Hello again, this is the 2nd post that I am posting for the day and I apologize that this is so late getting out to you! Please click here to see the 1st post as it was the PPA Challenge.
I did a quick "scan" of comments and I see that many have asked about the mailing of this. Tomorrow I will do a quick Blog post on this adorable little bow and what it looks like when it is punched out etc….and talk about the mailing.
Because this post is soooooo late getting to you – I will give you another day to leave a comment for the #2nd day of Blog Candy(this post)….Remember, you will have (2) chances to win so click to the 1st post if you missed it. I have been totally enjoying reading the comments of the things that you love….
Today let's talk about the 3 Stampin Up! TOOLS that we have that you could not live without! This one is easy for me (well I think it is)
- Stampin' Trimmer – Could not….would not be without it – SIMPLY the BEST on the Market!
- Big Shot – He IS my MAIN MAN in my craft area….I refer to him as Mr. Big Shot!
- Stamp-a-ma-jig – I just LOVE this little piece of plastic – to me is is the "shining star" to great cards!
Well….what about YOU? Please leave a comment so we all can see which tools that you could not live without! The 3 that I picked hold true to my philosophy of the basics! They will never let you down!
Here is the Blog Candy for today! A dozen handmade cards from ME! This alwasy seems to be a hit and it is my pleasure to send them to you!
Because of the lateness of this post, I will not announce the winner until Saturday morning….this should give people plenty of time to check their email.
We have had a rather rough start to the New Year…A family friend passed away this morning from a very short battle leaving 2 young boys…please keep her in your thoughts and prayers – very, very sad.
Happy New Year again, and I look forward to hearing the 3 tools that you couldn't be without! Until tomorrow – it will be a short but hopefully helpful post for you!
I could not live without my folders. I just love
Using them.
Susan – I so sorry for your loss! I will definitely add your friend and her family to my prayer list.
What I can’t live without in the papercrafting world is my snips, green glue and Big Shot.
Blessings to you and yours!
My big shot I is actually the first thing I purchased from stampin up
I love embossing my cards to give them a special touch
The three tools, lets see, score board, ink pads, stamps, paper wow didn’t realize there is more and more.
Simply scored board….makes simple look elegant.
Bone folder…love the crisp clean fold that it makes, even it the card is scored already.
Two way glue pen ….let’s you add glitter to just the right place and take down those pesky corners
Punches…stamping up has some of the best, easiest to use punches. I am definitely a punch hoard. I had to make templates of them all since I forget all that I have.
3 tools that I can’t be creative without would have to be the snail glue, my big shot, and embossing folders!! Thanks for the chance to win some wonderful cards from you!!
I love my punches…..really dislike fussy cutting. Would love to win those gorgeous cards.
I have to say the trimmer….I just love it
Definitely need the trimmer, the big shot and the ink pads. But obviously could list a lot more “musts”!
Punches and big shot. Love thinlits and embossing folders
The three you mentioned, cutter, big shot and stamp-a-ma-jig I wholeheartedly agree with. I’ll add one more…embossing folders. Just a simple emboss puts a nice touch on a plain piece of paper to give it some dimension.
Cutter is my favorite bone folder and the stamp scrubber are the top three for me.
I love my punches and Big Shot, Framelits and Embossing Folders, also the paper snips are the best!
The Big Shot and Magnetic Platform, absolutely the best! Next comes all the Framelits.
My 3 tools are sponges love them, bone folder and simply scored scoring tool! Thanks again for the chance to win.
I must have my Stampin Trimmer and I love my punches.
Oh my gosh! THis is so hard as I love stampin up tools! Well definitely need the big shot and embossing folders for the quick and easy wow factor, and have to have the trimmer/scorer…love that it is all in one! And I absolutely love our punches….another quick and easy wow. So much to love!!! (Your cards are gorgeous!! Some don’t look familiar….I can’t believe I missed a post or two. LOL)
So sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family. I can’t live without my Stampin’ Trimmer, Big Shot, and Stampin’ Score Board!
Happy New Year!
Hugs…
Sunshine Sharon
My Big Shot is a must in almost everything I do. Next is my embossing folders and then all the wonderful punches.
Messed up and gave the Big Shot as my item for yesterday, so today I’ll cover yesterday’s post. Glue dots are my best friend…….use them for more than just papercrafting!
The trimmer is the best!
Punches, big shot & cutter. So sorry for your loss.
I use my Big Shot for almost every card. I like my Simply Score Tool and my Paper Trimmer, these are the tools I use for every card. Love your blog!
Punches……love them!
Big Shot and dies for sure and since I goofed on the last post, the basic would be whisper white cardstock.
Absolutely Mr. Big Shot!!!
Whoops!Yesterday I said big shot so today I will say embossing folders to go with it.
Big shot for sure….both for dies and embossing folders. I probably use it at least once for every card I make……LOL.
