Happy New Year…part #2
On January 1st I posted this post….a unique post as I do not have a card to share with you…rather I am sharing with you some of the Stampin' Up! products that I love and "works for me"…
Today is the 2nd of 3 posts of sharing with you some of my all time "keepers"! I could go on and on about all sorts of things and today I wanted to randomly pick some of my favorite products that we have at Stampin' Up! and give you the "why's" I love them so much as well as some "tips and tricks" that I have found with them!
Here you go….these are not in any particular order of my preference! Read to the end as you will see you will have the opportunity to win some blog candy!
I am purposely not putting in specific stamp sets…the solid papers….our marker collection…and the Big Shot…as to me – these are the staples…(bread & butter) to our fabulous collection of products!
- Stamp-A-Ma-Jig – If you are one of my "regular" blog followers…you already know that I adore this tool…simply cannot and would not be without it! Why….

- Perfect placement each and every time you use it! SIMPLE!!!
- Confessions of an honest stamper: way before I became a Stampin Up Demonstrator I bought this "thing" (as I called it) – I had absolutely NO CLUE how to use it until I clearly realized that I was "afraid" to stamp (especially) sentiments on my cards because they would be "crooked" – then I decided to master this…and that is exactly what I did…..sooooo my advice to you is simple!
- Do this….get a sentiment out….or any stamp and practice…practice and practice! Once you get it – you get it! It is like learning to ride a bike. I honestly would be lost without it and I truly want to you reach out to me if you are frustrated with it or if you are not using it….
- Simply Scored Scoring Tool – I know what you are thinking…..on my 1st post I shared with you the Stampin Timmer that also is super cool that it has a scoring aspect to it…..but this is a bit different in my eyes and this is why!

- No doubt I ADORE and would not be without the Stampin' Trimmer but this is different to me especially with 3-D projects! I think that this tool has a "deeper" score that is necessary with certain projects!
- I also love the "markers" as when I am making "many" projects – I find it such a cinch not to have to worry about counting!
- I love having the "ruler" on the top as well as down the side!
- Grid Paper – I know that this is a weird one for you….but hang on and see "why" I have this on the list! It is truly "my friend and savior many times"

- This is a must in my eyes as not only do you get 100 sheets of these grid papers….it is PERFECT to work with as you have a ruler…and area that is every 1/4"
- You have a section that you can "write notes/dimensions/instructions for future cards….but it is a GREAT place to make notes of what you are using and what you need to order!
- I have had the SAME PAD OF PAPER FOR PROBABLY 3 YEARS….why? I have a piece of plexiglass over top of a sheet and there are many times that I do not ever write on it!
- Stampin' Dimensionals – aka to me….my Stampin' Vitamins! LOVE-LOVE-LOVE!!! I would NEVER and (never is a BIG word that I do not like to use) be without them and this is why!

- These little gems are simply the BEST on the market! I TOTALLY realize and I honestly can say, I also shop at stores that offer a 50% coupon and I realize that there are other companies that make items that are similar to the Stampin' Dimensionals but they are SOOOOO different!
- Ours not only have the perfect height…they "peel off" sooooo easy and there is simply NO WASTE!
- I love using them as they give a great card to a WOW card with a simple touch….and when you simply use the stampin' dimensionals – no extra postage needed……I would say probably 90% of my projects have them!
- Black Staz On Ink – As my late Mom would say….."Black and White are the classic's…and you can never go wrong with the classic's" and this is why….

- When it come to stampin' in black – you want a good and crisp image….and this is my #1 reason that I love this ink pad!
- When you are water-coloring…this ink is a must as it will not run and bleed!
- Whisper White Note Card and Envelopes – Again, if you follow my blog….you know that I use these a ton and this is why!

- Probably my #1 reason I love these are…..the size! I truly wish that they would come out with Very Vanilla…maybe soon (fingers crossed)…it is a perfect size to write a quick note!
- I love the fact that we have framelits to line the envelopes of this special size!
- I love the fact that you cam get 20 cards and envelops for just $5.95!
- Paper Piercing Tool – This might be another "weird" one for you…..but let me explain!

- This is sharp…a weapon as I call it! I find it my "handy and go-to tool" for picking up pieces of paper that have adhesive on it…
- I love it to "place" glue dots in place – they work perfectly each and every time!
- I do have and use the paper piercing templates – and I will say that I think that is a quick and effecive way to make a card go from a great card to a WOW card!
Now here is a way for you to WIN some fun! Please leave me a comment or send me an email and I will put your name in a "pot of gold".…and after all 3 posts…I will pick one person from random.org to make it fair for everyone and you will have the chance to win in honor of the NEW YEAR….

