Today I told you that I have something very simple for you today for this “Simple Saturday” – and WOW…this sure is simple! While I have been at the Horse Show with Hannah I have had lots of time to go ahead and pre-type my posts. I am so glad that I did and read on and you will see…
Do you ever believe that some things happen for a reason? I had this card scheduled to be posted for today but I did not expect to be typing this paragraph. I am going to keep this super short, as I get emotional. Murphy went to heaven yesterday. Below you will see a picture of him about 3 weeks ago…what a handsome boy! He gave our family 13+ years of love and lessons…he was doing so well these past couple of days but John said he could see in his eyes that it was time.
I do not know about you…but I know that animals are so darn smart and they know who is the weaker link…as much as it pains my heart that I was not home, I do believe there is a reason.
On to the card…Just look how different this card is from yesterday’s card, click here to see yesterday’s but isn’t it funny how using the same stamp set and using totally different colors can change the whole feel!
You really do not need me for this one but I know that you like it when I give you the dimensions! The base is my go-to Whisper White card and then the layer is ½” smaller = 3” X 4 ½””
I used the Color Coach for advice today. I do use this often and I think it is a must have tool to help you go out of the box in putting colors together. I am always surprised at what it comes up with and I always smile with the end result.
The colors I used today were Sahara Sand, Strawberry Slush and Raspberry Ripple. A quick stamp with the colors shown did the trick and then I took the super fun sentiment from the “Just Saying” Stamp Set. This stamp set has matching framelits so it is a cinch to pull together!
Adding Stampin Dimensionals to both the sentiment and also the base makes this a super easy and clean, crisp and just “down right fun” card to make! I think that I am going to use this one at the end of the month for my stack and stamp – this kind of card can come in handy for so many!
Because it was so easy I thought that the envelope needed a doubly whammy! You can see that I carried the same theme to the front of the envelope!
TIP ALERT! You can see that I put the sentiment on the front! I get many people emailing about when I do this if it says on in the mail! YES it does for me! I always use Mono Glue (I call it the Green Glue) and I always make sure that it nice and flat. I also ask the postmaster to “hand stamp” my cards as it is one less machine for the, to go through!
The 2nd part to the envelope was using the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack to line the outside flap of the envelope. THAT’S it!
Now…am I right!?!? Wasn’t this simple? Wasn’t this doable?
Mix up your colors and HAVE FUN! This stamp set, Work of Art is just that…a total work of Art! I encourage you to google this stamp set and I think that you will find such a variety of ideas that you will agree that it is a must have on your shelf!
Thanks for popping in, please feel free to email me and I do hope that you pop back tomorrow as I have another super easy Masculine Birthday Card!
Until tomorrow!

Susan, I do know exactly how you feel. 🙁 We lost a furry friend two weeks ago, and I was gone at the time. It is a deep pain to lose them, but remember the joy you gave each other.
Praying for your peace.
Susan,
Your post brings tears to my eyes. A big hug to you this day. Your four legged boy was blessed to be part of your loving family. Thank you for your daily stamping inspiration.
Prayers for you and your family.
Love and prayers for you Susan, and the family.
Heartfelt love and prayers to you and your entire family. Know that MURPHY has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is having a wonderful and pain free time and he will be there waiting for all of you to be reunited one day. God bless.
So sorry.
So sorry Susan. We recently lost 2 of our 15 year old cats one right after the other. Just know how much love you gave Murphy and how much love he brought to your family. They are truly one of our 4 legged children! Hugs!
So sorry to hear of your loss. Our pets become such an integral part of our family through the years. I know you have many wonderful memories that Murphy was a huge part of, I pray they bring you peace.
So sorry for your loss Susan. Praying for you and your family.
So sorry.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Susan. Sending you a big hug!
I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
First thing,I love the card. Now, I am so sorry to hear about Murphy. It’s always so sad to hear about losing our furry friends. Just remember that he’ll be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge.
Susan, it is so very hard to say good-bye to a beloved pet. They are with us for a relatively short time but make such a huge impact on our lives and the joy they brought lasts forever. Please take care.
Murphy was a very handsome dog and I could tell from the picture he was simply wonderful. My heart hurts for you and he is still watching over you and your family just in a different way.
I am so sorry for your loss!! Everything happens for a reason and HE probably thought it better for you not to be there he knows who can handle it and who can’t. My thoughts and prayers are w you!!
So sorry to hear about Murphy. I still think about the dog that helped “raise” me almost thirty years later. From reading your blog, I know that Murphy was well loved, and he was as fortunate to be a part of your family as you were to have him in your life for 13 years.