First, I cannot live without the Big Shot and I agree…he’s the man! Second, Stampin’ dimensionals..I love the height of them. Last but not least is the trimmer. I have gone through way too many others in search of a good one. 🙂
Love all 3, however, I will say, stamp-a-ma-jig is a challenge! Another addition to the list would be the fabulous embossing folders.
My thoughts are with you for the passing of your friend.
Big Shot, trimmer and my paper piercing tool. I think that tool is in my hand all the time. punches would be #4
I use aqua painters, glue dots and adhesive remover a lot. Many other wonderful tools to help us in our trade. Thanks for the chance to win your lovely cards. My prayers to you and your friends family.
I too love my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I remember when I was showing a friend how to use it she was baffled and could not get it. When she got home she tried several times and realized I was left handed and showing her how to do it left handed. She finally got it. We have laughed about that ever since.
I love my big shot, embossing folders, simply scored, punches.
The Big Shot and all the toys that are used with it. I can’t believe that I avoided Sizzix for so many years…until SU paired up with them wow!!
Trimmer, paper snips and all the punches I have! So sorry for the loss of your family friend! Praying for all.
I don’t think I could craft without my Big Shot. I use it more than my Crickett!
Sorry for your loss.
My Big Shot is my favorite and can’t do without it tool. Close second and third are my snips and bone folder.
Oh, my big shot and embossing folders and the Blendabilities! ~ What lovely cards and I would be ovet-joyed to win them! ~ my sympathy for your loss …
#1 on my list has to be the trimmer. Best one out there in my opinion. Following close behind would be my Big Shot and then the magnetic platform. Great invention!
The three things I love the most are sponge daubers! I just love putting color around edges to give it that extra pop. I also love my trimmer. I have used many, and have found this to be a wonderful tool – especially with the scoring roll attached! I love the paper piercing tool — it comes in handing for so many things — picking up small punches, embellishments, etc.
I love all Stampin’ Up tools. I have grown to use the punches along with my envelope punch board and Big Shot.
I think that anyone starting out in stamping should invest in a Big Shot. Sometimes just using a snazzy folder to create texture and design is better than using designer paper! Sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. I understand what it’s like. I lost my husband at age 33 with a daughter that was two and I was six months pregnant with the second daughter. We all survived and daughters are now 35 and 33, have college degrees, good jobs and are starting families of their own!
Punches by far make life so much easier; my scoring board — great for 3-D projects; and my trimmer.
Susan, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at the loss of your friend. May you find peace in happier memories of your friend. The one tool I reach for whenever paper crafting is my paper trimmer then my framelits/thinlets. They make cutting a breeze.
My list looks very similar to yours! I love my Big Shot and trimmer. The third on my list would have to be the owl punch. I think I use that one the most, but I wouldn’t give up any of them! Thanks for the fun questions and chance to win!
Happy New Year!
Prayers for God’s comfort and peace for your friends.
I just could not do without the trimmer, paper snips and the green glue, oh my where do I stop. My room full of Stampin Up stuff.
Joyful New Year to you and yours.
Big Shot, Trimmer and ink pads. I am sorry to hear about your friend’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with their family.
The tools I always seem to be using are the Big Shot, embossing folders and the envelope board.
Big shot for me, too! Embossing folders and dies go through it. I probably use it for most every card I make.
First and foremost, my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your dear friend. May God watch over her family and yours; I am so very sorry.
My NUMBER ONE go to item is double-stick tape! If I had to pick two more they would be dimensionals and my BIG SHOT!
May you have a blessed evening and again, so very sorry for your loss.
xoxo
Top Three: Paper trimmer, Memento Tuxedo Black ink. and Tombo glue. I couldn’t function without them!
Love the big shot. Interested in learning more about how to use the stamp-.a- ma- jig. Thank you
I agree with many of the previous posts, the Big Shot is a must have. It has so much versatility that it makes it such a great product. The other tool that I LOVE is the paper piercer. This can separate a card from just ok to gorgeous.
1. Big Shot 2. Stampin Trimmer 3. Punches with coordinating stamps. I really could go on and on……!
Hi Susan, Happy New Year! I wholeheartedly agree, I could not work without the Stampin trimmer or Mr. Big Shot. I haven’t gotten the hang of the stamp a majig but I can’t live without my trimming scissors for those tiny spaces that the Stampin trimmer just can’t reach!
So sorry for your loss. My Punches, Stampin Up Simply Score Board, and Stampin Up Trimmer.
Ofda, this is a hard one!! Well, the one item that I use frequently is my stamp-a-ma-jig……..I even use it with some poly stamps. Next is probably the big shot……I am using that tool more & more because of the many fabulous embossing folders SU has, which I will count as my third tool. There are more tools but those 3 are probably the main ones. Thanks for the inspiration on your blog every day & I am very sorry for the loss of your friend.
So sorry, Susan, about your family friend. So hard any time of the year.
My three fave products are my punches, green glue and without a doubt, dimensionals. Love your selection of cards for blog candy. So personal. Enjoy your evening.
