Woot-woot…it is Wednesday and I am soooo confused with the day of the week! This snow is getting to me…when I am off a day of work – I get in a tailspin…but one thing I know – it is the 1st Wednesday of the month and that means “happy times” for making cards for Breast Cancer Patients
How about this fun, bright and cheery card that would put a smile on anyone’s face…to me – polka dots…balloons…bright colors just make me smile – each and every time!
Can you figure out where this stamp is from?!?!?! It is from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit! I told you…the new Paper Pumpkin Program! This polka dot stamp is a photopolymer stamp and in this is you get 2!!!
Click here to see the video of the kit and the click here to see my post on the goodies that I blogged about when I received the kit!!! If you want one of these kits, please email me and I will be happy to send one your way!
If you go to the paper pumpkin website and sign up, you will receive a “starter kit” complete with a clear mounting block, a mini ink pad and an assortment of goodies to make some cards – BAM…done in a box!!!
Let’s get to today’s card! Fun …simple ….DONE!!!!
- The Card is an A-2 card base in whisper white!
- The colors of fun are Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango and the stamp is super fun and from the Paper Pumpkin!
- I used a variety of circle punches to create an array of circles…the sizes I randomly used were, 1 3/8”. 1 ¼”, 1” and the mini circle!
- To adhere the circles I used sparingly the Mono Liquid Glue…love it!
- Tag Time!!! These are super easy to make now that we have the Angled Tag Topper Punch, Start out with a 2” wide piece of paper and then push it into the punch…a quick punch and BAM! I then cut a Tangerine Tango piece 2 ¼” X 3 1/4” and then trimmed the edges with a pair of scissors!
- The great sentiment came from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set but I used the markers and the brush tip to color in “just the spaces I wanted” – give it a “huff of stampin’ love and works like a charm!
- I threaded a small piece of white taffeta ribbon and then knotted a small piece of Island Indigo Bakers Twine around it and done!
- Stampin’ Dimensionals to lift it up and away….a perfect finale!
- Oops – the back of the envelope is the finale – remember…when in doubt – pull it out!!! The Brights Designer Series Paper Stack!
I surely hope that this card brought a hue smile to your face and I hope you can see how versatile this card is…change up the sentiment and colors – you have one different card!!!
Please pop back tomorrow as it is a Pals Paper Art Challenge and I have a great story behind it….
Have a great day….I hope I inspired you and I hope I made you smile!
Until tomorrow!
Bright and cheerful! It did make me smile! I like polka dots, but when I try to use them, I get a mental block. I think it is because neither of my girls liked dots, an opinion which they expressed more than once, when they were younger. Funny how something like that makes you avoid something! Nevertheless, I like dots, so I need to try using them more!
Thanks for sharing! I hope the rest of your shortened week goes well!
Cyberhugs!
Interesting, Susan. Wish I could buy “Sending Good Thoughts Your Way” as a single stamp. I just don’t like all of them sometimes. This should “perk” anyone up. You did it again!
Great card…so full of life!
A bright, cherry card. Like how you put the sentiment on a tag. Enjoy your day. Hope you have sunshine.
cheery
this card should melt any left over snow! Which Paper Pumpkin kits do you have available?
I always forget about that paper pumpkin stamp. Thanks for the reminder. What a perfect sentiment for the patients. I need to make 2 cards with that same sentiment today to send. Lots of people are needing good thoughts and prayers these days.
I am daffy for dots just like the little bird character who was cucloo for Coco Puffs! Totally love this card! I am really liking tags on cards these days. I can’t wait to get the scalloped tag punch! The more I look at this stamp set the more I like it. This is a perfect card for your group to make and to give! They will love the happy thoughts of making it and the recipients will love it as well. So bright and cheery! Super great job as always!
The card is so bright, happy and cheery! This card will absolutely brighten a persons day! The polka dots are so whimsy to me!
Love this card, especially it is a stamp! 🙂