Susan

Hello Susan,
so many toys and so little time to play with them.
stamping sue

I also love the starburst framelits in the new catalog! Your circle card made out of them is so much fun. Great colors, too!
I use so many dimensionals – I’m always ordering more. SU has just the right thickness and size.
Susan, many of those are my favorites too! I also could not live without my big shot machine and embossing folders! Happy Stamping. Have fun in Houston!
Love your blog and seeing your ideas…thanks for sharing. please add my name to your drawing. Thanks
Thank you Susan for sharing your favorites and tips on how to use them. I follow you everyday and enjoy your cards. Thanks for sharing.
Susan,
What a great blog – I check it every day to see what card or project you have in store for us! Thanks ,for taking the time to share your talents with us !
Lola
Susan ~ Love this sequence of blog posts…I too have favorites SU products. I of course love the color selection and the coordination of papers, inks and embellies. Thank you for sharing.
Am loving your blog, Susan, and all the nifty things you do!!!! I also LOVE the Stampin Dimensionals!!!! They are very easy to use and I use a lot myself!!!! Thanks for sharing!
I love your ideas. I have never used the paper but am going to try it on my next order.
Yeap, your mom is one smart cookie. Always stick with what works, and black and white is classy.
I would love, love, love to get some cards made by you! I’m a big fan of yours and that would be awesome. I would definately agree about using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I have found that it is really a big time saver and helps make a card so much neater. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations with us and also your many tips and pointers.
Susan, I use many of the items you include in your favorites, but there are some I’ve never tried. I’ll have to consider some of your ideas!
Susan: I also like the paper piercing tool it is my go to. I also use it for my pearls and crystals. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Hello Susan, Yeah you are spot on with the dimensionals…..those lil buggers do wonders for any project. Thank You again for sharing what you love.
Please enter me as well. I love following your blog. I just came across it the latter part of 2013, and it quickly moved to my #1 blog. I check it everyday. I just love your style and creativity.
Hi: I never thought to use the piercing tool to place glue dots. Love the dimensionals. No others on the market compare. I cut them in half at times and don’t forget to use all the edges. No waste here.
Love to win some cards from you…..
Hi Susan – the grid paper is a keeper, for sure. I love the ruler guides on the paper and find that most of the time I do not have to go hunting for a real ruler when I am using that paper!
I hope you have a fabulous week and are staying nice and warm!
Louisa
P.S. I have a thingamajig and will take your advice and practice, practice, practice. It really is intimidating!!
I never place an order without dimensionals. They are a must have and SU dimensionals are the best on the market.
LOve your blog Susan,
and I like that you explain why you like su’s product :0)
have a happy new year!
Hi Susan,
I so enjoy your tips and your must haves match mine! Stampin’ Up is a great company with quality products.
Hi Susan, Love the dimensionals. You are so right . . . the local store selections and so thick and so hard to remove the backing. Love the “Stamp-a-ma-ja” thanks to you too. 🙂
Yours is my favorite blog. I save it to look at last and savor. (Save the best for last)
I look forward to your blog everyday………….and I have all of todays favorites.
Happy New Year to you. Simple stamping is the best way to create. love your blog.
The Stamp-a-ma-jig still gives me nightmares, guess I wil just have to practice, practice, practice:). And I agree, the grid paper is the best thing going, especially when you are designing something, I need to jot down measurements, embellishments, ribbon, etc, so I don’t forget and having the ruler is perfect.
The stazon ink pad is one of the best. the quick dry permanent guarantees a perfect image all the time. love that choice.
The paper piercer is one of my favorite tools also. It is an easy way to add a little more to the card. also it is great for picking up and placing the rhinestone jewels and pearls on cards.
I have all your favorites and love them all. Thanks Susan!
Susan, I totally agree that.dimensionals are the one product I would NEVER be without! They have always been my #1 product, hands down. It’s so fun to read about your favorites and your reasons why. Love the idea of putting glass over the grid paper.
Your favorites are great. I have started using my Stamp-a-ma-jig more since signing up to your blog! Love it!
Just got the trimmer and I love it! My old ones are going in the trash. I am going to be brave and try the stamp-a-ma-jig next. I love your blog! Thanks for sharing your ideas with us!
Susan, very much enjoy your inspiration! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely love the trimmer. Got rid of all my other ones.
Another great batch of must have items. Like you I gat the stamp a ma jig but never used it. Just did not quite get it. Then a try and the light came on and it is always at my work station and used. Thanks!
Again, I agree with your favs and love them all! I am still nervous with the stamp-a-ma-jig but will start practicing like you recommended. Thanks for all your hints with these products, too….you are so helpful and inspirational!
Your blog is amazing and you do a great at designing and inspiring (as well as informing). 🙂
