It’s Easter Weekend…yippee!!! Did this card do the trick?
When you popped on this morning did I make you SMILE!!!
I sure hope so…as I am smiling for many reasons! My youngest “peep” came home for the weekend…the other 2 could not make it but it is great to have at least one home!
I am smiling because of the FREE SHIPPING all next week – yippee!!! Click here to see yesterday’s post about it and it will also explain how you can win some Blog Candy from me
(look at the picture below – I would love for you to win it!)
Let’s get to this card…I think it is super-duper cute! I usually do not use these colors but I was very pleased with the end result as it made me smile!
One thing I learned and I wanted to share it with you…This is from the Water Color Wonder Designer Series Paper…and I adore how Stampin’ Up! lists the colors of paper that coordinates with the paper pack – for this they suggested to use Tangerine Tango and I did not like that with this soft print. I think the Crisp Cantaloupe is a much better choice…what do you think?
True there are “bolder” prints in this paper pack that the Tangerine Tango would work…what I am getting at it – try different things – you might find out that it works for you!
- The Base is Crisp Cantaloupe scored at 5 ½” and then the white is 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" and the printed paper is 3 3/4" X 5" . POP this piece with Stampin Dimensionals.

- The Flower is from the Secret Garden Stamp Set and then I used the matching framelits to cut it out!

- The sentiment was stamped on a piece of white at 2 ½” X 1” and then matted just 1/8” larger! The sentiment is from one of my favorites…Happy Day Stamp Set (I will not be smiling if this stamp set goes bye-bye)
- This card is really so easy – that you do not need me….I mono glued down the 2 flowers and then POPPED just the one! (grouping in odd numbers always is easy on your eyes)
- Added details…I added 5 pearls to each flower and then I sis a quick stitch around the sentiment! Voila…done!
- The envelope came to life with the Envelope Liner Framelit and of course the Big Shot! Two tools that we could not be without!
This is a great card to make up and keep on hand….”just in case” – you could easily make it a Birthday Card…a thinking of you….an anniversary card….it’s the message that YOU write in the inside that will make it your personal touch of art!
Enjoy your day…make memories!!! I know it’s a Holiday tomorrow….but if you can – POP on by…it is mu husband’s Birthday and of course….EASTER!!! I think that you are going to like what I am making John!
Until tomorrow!

Good Morn’ Susan. Yes it did make me smile too. The colors are nice and I like the lighter cantaloupe color too. Happy Easter to you and your family. 🙂
So soft and pretty ! I agree with your color choice because it is so much more delicate . I have not used this particular flower in this set …shame on me because it is sooo cute . This is such a “Cutie” card . What a keeper to have a few of these on hand ! Thanks for the wonderful idea !
And Happy Birthday to your special Honey Bunny !
They must have picked the wrong fruit out of the fruit basket! It is CC all the way and not TT if you ask me! I love your card. Spot on as they would say! I am still not getting your posts and other PALs posts. Thank goodness I remembered to check your blog for this great card. I actually have this set and framelits that have yet to come out of their package which I had squirreled away so Mike wouldn’t see them! You know we gotta get those bundles when we can! I think I will have to make this card now!
Wishing John a happy B-day tomorrow. Watch the sugar overload between the cake and Easter candy!
