Happy 4th of July!
This "twirly" card should bring a smile to your face! The inspiration for this card came from Stampin' Up Demonstrator Jane Rozes!
Last night was my "Breast Cancer" feel good night making cards for the "Angel Program" and it was a super special treat to have Jane come and help make cards!
Also today is a Pals Paper Art Challenge and it is a color challenge using the colors of Pacific Point, Real Red and my all time favorite – Crumb Cake! This a great color combination to celebrate the holiday!
Jane gave to me the super cute…super fun…4th of July straw that would surely be a hit at a party! Earlier in the day when we spoke on the phone…I brought up that I want to make a spinner card….and "BINGO-BANGO" the light bulb came on when I saw this adorable straw!
Please refer back to this prior post that I did using the "spinner card method"…it just makes me smile to see the little guy go back and forth!
To make the Little Man was a cinch…here is a quick run down of supplies!
- 1 3/8" Circle Punch in Blushing Bride for the face
- 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch for the framing of the face!
- The Window Word Punch was the super helper to make the hat in Real Red and Pacific Point!
- The sentiment came from the Sketched Birthday Stamp Set and then cut out with the help of "Mr. Big Shot" and the magnetic Platform and the Bitty Banners Framelits!
- After I put the card together I still felt it had too much "white space" so I used the paper trimmer to cut very thin pieces and wiggled them in place – this did the perfect balance!
- The liner is from the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper…too cute!
Whatever you are up to today….I hope that it is fun and please have a safe holiday! To me this marks the summer half way point and YIKES….it just seemed like it just started!
Challenge yourself to make a project like this…not only are they fun – they truly are super cute….the only problem is the fact that you will sit there and play with it – watching it go back and forth…back and forth!
There is sooooo much talent out the – we could literally be "camped out" in our craft areas forever and not even begin to scratch the surface of all that is out there! Many thanks to Jane for inspiring me today for this spinner card!
Have a fabulous 4th and until tomorrow!
