Tomorrow I will announce the winner***
Now is this a super sweet card or what! This will be one of the cards that we will be making on Wednesday for my monthly Breast Cancer Angel Card making evening that gives our local organization many cards to send to patients in treatment!
Yesterdays post on "Envelope Lining 411" was a huge hit! I have already received over 44 comments or emails with comments on which method they like best! Remember, you have until noon today to leave me a comment on which is your preference….and the lucky winner will receive blog candy of 10 "Susan" way liners and also 10 Envelope Liner Framelits!
Here is the super easy scoop on this card! This gem could be "whipped" up in no time to make multiples to always have a stash…."just in case" I used the Note Cards and Envelopes, the gem I often post about as you get 20 note cards and 20 envelopes for just $5.95!!! Can you say B A R G A I N!!! Click here to start your order…..
At the end of the "scoop" of this card….you will feel like you are at the eye doctors office….do you like this liner…that liner….or this liner!!! Enjoy and I hope this inspires you to make a stash of this easy-peasy card!
- Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes…the white smaller piece is 4 1/4 X 2 3/4 and then I cut a mat with Crushed Curry just a smidge larger!
- POP comes the sweet butterfly using the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the beautiful Designer Series Paper of Eastern Elegance!
- TIP ALERT!!!I popped the butterfly out twice and adhered them together so after I rolled it with my pencil you would not see the opposite side of the designer series paper!
- 3 precious pearls on the butterfly gives a softness and elegance!
- Here comes something that I forget about and WOW…..LOVE the effect – The Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder adds a super texture to the sides of the white focal part! When did you use this last?????
- The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the sentiment from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set…"just right"….always comes out perfect!!!

- After adhering everything together, out came the stampin' dimensionals to just give this card the special effect to go from o.k. – to WOW!!!
- Let's go to the envelopes….below you will see how I did the envelopes 3 different ways!!!
- The "Susan" way…
- The Envelope Liner Framelit…from the NEW holiday catalog
- The outside of the envelope!
You see…this is why I said you will feel like you are at the Eye Doctors….do you like 1…2…or 3!!! Well….I like them all!!! You can see that I wanted the mailman to smile, so I stamped 3 butterfly's on the front of one of the envelopes!
When I do this…I find the 1/2 point of the envelope….mark it with a pencil – use thestamp- a-ma-jig for perfect placement and then erase the center line….easy-peasy!
Thanks for POPPING by and I hope I inspire you to make this simple card! Please do not forget to go to my blog posting yesterday to get in the drawing to win blog candy!!!

p.s. – sorry for the photography today…I have a house full of people and I usually use my guest room to do my photography!!!

Very elegant. Soooo pretty! Looks easy too which makes it an added plus.
WOW …. I love it. So pretty I’m so going to make this.
so sweet = think I like your method and the outside flap is still the greatest!
What a great post! I appreciate your detailed explanations and the photos of each envelope. I love the card. Anyone should be able to make the card and the envelope. Thanks for sharing your hard work. Hope your son is doing well! Nancy B
Your yellow butterfly card is wonderful! Easy and gorgeous! I love how you used the embossing folder on both edges of the layer. What a beautiful effect!
In order to get the border on both sides
of the white focal part, do you run it through the Big Shot twice? Doesn’t that take time?
I love all the liners. Love the card too. I’m totally casing this one.
Looking forward to making them on Wednesday! 🙂
Beautiful card and coordinating envelope! Great idea for creating a set of cards. Love all the lining ideas for the envelopes!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
A really sweet note card. It would brighten anyones day and lining the envelopes is a must. Anyone would work beautifully. Lv the butterfly on the outside.
Your cards are always beautiful, this one especially!
I love the outside flap!
love those lined envelopes!
Hi Susan, I love the double punch butterfly to roll up the wings. I certainly can’t wait to try this. Love the embossing too. And . . . I didn’t even notice there was a difference in the photos. You are too hard on yourself. Thanks for posting, even with company. You are amazing!
Susan, your note card is so cute anyone would love to receive it. As far as envelope lining is concerned, I like both ways. I have used your way so far, but suppose the dies are faster, of course. Thanks for the lesson. It’s one I will save. 🙂
Great card! As a needleworker I just had to have that embossing folder. It came and there it has sat in a box – never out of the packet! If this doesn’t urge me to go find it and use it, I don’t know what will! Thanks for the tip about double punching the butterfly! Another duh moment! Usually the back doesn’t bother me but one day it just spoiled the effect so I didn’t put it on or changed the paper. Geez! I didn’t notice your change in photographing – your table is clean – mine has a ton of stamping supplies on it and other assorted stuff so I can’t even use it! Again, thank you for these great cards that nudges me off the couch and go create one!
Love your blog! My favorite lined envelope is the one made with the framelits. Your card for today is eloquent! The one thing that stands out in your projects is your attention to details. Everything on your card is perfect! Great workmanship!
This is so bright and cheery.
I’ve always wished we had more “just because” stamps. I love sending someone a card for no reason at all and it’s the perfect sentiment!
Thank you for sharing – I look forward to your blog each day!
I love the card. I just bought the elegent butterfly punch. This will be a great card to try it with. Thank you.
Love this card. What stamp set did you use.
Great card! It would look good in any color.
Pretty and cheery card. Just perfect to say “hi”. I plan on casing it. Did you use crushed curry for the ink? thanks!
