Ok…are you getting tired of Birthday Cards? I warned you weeks ago that I had a ton of Birthdays and after tomorrow…you will get a break from them…promise!
This beautiful (in my opinion) card is for my friend…we were roommates in College…and she too is a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator! Her Birthday was yesterday so I couldn’t dare share her card with you yesterday!
When you talk about talent and sheer precision…that is MJ! She is one crafty lady and anything she touches is golden! I know that she will like this card and I hope that it brings a smile to her face!
I know you have heard me say before…when I make a card that I really like…I make a bunch of them…well this is one of them as it is clean, elegant, super simple, uses minimal products and has a WOW factor!
Let’s get going as I hope that this inspires you to HIT that SHOP NOW button and duplicate what I have done! I simply adore when you CASE my cards and I adore when you share with me your works of art from your heart! Remember…we ALL have gifts!
There are no rules….except – to have fun! So….let’s have fun! There is nothing more special and feminine than a soft, luscious pink!
- The base is Pink Pirouette but scored at the 5 ½” side making it a vertical card and the focal color of the card is Basic Gray!
- Pulling out the Vellum paper…and I ask you – have you used vellum lately? I sure haven’t but I am likin’ today’s card! I used my new best friend but I am still having some love/dis-like relationships with it….the White Staz On Ink….but the arrow is to the LOVE!
- There are 2 stamps sets that I used today, the Flower Shop which coordinates with the Pansy Punch ….super cute – super fun…these flowers are so whimsical and are also perfect "fillers" for a card!

- The other stamp set that I used was the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set…this too is a keeper as it is a POP with the Blossom Punch for a perfect end result!

- When working with vellum, it is always tricky with the adhesive…as many times you can see through it! With these flowers it was easy-peasy….mini glue dots to the rescue!
- Pulling out once again the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack…WOW – the perfect covering to my flowers! (I have used these a bunch this week!!!!)
- BLING TIME – The basic pearls did the trick!!! You know me with my dot…dot…dots! – I decided to do them in pearls! WOOT-WOOT!
- Sentiment time…the Remembering your Birthday is the Stamp Set of choice!!! Love the softness that the White Staz On Ink gives!

- Last but not least..the envelope! When in doubt…pull it out! The Neutrals Designers Series Paper Stack was my pick today! True I lined the envelope but I needed to make the mail man smile….so I decided to “jazz up the front of the envelope” - Stampin up the front…I know that MJ will love and appreciate this!

I promise….tomorrow will be the last B-day card for a bit…and it is my brothers Birthday card….and it is super cute! It is so hard making masculine cards but I think that you will enjoy it!
What a great week it has been but I will say that I am looking soooooo forward to tomorrow as I am going to an event with a bunch of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators….and I will be doing a card swap so….WOOT-WOOT – I hope I have some keepers for you!

I thank you for popping by and remember, with every order for Sale-A-Bration, I will mail you a free swatch set of the DSP….a super handy tool!!!
The best compliment that you can give to me is to tell your friends about my blog….I love what I do and I love helping YOU!
Until tomorrow!

I absolutely love this card! I have vellum but have never tried using it! That will change this weekend! Thanks Susan!
Another card that delivers miles of smiles! I love the vellum flowers! I’ve only had one bit of experience with vellum card stock at a workshop I attended, but I would like to try it again! I like the subtlety of the stamping on the vellum. Against the darker background it just pops!
Have a great Friday!
Cyberhugs!
Such a pretty B-Day card for your friend . I was using Vellum last night and thanks for the glue dot tip . I have both of these sets and love them ! Happy Friday !
Love this card. Love how the color peeks through the vellum. Pink & Grey how can you go wrong.
P.S. So, I was not correct about the paper on the back of the envelope flap being the common thing. I like games! My next guess is that you have used no SAB items in any of the cards this week.
I know it isn’t your “Susan dots,” because there were none on the blue ribbon (and, anyway, you use them all the time). Maybe I’m looking too hard.
BTW, I commented on facebook, but I wanted to say here, I love the pearls on, or instead of, your “Susan dots” by the sentiment!
Very pretty!
My favorite card of the week. I love, love, love the colors and I am definitely caseing this one.
THanks for sharing Susan.
Beautiful card…I like your ‘simple’ ideas…they are elegant
I love pink and gray together!! What a wonderfully simply yet beautiful card for your friend!
Absolutely stunning!!
Oooh! Love this card. The flowers are so easy to work with.
Susan, I love this card. The flowers just pop off the page. I love the colors together. I also love your pearls instead of your cute dot dot dot. I have both of these stamp sets. I do not have the vellum. This card is so pretty. Your friend is going to love it. Thank You for sharing. Have a great day. Hugs. Ellen
Beautiful, Susan, and love those colors together.
Hi Susan,
This card is so pretty! I love using velum card stock, it use it quite a bit. The color combo is perfect! I definitely will be casing this one!
Thanks for sharing,
Donna
Beautiful card! Don’t put those birthday stamps away for too long….you know someone else with a March birthday that will be looking forward to your card. hint hint LOL
Susan, I love this card!!! I’m going to have to pull out my Vellum and create some!! Thanks for your consistent inspiration, sadly, I don’t consistently leave you a comment, but I do look everyday and enjoy your posts!!
If she doesn’t like this gorgeous card, you can send it on to me since my birthday in the 17th! Just kidding, well, my birthday is then! I just totally love everything about it! I am just not as subtle about this as Jeanie was! Susan, any card you want to make – go for it, we love anything and everything you make! We all need birthday cards so I am thinking all these cards are just a real bonus since you tell us all the details in making them. I want to try this one soon or something similar if I don’t have these stamps. This would be pretty as a sympathy card too or a thank you card. I think we can get a lot of mileage out of this beauty! Thanks Susan!
Chris you may be the first person who ever described me as subtle. Lol. Happy st. Patty day birthday!
I agree with Chris from Iowa! I would love to receive a card as beautiful as this one. The color combo is so feminine, but adding the vellum, pearls, and the bitty flower middles was just precious. Keep inspiring us all! Simply Stampin’ is really Stupendous Stampin’!!!
Thanks for sharing. Been afraid to use vellum, but no more.
mary
I love doing this effect with white embossing powder, too. Gorgeous card. I know I’ll be CASEing it!
