I bet that there are going to be many of you to CASE this card and I sure hope you do! I think that it is super sweet and the simplicity of it is what makes it….do you feel the same? Please leave me a comment and let me know!
I shared with you that Hannah is getting ready to leave on Thursday for an amazing adventure! She is still in Washington and John and I are going to see her today! (I will find a way to tuck this card into something for her to find after we leave)
This is what I love about her…I said, "What do you want to do on Saturday?" – her answer, Mom can we go to the barn so I can ride one more time before I leave…..naturally I had a big smile, I adore her love and passion she has for her horses and truly the way she looks at life! ( I feel blessed that we live close enough to DC that we can see her)
At the end of the post I will share with you the trip she is getting ready to go on! Let's get to this OOBER simple card that you could easily change up the sentiment but I adore this…2 words that get to the point…miss you.
This sentiment is from of my all time favorites, For the Birds and after I pulled if off the shelf – I though….hmmmm….I need to use this and give the blendabilities a spin with this…look for that in the future! All I did was use the brush tip of the marker to just get the sentiment!
The focal part that makes this card fun yet still clean & simple is the Burlap Ribbon. Look at the below picture for some tips!
There are only 2 other "key" tools needed for this simple card…the Sweetheart and What's Up! Punches! You know how I feel about our punches…I just LOVE them and they are the best on the market!
Treat yourself and add a punch to each purchase and you will gradually add plenty to have a great collection!
Better yet, you can take advantage of the Short & Sweet deal….fill up your "hand picked" starter kit with $150.00 worth of goodies and pay just $99.00…ships for free and you would have no obligation to place another order until January 31, 2015!
Please email me if you have any questions or simply want to talk about it….
The size of the card is a note-card and I used the Crumb Cake envelope in this size…still my hands down favorite size that we carry (well…you know I love square cards) I am talking about standard cards!
Paper…paper…I love paper! Because the card is so basic, I thought adding the extra layer and then using the stampin dimensionals to give it the lift it needs – is just perfect!
Envelope time! The Brights Designer Series Paper did the trick today! How does a polka dot not make you smile…so fun and fresh! Lining the outer part is fast…ZOOM!
Quick run down on Hannah's trip! Here is a "selfie" that we took before we left the house last Saturday!
Hannah left last Saturday to meet up with 31 other students in Washington DC to meet, learn and start to grow as they leave this Thursday for a month in India, South Africa and then Brazil. She is abroad on a Public Health trip and it is simply amazing!
I was amazed that she fit 3 1/2 months worth of clothes in a back-back and the weight was only 42 lbs! I kept telling her less is best….it is not a fashion show….she is there to learn and make a difference and make sure that you have room to bring home goodies! (She packed a super thin duffel for goodies) – smart girl!
Can you tell that her mother is a Stampin' Up! addict! One of the things that she had to bring to DC was a poster (12" x 17" – what a weird size) and it had to have specific things about them…( I guess an intro for all of the kids to get to know them better)
You can see that she was looking at me like…MOM – really! Hurry and take the picture!
I am so excited to see her today and give her that last hug….John and I are so proud of her and it is wonderful to see her grow and make a difference!
Please pop back tomorrow as I will be sharing with you a product and ribbon share for the new catalog! I have another super cute card for you when you take advantage of the share! My special gift to you!
Please CASE this card and let someone know how much you love them….until tomorrow!
What a darling card – LOVE the burlap idea and I am def. going to give that a try! So touched about Hannah’s trip – What an awesome opportunity and the best part is that she is going to be helping others! Clearly, you and your husband have done a great job of raising her. I wish her safe and happy travels and remind her to soak in EVERYTHING! She will make life-long friends and have experiences some only dream of. I too had an opportunity to travel abroad when I was young and those years are some of THE BEST I EVER had. God bless and be safe dear Hannah!
Such a simple but powerful card! What a wonderful opportunity for your Hannah…safe travels to her.
Such a perfect card today, Susan. Sending safe travel wishes and prayers for Hannah’s amazing adventure!
Having lived overseas as a child and as an adult I wish every American could have the opportunity to at least visit a foreign country. It is truly an eye opening experience. Hannah will never look at America in the same way or take for granted the freedoms and privileges we enjoy daily here. Take care, Hannah. Be safe and soak up every moment and experience.
What an adventure she will have! Love this card! I think it would make a great masculine valentine’s card.
Have a safe and fabulous trip Hannah! The selfie is awesome, love your smiles. What a beautiful CAS card Susan, I so love it.
Susan, Your card is perfect for male or female recipient! Hannah is going to come back a changed person! What a fantastic opportunity. Know that she is covered in prayer for her health and safety. Love, Laurie 🙂
Susan I love your card. It’s simple yet very elegant. I love the layering of that panel and that burlap is the perfect touch and it matches the envelope. How great is that? Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful daughter with us. She is gorgeous, just like her Mama. And, I know how proud you and John must be. As parents, we teach them to grow and leave the nest, but it sure doesn’t make it easy to do so! She will do great. My prayers and wishes for a safe, happy and outstanding trip! What a fantastic opportunity. Bless you all!
absolutely love this and will definitely be casing it! thanks for the inspiration!
Such a special card for a special young woman . What a wonderful experience that will be remembered forever . I lived in Europe for three years as a teenager and will treasure that as the memories remain still vivid . God bless your Hannah as she embarks on this journey !
Susan lost you for about a month, so glad to be BACK !
Just love your work.

Life is a little frayed just like your burlap ribbon! Wonderful card for Hannah. I am sure she will be searching for a little treasure in her belongings. Wow, India, South Africa and then Brazil – oh the adventures she will have! I hope you share some of her stories with us! Hoping her a safe trip!
