I often do not use these colors together much as I am more of a "bright color fan" but I absolutely love the way that this turned out!
How this card came together was going to my designer series paper and choosing the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper was the 1st inspiration to this card….I do not use this paper often and I wanted to reach out of my comfort zone a bit!
One thing that I always do and a TIP that I highly recommend you doing as well is to look at the coordinating colors that match the designer series papers and go from there to create!
The stamp set From My Heart is a favorite of mine and I was super excited that it is carried over this year! Stamping it in Early Espresso and then using my buddy, Mr. Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits….I let them do their magic for the focal point of the card!
Laying them is a super easy thing to do and it always gives it a great end result….again – reach out of your comfort zone!
Adding the diagonal piece of Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched Ribbon was a great "off set" to create a depth of color! Wanting to use the Linen Thread ( thought the color would be perfect) I pulled out the very vintage buttons and let them have a center stage for the finale of the card!
The Crumb Cake Envelope seemed to be the perfect blending for this card and also lining the envelope with the same paper was the touch that completed this card!
I hope that this has inspired you to reach out of your comfort zone and play with colors that you usually do not! We all get stuck in what is comfortable for us…and I am glad that I challenged myself!

I love to teach…why??? Well, that;s simple – I find that we all are famous for saying "I can't do that!" and guess what…YOU CAN! I would love to work with you either in person or via cyber space to help you reach your goals! Please email me and let me know how I can help YOU!
Click here to order any of these products and also I hope that you have enjoyed seeing 1st hand that going our of the box is ok and it can be fun….JUST DO IT!
Until tomorrow…..

Going outside our comfort zone can be hard. This card is a great example. Thanks for the inspiration.
Really like this one, Susan, I have a problem going outside my comfort zone also, not just colors but also stamp sets. This set I just ordered and looking forward to it’s arrival.
