Creating cards is fun…right? If it is not fun, than we get frustrated! I do not want you to be frustrated so today I am going to share with you a simple card using heat embossing.
This is a wham BAM card that can be whipped up in no time plus change the color of paper if you get bored and PRESTO – a while new look!
It is super hard to see the color in it's "true" state with the pictures (sorry!!!!) but trust me – it really is pretty! I used old faithful, the note-card for the size of the card base and then the layers are in Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon….sooooo pretty together!
I blogged several weeks ago with the bordering blooms stamp set and you can see once again how simple and sweet it is! I am lovin' using the clear embossing powder to heat emboss – the effect it gives is just stunning and then I took my other old faithful….the white get pen and colored over some of the flowers….doesn't that make it pop!?!?!
The hello was in the white embossing powder and then my signature "trio dots" did the trick! I still gets as exited to heat emboss as I did the very 1st time I learned that technique!
Using the All is Calm DSP to line the back flap was a cinch and this is where I had my color inspiration today! I often let my DSP for my liner to "guide the way" for the color scheme for the day!
That's it – super fast, fun and oh so do-able! This would be a great gift to give someone, make up a dozen of these in different colors – using different DSP and WOW – you have one special gift to give!
Time is ticking on the great opportunity to get a pack of (your choice) of DSP for the next 6 months! If you take that test drive with Stampin' up! and me…you will earn the paper plus be able to get all of your Stampin' Up! goodies at a discount each and everytime you order! Please email me if you would like to chat!
Enjoy your day and pop back tomorrow……something super practical and fun up my sleeve!

got the supplies list but not the card…bet it’s a beaut!!
Same here. Looking forward to seeing the card though. The supplies look as though it will be pretty.
Supplies, but no card
YIKES everyone!!!!
I learned a GREAT lesson…..I was not going to check my email as I am getting ready for a Stamp Camp today and WOW – I am glad that I did….I worked on my post (yesterday) for today and after I completed it I forgot to refresh!
You can see how my blogs are a work in progress!!! Enjoy – thanks for the “heads up” that it was not complete!
You all are the BEST! Hope you like the card today – it is soooo sweet!

Oh Susan ! This color combo was on my mind last night (as I was shuffling through my cardstock samples from you (really ) ! I want to get that beautiful Soft Sky seam binding and so I started playing around with my colors . I guess I will have to say that border reminds me of Mistletoe ! What a delightful card !
Happy Saturday !
I love this set, Bordering Blooms, all the images are beautiful as they are versatile. It’s on my wish list just waiting for the end of this month.
Thank you for sharing this really pretty and easy to do card.
I knew it would be a pretty one with the supplies you showed.
So glad I checked back – it’s lovely Susan.
Oh, I really like that card, clean and simple.
Pretty! I am going to have to put those stamp sets on my wish list. I love the effect of clear embossing on colored paper.
Have a fun stamp camp!
Cyberhugs!
Ha, ha, ha! I guess I have to get that Bordering Blooms set too. (I have the Hi There set, not inked up yet, though. You just make the best darn cards!
🙂
Very sweet and pretty! I really like that Bordering Blooms set. It did nothing for me in the catalog but the cards you have made with it are super cool! Love the paper you used with on the envelope. Another fun clean and crisp cards you make!
Received my swap card today. It was the one with the cute cauldron – the embossing on one of the mats works so well with the dotted paper. I really like it! Now, I gotta go back and look at it on line and see who made it! Swaps are so fun! Thanks again Susan and Jeanie for doing it.
Love this card and the beautiful colors! Also, I got my card swap today and I love it! Excitement filled the air in my house! Hope we do it again! Thanks Susan.
