Here is another card that we will be making on Wednesday for the monthly Breast Cancer fun that I do along with volunteers!!! I need to make them simple, easy to duplicate – but still fun as these volunteers love to have fun!
In my “other “ life with direct sales…I always struggled
with being a perfectionist and then once I finally “let it go” I was a happy
camper! I truthfully found it hard to teach and inspire my customers when I was
not “walkin" the walk”!!!
I adored scrapbooking, (and still do) but in a simple way!
When in doubt – this was a layout that I always did when I just did not know
what to do!!!
The sentiment is from the Feels Good Stamp Set and this has
some wonderful and meaningful sentiments! I simply stamped in Elegant Eggplant
on a piece of Very Vanilla (3” X 2”) and YES – I did use my stamp –a-ma-jig …as
why not?

Giving it a quick mat just 1/8” larger makes the sentiment
stand up to what is next…I feel like I am once again going down “Memory Lane”….
simple take your 1” Square Punch and punch out squares in the colors of Elegant
Eggplant, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand! we simply have the BEST punches!

Are you wondering how did I come up with this color combo?
Easy- Peasy…it was with Stampin’ Ups! Super great must have tool that in my
opinion is very overlooked! It is the Color Coach and I say….”When in doubt –
pull it out”
As you can see I “fanned” open the color coach to Elegant
Eggplant and then flipped it over to let them tell me the color combo that
would be BINGO-BANGO and yep….it is
You will see that it gives you 2 different ideas…one that it
fun…one that is on the “safe side” I just love that this great company never
ceases to amaze me with making it easy for all of us as we all know – time is
precious!
I can remember seeing the Color Coach in the catalog and
thought…ya-da-ya-da but then really thought – this might help me in a pinch and
it does!!!! I would definitely add this to your “tools” collection, as it is a
timesaver!
That is about it but a tip that I did was use the
Multipurpose Liquid Glue to put the squares right where I want them! I was
going to “pop” them but then decided “less is best” and stuck to adhering them
flat!
Envelope was a cinch with the Envelope Liner Framelit and my main stampin’ man….Mr. Big Shot –
done in a snap with the help of the Regals Designer Series Paper!
Well…how do you like this fun card for Wednesday? It was an “Old
Faithful” for me in my scrapbooking days and I can see that it will once again
be a keeper
I always think of my Mom when I wonder what to do….she would
say…
”Go with what you like…
the classics always have their place…
you can never
go wrong”
Well Mom, once again you were right…I let my heart say “I like it”
and it works!
Let’s get ready for a great week….I hope that this inspired
you!!! What a great Stamp Set!
Until tomorrow…. and please come back as it is a great card
but an even better story!

Hi Susan — I needed a great inspiration and you have done it again. Hit a road block on creating — but can use this layout for the card I need. Thanks again for your wonderful inspiration
Wow, this is super cute and a fun card!
Love, love the card. Great way to use scraps!
Yuppers – great use of scraps. Love the colors. Thank you for sharing!
Nice Card Susan! Thanks a bunch for the story too. The colors are really nice and who doesn’t have 1″ squares available! 🙂
Now that’s a great use of scraps! We all have those one inch strips or pieces sitting around. I love this idea!
Beautiful!
I totally love this whole idea including the colors! This is so fun with a total WOW factor! It may be a classic to you but it sure is fresh and new to me! I need a card for a new coworker whose birthday was today. She didn’t tell anyone until she comes in saying, “I take we have to work on our birthday if we don’t take a vacation day.” So, tomorrow we will give her treats and I will make the card. I think this will be fun and maybe put something silly on the front like Wowzers! Then, in the inside write – you gotta give us more warning! Anyway, it is a great way to use some scraps and I just had some 1″ lengths left from a project! Ah, to my rescue once again!
What’s with the three little dots around the outsides of your sentiments? Is that a stamp, or just free-hand? Is that kind of like your “trademark”? It’s cute! 🙂
Hi Janet and thanks for the comment! Yes, I love and often do those 3 little dots “here and there”…I think it is fun and makes it interesting! Thanks for popping by!
