This is a fun, modern yet CAS (clean & simple) card that we will be making on Wednesday for the breast cancer monthly project I do! I know the volunteers are going to love making this as they get to heat emboss!
I can remember the 1st time I used this technique with a card…I could hardly wait to come home and show my husband the card….I kept saying – "Isn't this super"…well, he did not get it as he thought….he thought I just had a shiny stamp… trying to relive my excitement of stamping….pouring the power over ….tapping if off and then the finale of using the heat tool….I lost him…he just didn't feel the excitement I was!
Well I still get just as excited now as I did then! I love purple and I forget about using it. These colors I think look fun together…Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie!
I am just adoring the note card size and yep – once again this is what this card is….guess what???
Starting tomorrow, Sunday September 1st, this note card size will be coming out in Very Vanilla and guess what else….IN ALL OF OUR COLORS OF PAPER!!! Woot-Woot cause' tomorrow is the magical day that you can order the Envelope Punch!
Stay tuned to the end of this post for you to have the opportunity to win some Designer Series paper!
The fun die cut flower is from the Blossom Party Originals Die…super cute and you have many different options! To save paper, I just simply cut paper into a 1 1/2" squares and actually I can cut 3 at a time! Just love my Big Shot!

The centers of the flowers were a pop of a punch front the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, a must have because you will use the little shapes here and there often! This card is another great way to use up scraps!
Making the Perfect Plum just 1/4" shorter on both sides creates a great base. Before adhering anything I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Polka Dot Pieces Stamp Set in the Versa Marker! Before you do this step, I highly recommend that you use the Embossing Buddy to rub back and forth over your paper to remove and residue on the paper to get a clean stamp and a sharp emboss!
Out come the tools….we just love out tools! The Heat Tool is a must when embossing….(nope – a hair dryer will not cut it!!!) After stampin I folded a piece of computer paper to catch the acsess and I sprinkled over the white embossing powder over the stamped, versa mark image! A tap…tap…tap to get off the "extras", it was time to have fun!
TIP ALERT: – Alway try to use a circular motion with the Heat Tool when you are embossing…why? – you do not want to skorch your paper!

Keeping with the theme of the "white"…I went back to my scrapbooking days and using the Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen I did my famous dash – dot – dash – dot….works like a charm!
The envelope was lined with the Regals Designer Series Paper, a must in my opinion – I go thru it like water and YOU will have the opportunity to win a FREE set of YOUR choice of the collections tomorrow!
With this cute and fun sentiment – I thought the outside of the envelope needed some TLC….a quick stamp of the sentiment and then I sent on a search for the perfect flower….FOUND IT – the Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set to the rescue! That teeny tiny flower does the perfect trick!

That's it! I know that the volunteers are going to be happy to make this card…many time I have everything all cut and ready to go…they will love interacting with the tools!
Now to tomorrow's post….it is a very exciting time for Stampin' Up! and I hope you pop in! I am going to give you an opportunity to pick any of the Designer Series Paper Packs ( from the collections)or (2) of the Designer Series Papers ( pages 153 & 154) and it is all about the Envelope Punch!
What is the envelope punch? Well…in my opinion it is the best thing
that has come down the pike as it is not only very affordable…it will
make over 66 different sizes of envelopes and you can use any color or
design of paper you desire!!!!
Please make sure that you check back for tomorrows post and also I
will be offering this great incentive to those that orders an Envelope Punch from my
website ! You'll love it….you know that I would not let you down!
It's a holiday weekend and please be safe and have fun with what ever you are doing! Have a great day and….
Until tomorrow!

I love this card too! Adorable!
I love this card. I know the volunteers are going to have a blast making these cards. I know I would. My list gets longer everyday. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice card, Susan. Love the colors. I like the white sentiment on the dark card. You put so much work into your monthly breast cancer projects. Those months seem to fly by.
I can’t wait to get the envelope maker. Oh, lets see what else I can put in that order! Ha. Ha.
I just love your color choice today. I’m not very good with purples and greens. The orange centers in the flowers really make it POP. I also love your hand drawn border with the dots and dashes. Hmmmmm….I conquered the dots; but, I’m not sure my arthritic hands will draw the dashes in a straight, clean manner. Your card is really bright and cheery and did make me smile!
I hope you will show us how to use the envelope punch. It looks a little complicated.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Fun card. I love the colors. But, my favorite is the hand drawn border! I tis so simple, but so effective. Did you mention the embossing buddy? I had made some Christmas cards with embossing with competitor’s and she didn’t have an embossing buddy for us to use and I didn’t think about bringing my SU one. Well, I had a couple little finger print swirls on there that showed up with embossing as well as a few stray flecks. The room was too warm and I was sort of sweaty and that did not help. I think your group will love making this card!
Thank you for the inspiration! Between this card, two on another blog, and a Christmas card video I watched, I created a purple card with three flowers, one of which is punched out and popped up on the card, and DSP paper was used underneath the punched out place. I rather like how it turned out! Thanks for the idea!
I agree with you that heat embossing is so fun and cool! I don’t do enough of it!
I like your hand-drawn stitching. You must have a very steady hand. My lines would be all over the place, I imagine!
I really want to see the new envelope board in action!! I am curious to see if it is easier and faster than the Simply Scored for doing the same job.
