Today's card I was super excited when I sat down and started to create it. My circle punches were still out from yesterday's card and I thought, what the heck – why not do a quick punch…run it through the Fancy Frame Embossing Folder and let the simple floral image pop through….GREAT IDEA RIGHT?…..Well…..SPEED BUMP!
You can see that I did a vertical card and below you will see the tips I shared…I was so excited and thought – wow, this is super easy. I colored it on with the Blendabilites in the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. Still saying to myself…this is so easy and then I opened up the card and this is when the speed bump came…I forgot how the blendabilities bleed through! Silly me……
Plan "B" went into action and I simply cut the image and adhere it behind the cut out circle piece and used sticky strip to adhere it! I have lots of pictures for you….so I hope you enjoy!
This stamp set is just beautful. It is a hostess stamp set and WOW, it is beautiful! Please email me and together we can get a plan for you to earn this!
You can see how much thos set lends itself to the blendabilites or a simple water color! I did also stamp that beautiful sentiment in the inside of the card….a clean, simple yet elegant card!
I am really enjoying these new markers….true there is a learning curve but once you play around…they really are fun! I stil have a long way to go to master them but remember – BABY STEPS…and always remember to have fun!
A simple piece of the Hello Honey Satin Ribbon was the perfect yet subtle touch. I used a glue dot to adhere the "simple knot"
Now to my favorite part…the envelope! I hope that you are smiling – remember the tip I shared on the below photo…it is very easy to color the envelope but don't forget to put that scrap paper in!
There is plenty of room to address the envelope I love this liner from te Moonlight Paper Stack! Doesn't this make a beautiful card! One that can be easily duplicated and a suggestion would be to make a bunch at one time!
I like to have projects ready to play with if I am waiting for an appt….being in the car….(I can get LOTS done when we take road trips!) Seriously, go ahead and stamp the image (remember to use the Memento Ink) and get a container to keep everything tidy…add your markers and then work away!
The color schemes that you could change up could be endless! The variety of textures and shapes create a classic look!
Get ready for fun tomorrow…it is the BLOG HOP and the Pals are showcasing products they love from the new Holiday Catalog! There are over 31 Hops….so get ready for inspiration to the max!
Tuesday…..you know what that means, click here to see the weekly deals! Thank you Stampin' Up! for doing this!
Enjoy the day and until tomorrow!
Beautiful result. I too have had that mistake of coloring in an image only to realize it bled through. The fun of crafting is taking our mistakes and creating new masterpieces. You certainly did that here.
Thanks for sharing your little bleed through. No one would ever know you had a different plan in mind. The card looks great.
🙂
What a beautiful card.
love this card. Beautiful.
Needed a little inspiration and here it is. Love your take on the set. Thank you for ALWAYS sharing your beautiful creations!
Nice recovery….but I did not expect anything less! Love the crispness of the card! So elegant and “soft.” Great job as always, Susan!
Gorgeous! I have that hostess set and may just have to CASE your card esp. since I need a sympathy card! But I will have to change the ribbon since I don’t have that. Thanks for the reminder of the bleeding through. I haven’t played with the Blendabilities so I might just use my markers. Either way, this is a classy card! Love it!
