Saturday, Jeanie and I had a Stamp Camp and this was one of the cards that we made! It was funny that after each session, we said – "Which card did you like best?" This was the one that they said – I think it was because they liked the "fold part" and it taught them that it really was not hard to do!
I had a bunch of this paper left over from my September Stamp Camp and when I asked Jeanie – any ideas????….she instantly shared with me this idea that she found on pinterest. I have search and searched and cannot find the email that Jeanie sent to me but here is my take….it is sooo darn easy!
I just FOUND IT – it came from demonstrator Sharon Burkett, you can see that her card opens up but I found this method that I am showing you today to be super fast and easy! Remember, if you want more space to write a note….easy – just put a piece of white on the back of the card to write a longer message!
I did this same technique months ago….click here to see the original post and you can see that it is easy…just please try it – it really is fun and a great way to utilize DSP!
This is a flat card…and it is fun to make – please have fun making this and email my your card - always love to see what you all make! (Yesterday I had 6 people email me their take on the sketch)….thanks for sharing – I am proud if each of you!
The base is Mossy Meadow at 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" (you can make 4 cards from 1 sheet of paper….remember it's a flat card) The white is 5 1/4" X 4".
Now to the fun….take (2) pieces of DSP at 3" X 4"…look at the photos below to see how it all comes together – so darn tootin' fun!
This piece will be adhered to the back of the white piece and then once you do both triangles – adhere this whole piece to the Mossy Meadow.
The "center squares" sizes are (Mossy Meadow 3") and the (Cajun Craze 3 1/8") and then the leaves are cut out from the Autumn Accents Bigz Die (this is a die that often gets overlooked in the catalog and I love it) – I will be using it tomorrow as well!
After running the leaves through the Big Shot…I ran it through again using the Wood Grain Embossing Folder to give it texture and feel! (I just love that look and feel)
When you go to adhere the leaves, remember not to let them go outside of the edge of your card or it will not fit into the envelope and that will make you really sad!
The stamp is a bundle and I would definitely get the bundle! It is called Merry Everything and it is a fun set! Getting a stamp Set and a punch at 15% off….that deserves a woot-woot!
Remember, your "writing space" is a bit limited with this card but place a piece of whate cardstock on the back to write more! This is just a super fun card that will make you feel proud that you DID IT!
Fun…right? Please let me know what you think. Thanks for popping in and I hope you give this a try! We are in the last week for several SU promotions!
- Pick a Pack of Paper and become a PAL – (say that 3 x's)….being a part of the Stampin Up family is the "feel good" that everyone needs and deserves – if it is not for you….no worries, no penalties and we will always be stampin' buddies….email me and I would love to talk to you about joining my team
- The Good Greeting Stamp Set, yours free with a $300.00 order or event! Email me and I will get you a hostess code and you can ask family and friends to help you earn this great set….a keeper of all keepers! LOVE IT!

Thanks for sharing your time with me and until tomorrow!

Hello Susan,
Indeed a fun card and your version looks wonderfull.
I will try this out for sure.
The ‘click here’ does not work, can you tell the day/month you showed it before.
Beautiful card!
Thanks Carla…..I did link it and I also found the demonstrator that the idea came from! Please make this card up – it is a fun one to do!
This is Gorgeous, Susan, so clean and crisp and looks like fun! One question: Do you only glue the Cajun piece to the top triangle, but leave the bottom triangle unglued from the Cajun? That’s what it looks like to me, but I want to be sure. Thanks~
Hi Roberta….YES – just add the adhesive to the top….the bottom just hangs! I think it is just fine like this but I guess you could get a tiny piece of Velcro but I really do not think it is necessary….please have fun with it!
It is a great way to use DSP that has a relatively small print to it!
Cute ! Will try this for sure .I like the easy ones and you give such good pictures to follow. Plus I love that adorable Acorn print !
Just had another look and see that you have added the link etc.
Thank you very much Susan.
I tried to send you a scan of my finished card. I did it for my 89 year old friend’s birthday using your fold technique. I love how it turned out and I know she will too. Thanks so much. Wish the email could have gone through so you could see it.
