Are you ready for the “shortest” post that I have probably ever done! Well…today it the day….BUT – I will say that you will be getting another post from me later today because Stampin’ Up! has something up their sleeve!
What is it???…I honestly do not know…
Later today Stampin’ Up! is going to reveal something fun that will only be for 5 days…that’s all I know but when I find out…you’ll be the 1st to know and guess what…
Blog Candy Time…WOOT-WOOT!!!
You love Blog Candy and love to give you the opportunity to win it! Heck – it’s Easter…and that means candy but your candy will be 10 handmade cards and envelops from me!!!
Let’s go to the card…it’s going to be quick…but I think it is fun, clean, sophisticated and creates a WOW factor with a minimal amount of product!
- The base is Strawberry Slush scored at 5 ½” making a vertical card!
- The Crumb Cake is 3 ¾” X 5” and then the White is a “peek” larger….3 7/8” X 5 1/8”
- I must admit…I have not used the Pleasant Poppies Stamp a bunch and I thought – think out of that box and “just do it”!!! I inked it up using the White Craft Ink!

TIP ALERT: – You have heard me before blogging that I am not crazy about this ink…but for this I likes it as it gives good coverage….BUT…I stamped it before I went to bed and then finished my card when was having coffee! (It does take some time to dry…you could use the heat tool…but a good nights sleep does the trick for me!)
- The sentiment was all about using up scraps! We love our scraps! The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set !
- The only other thing is the envelope…the DSP is the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper and it was the perfect choice for this simple card! True…I used the Envelope Liner Framelit…but remember – I have lined envelopes from the start…well before this super tool!

That’s it…and I am making a wish….that each of you have a fabulous holiday weekend and that you can still find time to “squeak in” viewing my blogs….and hopefully win the blog candy of cards!
I hope you know how much I appreciate you and I am so grateful for the great comments you leave me! From my “Project Life” post…there were many that warmed my heart !
The main thing to remember is….it IS important to leave a legacy behind…I ALWAYS did great clean and simple pages when scrapbooking but it WAS time consuming…I am excited to see how this whole system will work into my life! I am super excited!
You’ll hear from me later…hang on to your hats as I am equally excited…what do you think it will be????
Enjoy your coffee…enjoy this great card….and thanks for being YOU!
Until later…
p.s. - I hope I make you laugh…well did you notice a difference in the pictures? well…after work I stopped a Jeanie's house and she did not answer the door….I had another meeting and was afraid that it would be dark when I returned home…..so I used her steps to take my pictures!!
I wish you would meet Jeanie – she would make you laugh…one that LOVES life!

