I was going to wait and have this card for you on the 4th
of July but then I thought….that would be silly! Please CASE away and send this
card to brighten up someone’s day!
When I look at it I immediately think of fireworks and the
sounds of BOOM…BOOM! This clean and fun card literally takes 5 minutes to whip
together!
The base is Real Red and then I simply cut the white ¼”
smaller – 5 ¼” X 4” and then 1st inked up the “blossom” from the
Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set in the Real Red and stamped the image randomly and
then did the same with the Night of Navy Ink!

On a scrap of White, I stamped the sentiment, “Celebrate
Today” from the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set in real Red. I just love this font
as it reminds me of the 4th of July with the “curls” on the “C”.
Out came “Mr. Big Shot” and the Apothecary Accents
Framelits to do the magic on
cutting out the sentiment. I cut an additional on in Real Red and cut it in
half and then simply matted it behind the sentiment.
Stampin Dimensionsals were placed all behind the cut out
piece and added to the front of the card. I looked at it and thought it needed
something else and the new Candy Dots in the Regals were quick and the perfect
touch!
Using the Night of Navy marker, I stitched and “dotted”
around the whole piece! This brings back such fond memories when I scrapbooked
a bunch and this little “added” touch was something that I often did around
journaling boxes!!!
Before I adhered this piece to the base, I added a touch of
¼” stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to the diagonal lines and then a simple “Susan
knot” was the finishing touch that this card needed!
Do you remember the other day I used the red and white polka
dots for an envelope liner? Well…this was a cinch as it was already for me! You
can get 2 envelopes out of a 3” X 12” piece of paper! I just love the Polka Dot
Parade paper…and I usually se it on the other side but I love the look of what
I did here!
Fun and festive is what this card screams to me! When I
think of the 4th of July, I think – wow…summer is at it’s half way
point! I do not know about you…but this calendar is rolling by way too fast!!!
Times for fun in the sun!
Have a fabulous day and until tomorrow!

Good Morning Sue,
I must say Yes! the days are rolling by much to fast. I love the name of your card. It does look like fireworks in those colors. I plan on using it for a July 5th birthday card. Thanks a bunch. Have a wonderful July 4th.

How clever to think of this for fireworks!!!! I love the way your cards trigger fond memories….I am reminded of my 4th of July bachelorette party the night before my wedding ( couldn’t possibly get married on Independence Day! LOL)
