This is a bittersweet week for many of us Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators as we are saying goodbye to some of the retiring products! These
2 stamp sets are on the “bye-bye” and they are truly some of my favorites!
I often get asked…Am I no longer allowed to use
them…simple = no, not at all! In
fact there are many stamp sets that I will keep to use for my personal use and
my volunteer card making for Breast Cancer, but I will not show them on my blog
simply because we have soooo many super new things coming your way…
I will be selling many of my stamp sets, so please feel free to email me if you would like me to send you a list of the stamp sets that are for sale. In the subject line…just put Stamps for sale!
So…the moral of the story is…make sure that you check out
the retired list to see if you simply cannot live with out something and if
not…I say – WAIT FOR THE NEW CATALOG! We all know we like bargains…but the new
goodies are great!
I am “tickled PINK”
with this card…I just love pink, grey and black together – always so clean and
crisp – and can you say F U N –
there is just something about this that just rocks!
Here you go….
- The base of the card is a regular A-2 card base
in Basic Grey.
- The Pink Pirouette is cut at 4 X 5 ¼ “ and then
I cut a piece of Whisper White at 3 3/4 X 5”
- I always put a small piece of snail to the back
and adhere it to a piece of copying paper to stamp my images so I do not get my
work area messy!
- Just stamp away randomly to create the effect
you like! The Stamp Set is Circle Circus and the sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness.
- I stamped the sentiment ( which I love and is
sooooo true) in Basic Grey and then pulling out my Stampin’ Companion, the Big
Shot, I used the Windows Frame Collection Framelits to cut it out!
- I used the same size framelits and cut out 2 in
Pink Pirouette!
- I then cut the next larger one with Basic Grey
to give it a bit of contrast! Love it!
- Before I adhered the white sentiment part I used
the paper piercing tool, the Stampin’ Piercing Mat and the Festive Piercing Mat
to punch a frame around….(can you imagine doing this without a guide!?!?)
- I strategically placed the 2 pink ones behind
the sentiment and then put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the pink to
adhere to the grey!
- Now to the envelope…cute – right? I simply took
a piece of whisper white 3” X (one little notch in from) 5 ¾” on the Stampin
Trimmer (works like a charm every time) and then randomly stamped like I did
the card!
- I always use the 2- way glue pen to adhere my
liner to the envelope…just run it around the edges of the flap!
TIP – When you go to order ( and yes…I know you are going to
order as soon as the new catalog comes out!!!) order 2 of the Stampin’ Pierce
Mat! Why??? They are incredible to stamp on especially when you have a LARGE
stamp…works like a charm BUT you need to make sure you do not pierce this one…1
for piercing , 1 for stampin’ !
Saying bye-bye is not easy sometimes but it will be worth it
in the end! Stampin’ Up! Does such a fabulous job in keeping us up to date with
the latest in products and technology!
Speaking of technology….I need to get back to playing with
MDS…the great sale of 25% off ends on June 15th and that will be
here before you know it! Think about creating cards that you can order a dozen of to keep on hand….you can always add ribbon, embellishments etc…to make it your own!
Hope you enjoyed today's post….until tomorrow!

You did such a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT job with the stamping, I thought it was a paper peek from the new catalog. Thanks a bunch.