They are all my favorites, too!! SU is the best!!! Thanks for sharing, Susan, I love your blog!!
Hi Susan
I love your blog and how you describe in detail about your cards.
It makes it so much easier to put the cards together. You are so
creative. Thanks for sharing daily.
Cindy S.
Many of your favourites are also mine. The dimensionals are certainly something I do not want to be without.
Hee hee. When I saw the title of your blog post I thought, “Wait?! What products are left that she hasn’t already mentioned?” Well I see you picked another great selection. There are so many much have things. Stampin’ Up has an excellent quality. You know when you are buying them it will be high quality and road tested. I have a small faux Stamp a Ma Jig and am surprised how often I pull it out. One of these days I’m gonna get one for my traveling bag.
I really thought the Stamp-a-ma-jig would be in your first “must haves” blog!! I must get in the habit of using mine more because I do tend to stamp things slightly crooked. Key word – habit. So far I agree with your lists 100%. Love your card ideas!!
I agree with all your “favs”! And those dimensionals…who could live without those?? 🙂
Love your cards and helpful hints. Keep up the good work!
o.k., o.k. and another o.k. you are one more step closer to making me try the “thing” or at least buy it! I use the simple score scoring thing off and on. I do love it in connection with the diagonal plate for my combination tea/chocolate holder. Once you get the rhythm of turn, turn, and double turn going you can whip up 50 of these in no time! I don’t even know if I have a SU black pad – I am definitely a StazOn person in black and brown! Love the cleaner for them too. Maybe I will take the notes and envelopes out of the wrapper and use them now that you convinced me I needed them! Hope you are having a good time and learning lots to teach us!
Check in on your blog everyday. Would love to have some of your cards. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for another chance to win. I agree that SU dimensionals are the best. Love seeing the products you like (makes me add to my wish list!)
Your explanations are so clear, but what medium do you stamp on for your Stamp-a-ma-Jig? SU used to have acetate refills, but now I buy either window sheets or acetate sheets. Thanks for the tips! Nancy B
I love ur blog. I have learned so much from you and I like your style. Thank you!
I agree with you on everything, especially the note cards! They’re the perfect size, and we definitely need them in Very Vanilla.
Yours is the first email I look at each day – always optomistic, joyful, inspirational, creative and especially
HELPFUL! I would love your cards AND envelopes. Happy New Year!
Please enter me in your “pot of gold” drawing!! Thank you for the inspiration!!
I, too, love Stampin’ dimensionals. I use them every time I make cards. Can’t create without them!
Thanks so much for all of the inspiration and the chance to win some blog “candy”! Also, thanks for sharing some awesome SU product recommendations!
I always like to see what others consider their favorites to be! Love your blog and simple way of making cards. They always are stand-outs! I also like the piercing tool and scorer.
I have been stamping since 1996 and love using Stampin’Up products. It is fun to see how the company has grown in their products. The quality is always topnotch! It makes it so easy to create a project when everything coordinates! Bravo for Stampin’Up!
Carol C.
I totally agree about Stampin’ Dimensionals. OMG, they are on almost every card I make. Every SU order has at least one package inside. The Stamp-a-Ma-Jig took me quite a while to get the hang of. But that’s just me. Even the unmounted stamps with their index sticker of the image you are stamping on the back need a little help in lining up the perfect position. (I should use this more!)
Thanks for a chance to win!
I love your style of cards. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your blog.
Susan, I too love all the SU products you displayed today, but my most favorite is the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig – don’t know how we stamped before this product was available. Thanks for all your lovely cards and great tips.
I also use the trimmer and really like it right on my desk top. I purchased the grid paper after hearing about the way you use it and of course the stamp-a-my-jig is a necessity for getting the front of a card just right! Thanks for the opportunity to win some of your blog candy.
It is by far a hard decision when it comes to narrowing down FABs, but the things you named today are probably the absolute basic necessities for me. Love them all. Thanks for your time sharing on your blog and have a great week, stay thawed out.
Love love love all the extra tips for ways to use the tools and other goodies!
Ooooo…someone else sings the praises of that little Paper Piercer too! That’s a sleeper, isn’t it?? So handy! Love your cards, Susan! Winning the pot-o-gold would be a real treat. (Yay!)
Most of these are my favorites too. My friends make fun of me for using the Stamp-a-ma=jig but it is my go to for perfectly aligned cards.
Hello Susan. I just love your posts. About the paper piercing tool -works beautifully to place pearls and diamonds exactly where I want them to be.
Janice
Susan,
New to Stampin’Up! and finally got my “Big Shot”! The Occasions Catalog, Sale-A-Bration event and so many talented SUD’s that are so willing to share keeps me motivated. Thanks so much for your daily blog sharing….
Hugs back at you!
I like the idea of winning the 14 cards!

