Happy Sunday to all! I thought that this "subject line" might get your interest as I still do not "get it" what "# " is but I think that one would say… – it is "on trend" with obviously a different generation than I am in!
Even though I do not "get it", I do like this stamp set for especially the (3) large stamps as they work for me! Why….well they are clean, bold and just plain fun and the 2" punch works perfectly with them each and every time!
Anyway…I needed a thank you card for a friend and I thought that this would be fresh and fun card for her! This is crisp and fun…and the Large Dot Embossing Folder makes the card stand out and say WOW!
Where did my color inspiration come from? The Park Lane Designer Series Paper. I often go to my swatches of SDP to be inspired for the card color choice and when I saw the circles in the fun DSP…my card came together in my head!
This is a very basic layout and one of those "keeper" card I often talk about….think about it as a formula and make it over and over again! The stampin' dimensionals give it a big lift that always makes a card stunning – especially when you are using a white on white….just love the look!
I know that I have been using this burlap ribbon a ton lately but I just love the little extra touch it gives! Simply pull off some of the threads and have fun! Using glue dots makes it easy to attach!
Pulling out the good old Stamp-a-ma-jig made stamping the lower image on the front of the envelope a snap! Calypso Coral is a color that I do not use often but it is very classic and fun!
Make your way to your craft area and make up a card like this! THis is a great basic layout and I am sure that you have many stamps that this would work with. I think that many times we think if everything being in the center, but I like having the focal point off a bit.
I think having the ribbon go up like it is ….allows your eye to be balanced and makes the card unique and one that you would remember! (hope that makes sense)
Enjoy this cold day….in the East it has been very, very cold but at least we have not had SNOW….I think that snow is beautiful to look at but I am not a fan. Snow Days for me are in my craft area lovin' the time off!
Over this weekend I already felt the "commercial buzz" of the season (which makes me kind of sad) as we have not even had the wonderful celebration of Thanksgiving…enjoy the journey of each day and embrace all that we have today….tomorrow will be here soon enough!
You all are the best! Until tommorrow….Make it Mine!

I love this card and might have to get this stamp set!!!!
Hmmmm…..I don’t get it either Susan, the # symbol, to me at least, means NUMBER, like #1??? Weird, who knows what the designer had in mind for this set.
Your card is really pretty, CAS too!! the ribbon tied up with the linen thread adds a touch of fun to your design. I love the color of the card stock and ink but, is it Calypso Coral? in my lap top screen looks a bit like Crisp Cantaloupe.
Thank you for sharing.
Good Morning All, Love all the circles. Your stamping is beautiful and so crisp. Love the ribbon with the twine.
🙂
I too don’t get the hashtag stuff so never considered this set. But I do like the circle stamps and love them with the polka dot embossing folder. I always try to center things but love your card with the sentiment off center!
Such a beautiful card. The circles just make the card and I love what you did with the ribbon. The burlap ribbon adds just the right accent to the crisp Calypso Coral ribbon. Thanks for sharing.
I also do not undetstand how the number sign changed! My husband and I had this conversation on Monday night. Any whoo, your card is fantastic as always. The ribbon accents are perfectly placed!
I am not a “hash tag”gal either…but I agree on the sentiments .
I love circles…(loved Circle Circus) and I just got the Polka Dot EF and looking forward to doing lots of “round” stuff.
Calypso Coral always seems to be that surprise color to me . I forget about it ,but I get surprised after I use it because I like it . In fact I used it on my Thanksgiving cards .
This is a cute card and very pleasing to the eye with all that roundness !
Good morning , Susan…..what a simple, beautiful card. I can see it with every color. Definitely a keeper! #funeasyandcrisp
I saw a funny saying the other day about you say it is a number sign and I say we play tic tac toe on it, but what is this hashtag stuff?! I think the hashtag is a perfect way to get a little dig in as my one friend is the queen of #embellishingthetruth lol
Great card, nice and clean and crisp.
Great card! I am another one who does not really get the hashtag thing. # should be “number” as was mentioned by someone else, or “pound,” though I never really got why it was a “pound sign” either. Whatever! I do like the big sentiments, too, though! And I really have to try this kind of card with so much white space and only one other color!
Cyberhugs!
Of course I certainly don’t get the hashtag thing either. My cell phone doesn’t even take photos or text. to me BFF means Teddy (our puppy) Best Furry Friend who lives next door. Frieda is a Burmese Mountain puppy who is a couple months older and 3 times taller than Ted. She can walk over him and he bites her butt or tail and she grabs his long ears and away they go tusseling around with out a care in the world! We had snow and it is cold. Teddy isn’t sure what this stuff is but likes to eat it and can’t figure out why I don’t want to play in it.
Sorry to ramble on about the puppies but that brings me to this card, so fresh and happy – quite the opposite of the cold gray day we had yesterday. It is sunny though today just like your card!
Go for it… It’s a great stamp set that I think it lends itself to clean and crisp designs .
I’m so glad that you don’t get the #thing either… No, the color is calypso coral – sorry it might be the photography! I picked that color because it matched the designer series paper. Thanks for popping in today…..
I am totally with you on that comment… That is the reason why I did not purchase this stamp set when it first came out. But after I could see the endless ideas with the big circles I went for it!
Thanks for popping in and I’m glad there’s someone else that likes things symmetrical… It was hard for me not to center it but I like the way it turned out. Have a great day!
Thank you…such a sweet comment! I just adore that embossing folder – it makes all the difference in the world!
I am totally with you with that color – it is a color I do not often use but it is very pretty. Circle circus is one of my top 10 favorite stamps I would never part with it. I’m so glad it also is in MDS as we can still use it in that fashion as well!
Wow Mary Ann… You are the hipster of all of us! # maryanniship
Wanta play tic-tac-toe!!!!!!!
I’m with you I never got the “pound” sign either ……. Your comment totally made me laugh!
You did it again Chris… You made me smile and you made me laugh! I can remember the first time I heard the phrase BFF I had no clue either what it was but I like your version of it best! I hope Teddy has fun in the snow.
So glad we’re all on the same page… It must show our age! Thanks for the comment!!!!!!