Clean and simple! Very nice, cheerful, with the Strawberry Slush, yet calm with the Crumb Cake. I’ve liked the Poppy background stamp since it was first introduced, but I still haven’t bought it. Could be on the retiring list next week…
I know you have been saving paper by punching out/die cutting the hidden parts (me, too). I’ve wondered if you ever just use the square framelits to cut out a big “piece” to use as scrap later. I don’t have the squares, but I keep thinking that would be a good idea, and then I wouldn’t have to try to figure out a way to keep track of the little things I’ve punched. Just me thinking…
Happy Easter!
Cyberhugs!
I have never used white craft ink , I think its time for me to order and try that ink it looks great and such a simple and clean card thanks always for your great card postings and chances to win candy blog !!
This is a beautiful card. I love the look of white ink, but have not used it either. I have some, so I think it is time for me to think outside the box, too. I love your cards!
Lovely CAS card, I also have not tried to stamp with White Craft Ink but after seeing this beautiful card, I will definitely get me some. Fabulous pop of color with the Strawberry Slush, one of my favorite ink colors.
Hi Bridget! YES – I do use the square framelita…the circles…just about any framelit I can when I have the opportunity to “cut out” when I am covering up an area! They always make great sentiment boxes or just a scrap! Hugs across the big pond!
Try it….but the best tip I can give you is be patient!!! I think that this was the main reason I did not like it – it DOES take time to dry and I know that you could use the heat tool….but I think that planing and knowing that it will take time to dry is the best way! I stamped the image before I went to bed!!! I do love the effect!
I love the card. I have used the white craft pad one time and it turned out pretty good. I will use it more now. I just love the card you made and Strawberry Slush is one of my favorite colors to use. Thanks for sharing.
WHAT? No one is using the white craft ink but ME?? I love it! It does take time to dry but sometimes I use clear OR white EP just for a different look. BUT, it looks awesome on its own, as you can see in Susan’s card.
BEAUTIFUL, Susan!! Love it!
I think SU is finally announcing the Blendabilities are now available? Just guessing?
Happy Easter everyone…
This is lovely, simple, sweet, and different! Love the strawberry
slush color—looks good enough to eat!
Beautiful card and perfect for this time of year! I, too, use white craft ink and wait to finish the card the next day! Thanks for the blog candy and Happy Easter to you and your family (Jeanie included), Susan!
Super gorgeous colors!! I love it so much that I’m going to order that stamp asap!!
This turned out really cute!!! Love it but then I love all of your creations! 🙂
I used the white craft ink once and it was so saturated that I haven’t used it since. I think I will go look at it and see if it dried out some. I tried a golf ball stamp and it turned out to be one big blob of white.
Happy Easter to you and yours!
I love white craft ink and you did it proud. The card is a beauty. You are right. You have to stamp and then forget it for a while. Happy Easter to you and yours.
Well it looks like I need to weed! LOL What a beautiful card. I do not like the craft ink so I think I will CASE it and use white StazOn. Happy Easter to all!!!!
Hi Mary Ann! I got your card in the card swap and I wanted to let you know how much I love it! I especially love the little itty bitty envelope on the card and I can’t wait to CASE it! So pretty and clever! Happy Easter to you!
This card is “berry” pretty! Loving those colors together and with that knock out white! I have only used my white ink a couple of times if that much, it must come out from hiding I think! I have loved this stamp but I don’t think I ever purchased it. So many stamps and so little time and money! Just maybe it could be “another” splurge item! That peek of white mating really makes this pop! I did have to smile when you told us where you took the photos!
Blog candy – gotta love that! Speaking of candy – I made four of your little holders even though I couldn’t find the Lindt bunnies. I made the holders out of plain white cardstock and then inserted a purple peep in there on a bed of white curling ribbon left from Christmas. I don’t have the tag punches so I just left it straight. I punched a hole and insert some fun white and matching purple ribbon into a big bow! Everyone loved them. They were so quick and easy! I made 4 of them in less than an hour and maybe less. The biggest time waster was trying to decide what to use for the holder and ribbon! My question, do people really eat the Peeps?
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday weekend. They are predicting rain for us on Sunday.
I love this card with the pop of white ink! Time to take that stamp off the shelf and put it to use!! Love your blogs and your “clean and simple cards”. Your way of handling the instructions is just right for me, thank you so much. I’ve been hearing rumors that SU is coming out with some kind of scrapbooking stuff. I have scrapbooked all three of my older grandsons – from birth to graduation, which means they each have 5 or 6 albums (which I used to get from Creative Memories, which they no longer sell. I still have a grandson and a granddaughter that needs/wants their scrapbooks so I still have a ways to go. Once I started making cards, though, I’d rather spend the time with the cards than the books. Bad Grandma! So I’m hoping it is something in the line of scrapbooking. Thanks so much for you blog – always interesting and educational (along with a few laughs as well!!).
Thank you for offering the blog candy. I would love to win it.
Susan, I love the card. I do not have the white craft ink. It sounds great for dark colors also.
Your card is so simple , but elegant. I first thought it was Vellum, So I had to read and see that you used the white craft ink. Have a very special Easter. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
Susan, loved your card today. I have the stamp but have only used it once. I like the way the white looks with the crumb cake. Will give it a try tonight. So many new and exciting things coming from Stampin” Up. Can’t wait to order the Project Life and the blendable markers. I really think SU is keeping on top of the newest trends. Love being a part of the company and love your inspiring ideas. Thanks so much.
Hi Chris! I have been waiting for you to post so I could thank you. I loved your card from the card swap and plan to CASE it this weekend. 🙂 What did you use to make it shiny? I love the look of dsp with stamping the same color ink as the card stock. I just got that stamp set and your card will be the first I make with it. THanks so much and Have a Happy Easter!
I was like you and did not use it…rather I did not care for it! You just need to be careful that it does not get too wet…if so – take a paper towel to the pad! I am starting to like it more and more…
So glad to hear that you are having positive experiences with the white craft ink….it has taken me a while…but then again, many things do!!!!
My guess is that the blendabilities will not be released until the new catalog…just a guess!
Yeah! I did not use it much and now I am saying why???
LOVED IT…I have been there before! Take a paper towel and dap it!!
YEAH for you making the Easter holders! I am sure they are adorable! You need to get those grocery stores in your area to get them!!!!
I’m with you….do people eat peeps!?!?!
You could never be a “Bad Grandma” – wowzers for your accomplishments!!!Thanks for popping by!
Dittos all the way around…exciting times for SU!
Ya know??? I have this White ink pad from SU and have NEVER used it! What’s wrong with me? It’s gorgeous! LOVE the Strawberry slush against that crumb cake and the peekaboo white pops it out just great! Love this card!