Hugs, Susan!
Hugs to you and your family. Writing this with tears in my eyes. Our yellow lab Ranger is 12 and we see him slowing down a little every day. Your card today is beautiful in Susan style…<3
Susan, know that others lift you up in your sorrow. I had to put my 18 year old shih tzu down two years ago. She let out a hugh sigh and that’s when I knew to hold on to her was selfish. There are animals in heaven waiting for their loving friends. Hugs to you and your family two and four legged.
Susan, sorry for your loss of Murphy. I know what a hole that losing a pet can leave in your heart.
Susan my heart goes out to you in the loss of your beloved Murphy. Our pets are indeed treasured members of the family. Hugs!
I am so sorry for your loss Susan. Prayers and hugs!
So sorry to hear that your family has lost a canine member. We had an older dog who my son said told him by the look in his eyes that he was tired and ready to go to heaven.
It doesn’t make it any easier and my heart goes out to all of you.
I am crying for Murphy and I don’t even know him. I have a real soft spot for animals.
Remember the happy times – great memories.
The loss of a pet leaves such a whole in your heart, love the photo of him, looks like he was a wonderful and loving dog! I’m so sorry you are having to endure this. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Susan, I am so sorry for your loss.
Your card has such appropriate sympathy colors, too! This is the hardest part about having pets and it just tears our hearts apart, doesn’t it? Mine hurts for you, and my white-faced, yellow Lab Libby is right next to me expressing her sympathy, too. Laurie
Thinking of you, Susan. Sending love and hugs….Murphy is a beautiful boy.
Nothing seems to hurt more than the passing of our fur babies. So sorry for your loss.
Susan, condolences to you and your family.
Susan, I’m so sorry about Murphy. As I told you in a previous blog, I lost my Lucky the Friday before Convention. In all the pic’s, you could just see the puffy eyes I had. We did adopt two kittens Boris and Natasha. We took then to our Vet yesterday and Natasha has an umbilical cord hernia so she will have to have surgery already. We’ve not had the a whole month yet and are bringing us so much joy.
I know how your heart is breaking; but, as our Vet told us and we already knew, it was time. And, I know when it is my turn, my Mom will be waiting for me with Lucky in her arms.
Blessings to you and yours!
Susan, so sorry for your loss of Murphy.
Susan,
We lost our 14 year old german shepherd 1.5 yrs. ago, and I can still tear up thinking of her. She guarded and played with our kids and their friends in wonderful ways. My Syd can never be replaced. Like Murphy, these animals add so much to our families. My thoughts are with you.
Susan and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Murphy. Pets really do bring so much joy and complete our families. I hope you find comfort in happy memories and picture Murphy chasing bunnies and all of the thing he loved in doggie heaven. My condolences.
Susan, I am so sorry you had to say goodbye to Murphy. Our furbabies are such important family members. Hugs to you.
Very handsome! Maybe he is meeting up with our Murphy and Henry and having a good ol’ romp. Was this card for Hannah after the horse show and you both had gone home? It is a great card. Hugs and good wishes to you and your family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved dog
of 9 years this week as well. Very painful and they will always be missed
I am so sorry for your loss. Murphy looks like he was lots of fun. It’s hard to say goodbye to pets who have been big parts of our lives.
Oh Susan, I’m so sorry to hear about your beloved Murphy. My heart is sad for you and your family. I know that you will cherish the 13 years of precious memories spent with Murphy.
I loved the card you shared with us today.
Blessings to you and your family,
Teresa
So sorry for your loss. We had to put our yellow lab down last year and it was so incredibly hard. I still miss him so much. They are such a big part of the family and a hole left after they leave. Hang on to those memories and cry when you need to. *HUGS*

Sending lots of cyber hugs and hoping the pain of losing your beautiful Murphy will pass quickly.
Susn, I am very sorry for the loss of your wonderful friend, Murphy. He will be watching over you from heaven
Susan,
So sorry about Murphy. It is so hard to lose a pet because they are such a part of the family. We had a golden retriever for 13-1/2 years and lost her about 14 years ago. Still can’t bring myself to replace her. Maybe some day. But enjoy the memories of Murphy. I still smile when I think of certain things I or other family members did with our Holly.
Love, Pat
Susan, I know this is late…..I have been off the radar for awhile. I am so sorry to hear you lost Murphy . I am glad you loved him enough to let him go before he suffered too much, that had to have been a hard hard decision. Your memories will be such a gift.
