snail for this!

IMG_2439
Next you can see how I just flipped it over and snipped away…you could also easily use the stampin trimmer, but I love our paper snips for this!

IMG_2440
Peel off and fold together all of the sticky strip and presto – a box! I do recommend doing to decorative part BEFORE you fold and adhere everything together….it really was easy-peasy! You can always add the trim later – but do the paper at this point!

Now naturally I did not like that point sticking out…and that was a cinch to take care of…snip – snip…gone!

I simply added some daffodil delight grosgrain ribbon to the outside edge…I did use the sticky strip to adhere it.

TIP: – The Craft Scissors are simply the BEST for cutting ribbon! I finally broke down and purchased a pair and now I say – what did I ever do without them before!?!? I know at 1st glance they are pricy but think about how many times you use them…plus you can also get them for 50% off or even free! Click here and ask me how you can get them!

Here it is all folded up! For a finishing touch I stamped another flower from the Secret Garden Stamp Set and then popped it out with the help of the Big Shot and the coordinating Secret Garden Framelits!

I hope that this inspires you to go to your craft area and do this project! Not only is it super cute and fun…it is easy to do!

TIP: I used a simple piece of velcro & adhesive circle to open and shut this…I felt that this was the easy way to utilize this box with putting minimal stress on the box!

I truly hope everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend…we are! Seeing our son graduate yesterday was the BEST!!!!

Until tomorrow!