I too use your first five products and love them. I agree they are some of the best on the market. Keep up the great work Susan. Anxious to see what you pick for products that you love … part #3.

Susan,
I will admit you have me doing some serious thinking about the grid paper. Your hint regarding the plex a glass probably did it for me. Once again thanks for all your great tips!
I can not live without my Stamp-a-ma-jig!!!! I was part of a Stampin’ Club for two years before the SU Demonstrator ever showed me this tool. She never used it or showed how to use it in her clubs. I went to her house to pick up an order and asked her about this tool. She showed me hers as well as how to use it. I was amazed and then astonished that she never once brought this little baby out . . . it makes a WORLD of difference! LOVE IT! It’s a must have! 🙂
You are so right about the stampin up dimensionals being the best. I used a coupons for some other brand in a retail store, and they are hard to peel off and don’t stick well either!
Thanks for your commitment to blogging every day. It is such an inspiration.
I love all your neat ideas on your Blog. I like when you share some of your favorite tools and how you use them. Some of what you share I have never thought of using them in that way. It’s one of those you know…”Why didn’t I think of that”. You make some beautiful cards and many other things. Thank you for sharing. Also, thank you for a chance to win.
I am enjoying this, and thanks for explaining the products well. Sometimes we don’t exactly how to get full use of the products.
I,too, love Mr. Big and my embossing folders. They add such texture to an otherwise simple card. You have talked me into my need for a pad of grid paper. I thought I needed other things first, but I see how handy the measurements would be. Stay warm!
Must admit I am a follower of yours. I check your blog everyday and I am always amazed at your creativity.
Thank you for sharing your ideas and the chance to win a very generous give away.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Keep on stamping.
More of my favorites also! Look forward to the rest of your “things I love”.
I would love to win your blog candy. I believe you have hit the nail on the head with these favorites, especially the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. There would never be any greetings on my cards if it weren’t for this tool. The dimensionals are the absolute best. By now I must have part ownership in that company. Love your blog.
Oh I am like you was afraid of stamping my sentiments, worked so hard on the card and then ruin it because the words were crooked. But bought the stamp a ma jig and practiced … practice makes perfect, not just words but also when doing multiple stamp designs on the card , best investment . Now I show how to use it and let them practice with it what a difference . Sometimes I think we have to go back to the basics of card making and share our knowledge. I love reading your blog very simple .
I love all the items you showed. I especially like the notecards and envelopes. Thanks for the opportunity to win:)
Thanks for sharing your talent…your ideas are always so helpful. I just recently found your site and now view it daily.
Thanks for sharing your suggestions! This time I actually have everything except the notecard set.
I hope you have a marvelous time at Leadership! Tell us all about it when you get a chance!
Love all of these products
Hi Susan, I love Sticky Tape for all those 3d projects! Thanks for the opportunity to win! I would love to win your cards!
Susan I love many of the products you have on your favorite list. I love using the grid paper. I also like to use this paper when i have friends over to play. This protects my table from the ink and the adhesive. I van not be with out the Stampin Up dimensionals as well. they are the best made. I also have tried others. I will only use Stampin Up now. I also love the Framlets. They are some of the best products.I am so thrilled That Stampin Up has come up with all of these great products. Have a great Day, Hugs. Ellen Hinds
love all your picks. love checking out your blog.
Thanks for another chance at your candy–love to see your creations & get ideas 🙂

These are great to let us know. It helps when someone is not sure what is important. TFS
Hi Susan, love the scoring tool and can’t wait to buy the card and envelope set. You do so much with them it is inspiring me to want to use them to. Thank you.
Greetings from the frozen tundra of Chicago! Your get the GOLD offer is warming things up a bit! Thank you for your kindness. Hope I win as I would like to share some of the things with my Paper Dolls Club!!! My favorite SU item of all time is the BIG SHOT and I really love the cutter. Second is the embossing folders!
Happy Stamping!
My personal favorite is the scoring tool. Threw away all my other scoring tools when my SU one arrived!
I use all these tools and don’t know what I would do without them.
Hi Susan. I love your tips, cards, ideas and blog. So much inspiration. Thanks.
Love your favorites with all the tips! Thanks for the chance to win!
My go to tool is definitely the Stamp a ma Jig!! Love that thing!
I would just love to win your cards!

My fav from these items HAS to be the dimensionals. Don’t know what I’d do without them. They make my cards jump off the page & come to life!
I totally concur about the grid paper. I still have the first pad I bought. But I use it like you do, usually covered. I also love SU dimensionals – perfect height and can be cut in half or to smaller sizes. Great quality!
