1st…a BIG Happy Fathers Day to all of those great Dad's out there and I hope that your families are able to have a fun day!
We had a big surprise…one of the "peeps" came home to surprise John! He was so touched and even though he is here for less than 24 hours…we are going to make the most of it!
John and I are starting our day taking a walk/run at the Antietam Battlefield. It is right near our house and it is a beautiful spot to walk. John is doing so well…he is up to a 6 mile walk/run and each and every step I see him take I think back to his injury – I am so proud of him!
This is a "Simple Susan" card and you do not need me for this but I will still walk you through it! This little guy is just adorable and you can bet that this will be a Breast Cancer Card in July! Do you remember last week I was saying I adore the single stamps that are in the catalog this year…well this is one of them!
Adorable…right??? The best part is that it is just $9.95! He is soooooo cute!
The base of the card is from good old faithful, the white note-card & envelopes and then this wowzers Designer Series Paper is called Lullaby. I adore the colors as it can be suitable for so many different cards and I am especially fond of stripes – too cute!
The watercolor part is 2 3/4" X 4" and then I used the Black Staz On to stamp the adorable image and then the aqua painter did their trick! The colors I used were crumb cake, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon & Chocolate Chip.
CONFESSION: I did not do the best job coloring this today (especially after yesterdays great card) but I did not have my "readers" and it is not very subtle…the crazy thing is that I used Chocolate Chip for shadowing the ears and his nose…and as it dried – it turned up with a "red look" - weird!
I matted it with the new in color, lost lagoon just a smidge larger and then popped it up with Stampin' Vitamins…too darn tootin easy! The Big Shot and the envelope liner framelit was the quick last touch!
I hope that this sweet card should make you smile – it is a breeze to whip up and you better believe that I will do it again for you in a totally different way! So fun and fast!
Have a fabulous day, make some memories and tomorrow is the Monday personal challenge for you all….I hope that you pop back but more importantly I hope that you try the challenge! There are so many of you growing and growing with developing your own style – I am so proud of you!
Happy Fathers Day…have a great day and until tomorrow!

So cute! Also wanted to thank you for the fantastic job you did with the ribbon share! so neatly done. I know that has to be a lot of work to do, so many thanks! Waiting for the next one. 🙂
Cute, cute, cute card. I love this stamp and it is on my wish list. Thanks for sharing.
So cute! Happy Father’s Day to John!
That stamp is so cute! When I saw it in the catalog, I kind of blew it off. On the page with other stamps and pictures, I thought it was cute, but not something I wanted. Then I started seeing projects done with it, like your sweet card. Now it is on my wish list!
Thanks for sharing your talents!
Cyberhugs!
Yes . . . it is on my Wish List. I love that a peep surprised John for Father’s Day, have a great one. How nice he is up to 6 miles. Terrific. 🙂
How many of us really know the colors of the koala bear? I do have a little guy that looks just like this where you press his shoulders and his arms open to grasp onto something. (advertiser give away) I usually put it on the Christmas tree. Maybe I need to get him out and add him to a flower stalk since it is so cute! So glad a peep came to help John celebrate his day. 6 – miles, wow! I gotta get that puppy and start walking again.
Very cute card and the coloring is just fine and dandy! Love that honey color for the DP though I am not sure that type of bear is into honey or not! Maybe slathered on eucalyptus leaves?
Cute cute card ! I love this little guy . He looks like you could almost hug him . Plus he is versatile so a good stamp to get . I loved your Peanuts cartoon ! You nailed it with that one and it`s message . Last ,but not least a big YAY for John !
Susan what a great treat having one of your Peeps pop in for you and John. I am so glad that John is doing so much better. I also love the Peanuts cartoon That is a keeper. Happy Fathers day to John and all the Fathers out there. Your card is so adorable. Love it. Happy stamping. Ellen Hinds
