Good Morning! Last Sunday was the big Breast Cancer Event that Jeanie and myself made fun Stampin' Up! goodies but really the main star was Jeanie and Sister Corda as the 2 of them made 176 of these adorable tea pots to have as a favor on the table for the Tea!
Isn't this a labor of love!!! I truly wish that Jeanie would blog as she is not only super talented but she is also super funny and I know that her personality would shine thru…I asked her if I could share with you the tea pots so I will do my best to walk you through it!
If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments and I am sure that Jeanie will answer them! I am amazed with technology as I texted her and she sent me these pictures to my cell phone and a brief "how to" so I hope I get it right! I have never made one but they are super cute!
You start with a piece of cardstock at 4 1/2" X 8 1/2" (folded in half) The key and shining star tool is the Oval Bigz Die an because it is on an angle, you will have to turn the paper to the side and snip off the excess so it can go thru the Big Shot!

For the Tea, Jeanne and Sister used a variety of Embossing Folders! It made it look so festive and seeing the different textures was truly beautiful!
I do not think the below picture shows it, but Jeanie just embossed the front part of the folded piece…it made it look so professional as it was great to see the back of the tea pot was not embossed. To do this, simply leave the back side of the paper not in the embossing folder before you crank it through!
Next, simply cut the top off like in the below picture and keep it aside…this is your spout! Isn't this embossing folder just beautiful!
Now for the handle…easy-peasy! Punches to the rescue! You already know how I feel about our punches…they are the best on the market and they are such a time saver…the best tip I can give you is to try to add one to an order and in no time you will have a great collection of punches!!!
1st punch with the Large Oval and then go back and center the X-Large oval and presto – a handle!
Adhere as shown and I would recommend the Multi Purpose Glue….you really do not need much but this glue has a super hold and it allows you great "wiggle room" to get it "just where you want it"
So darn tootin' cute! I am not a tea drinker but I think they are soooo super sweet that it is worth making some! You could put a gift card in it….or you could also put a piece of chocolate…..NOW I LOVE IT – especially if it is dark chocolate!
Now I do not think there is no denying that it was AMAZING that she volunteered her time and energy to do this labor of love for Breast Cancer! Again, another reason why what we do DOES make a difference.
We continually touch peoples lives and make a difference. I am super proud to call Jeanie my friend and super lucky to have her as a downline! There is never a dull moment when we are together!
Speaking of being together….we have a PILE OF FALL SWAP CARDS to go through! I have been sooooooo good and have not opened a single one but once we get together…watch out!
Have a GREAT day and please leave Jeanie some great comments of paper love…and go sing ….
"I'm a little tea pot short and stout…..here is my handle….."

Ohhhh, what a wonderful idea to make a teapot card. It looks very nice on the pink ribbon folded napkin.
And the tutorial is very clear, thank you for sharing it.

Love, love, love it! Thank you Jeannie for a beautiful idea and thank you Susan for kindly sharing with us!
Beautiful! We are called to be instruments of comfort to one another and you and Jeanie and Sister Corda have it down to a “tea!” : )
How clever! I bet the tables looked beautiful. Definitely going to try this. Great job!
Awww, Susan, that’s so lovely!!! Tfs,
Hugs Frenchie
Jeanie & Susan, what a beautiful description and instructions. The tea pot is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. Jeanie and Sister Corda, you did a great job, I’m sure everyone had a good time. Congratulations!
🙂
Jeanie and Sister Corda, I really want an event for which to make these! They are wonderful! Thanks for sharing the pictures and instructions, Jeanie and Susan!
Cyberhugs!
I am amazed how well the photos came out. Sister Corda and I had teamwork down to a “Tea”. LOL The size of the card stock is a regular A2card- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. You can make 2 out of 1 sheet of card stock. When finished they fit in an envelope and would be cute to send to a friend as a get well card. You could add any sentiment on front and I actually love the idea of using the new tag punch in the holiday catalog to make a tea bag to add a little note. So much fun to make for a worthy cause! Susan is such an inspiration!
How adorable is the tea pot??!!! Love it, the picture directions are fabulous so thank you Susan and thank you Jeanie for sharing this super cute party favor. I don’t know why this post landed in my “promotions” folder so, I must thank my card swapping buddy Sonny Peterson, for alerting me to it.
This is unbelievably CUTE…I want to make this for all the girls birthdays next year….doesn’t leave room for any of my other stamp sets does it?? VERY Nice idea!
I have seen this before and loved it but even when asked, instructions were not shared. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this great tutorial! Can’t wait to try it out! You rock!!!
So cute and clever! I just might have to make some! Thanks for sharing the good details/pictures – what a big help – makes the project “do-able”.
Thank you Jeanie and Susan and Sister Corda! What a Tearific idea! I had seen one of these but the directions had not been clear and I gave up after two goofs. Your directions and photos are much more clear! I can’t wait to try this! I can not believe how many you made for the event! I just love these!
This is so clever! I just love teapots and teacups and the directios are very clear, so I know I will make this. Thank you so much.
You sure are keeping me busy, Susan with all these neat boxes, witches broom and teapot:) My brain is working overtime at the moment.
Gotta go, working on the Oh Henry box but too a break to read today’s projects.