🙂
I think that the 3 most important tools are the trimmer, big shot and all the things that the big shot uses. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Big Shot, scissors, scorer – I use them every day.
Trimmer, Big Shot, Stamp-a-ma-jig! Don’t mean to sound like a copy kat, but hey, I’m with you, Susan! : )
Three favorite tools, only 3!!! I agree with the trimmer and Big Shot as must haves. A nice assortment of punches comes third.
Love my big shot, dies, and folders!!
Embossing folders, Framelits and punches. Sorry for your loss.
The Big Shot and everything I use with it is my favorite tool! Does that count including everything?
Punches and Big Shot!
Sorry to read about your loss. That’s pretty rough, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
My paper trimmer is indispensable to my card making, and I love using the square punch to make flags.
Take care!
Susan, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I will say prayers for her and her family, as well as you, because you lost someone too. 🙁
As for the 3 tools I could not live without, the Stampin’ Trimmer is # 1 because it’s quick to cut and score at the same time. I have the score board, but to be honest, I hardly use it. When I set up for a class and have to cut card bases, it’s my trimmer that gets the job done pronto! I also love the big shot, magnetic platform and framelits and embossing folders. Oh heck! I might as well just say there are WAY TOO MANY favorites! Thanks for the chance to win!
It would definitely be my BIG SHOT! It is so versatile with the dies, framelits and embossing folders. Just so many things that you can do with it. I love it!
I would be sad to give up my Big Shot. Glue dots can be a lifesaver, and I love the extra pop that dimensionals give.
I agree with your “big 3” but would add embossing folders and punches. Sorry for such a rough start to the new year.
So sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers for you and the family.
Love the embossing folders, scorer and punches.
It is hard to pick just three tools. The first three that comes to mind are my scissors, bone folder, and paper trimmer. Sorry to hear your news. Thoughts and prayers are being lifted.
My favorite three: Big Shot, Simply Score tool, and paper trimmer…
I use this combo most of the time.
Punches. I think they are the stuff. I use them all the time.
I love the trimmer and all the die cuts
There is so many tools. I gave three yesterday but I can go on and on SU products are the best!!! Big shot, scoreboard and sticky strip
Sorry to hear about your friend I will keep her family in my prayers
I love all three of the tools mentioned plus I love the punches!!
I totally agree with the trimmer and big shot as 2 of the 3 most used/needed tools and my third choice is the paper snips. They have many functions besides cutting paper …(placing pearls, sequins, rhinestones and glue dots) to name a few.
I love my big shot, score board, dies. I am addicted to card making.
I love my big shot, embossing folder and dies
I would have to say Big Shot, Big Shot and Big Shot! Just kidding, but honestly its the first thing that I head for when I make a card. My bone folder is a necessary tool and can’t make a card without my trimmer.
Happy New Year Susan. Please don’t ever tire out because I love your blog and would really miss it if you quit. Stay healthy!
1. Embossing folders! How often I’ve finished a card and then realized that embossing would have made it look “just a cut above.”
2. Trimmer! Really, how can anyone function w/out one?
3. Big Shot! Ditto #2
I’d have to say the Big Shot with magnetic platform is at the top of my list, followed by punches and the envelope board.
Thoughts and prayers to you and the family who suffered the loss. You are so generous to worry about fulfilling your Blog Candy offer at a time like this.
I love all our tools but confess to an addiction for my Big Shot.
So sorry that you lost a dear friend and I I will think of her as healthy and healthy. My three favorite tools are my big shot, embossing folders, and card stock. Patpionkeathotmaildotcom
The Big Shot, Bone Folder and the embossing folders are my top three tools. So very sorry for your loss this morning.
Bone folder! I have to have good creases!!
Trimmer, big shot and punches!!!
I can not imagine stamping life without my Big Shot! I’ve had several other die cutting machines and believe me they could not/did not hold a candle to my Big Shot. And other the years, I have learned to really appreciate the Stamp-a- ma-jig. If you want a nice, clean card, this is a must. Also, I’ve had numerous paper trimmers and there is nothing like Stampin Up’s trimmer – absolutely nothing. And of course, I love the stamps, ink, embossing folder – the whole shebang!
Sorry for your loss.
My tool is the Big Shot, paper trimmer, and adhesive remover.
I could not be without my big shot or trimmer. Also embossing folders
Punches,embossing folders, big shot
So sorry to hear about your friend, Susan. I will say a prayer for her family. My three SU products I need are the trimmer, paper and the punches (and of course everything else that goes with them!).
Definitely the Big Shot (almost on everything I make), the Trimmer/scoring tool and my punches!
We would all be lost without our trimmer, so my list is: trimmer, big shot and the green glue.
Sorry about the loss of your friend; it is really tough when small children are left behind. I will add your friend to my prayer list.
Happy New year.
My paper snips, punches and Big Shot! Sorry for the loss of your friend.
Ummm, I didn’t see my comment on day 1. Whatever, I do remember about the red sticky tape as being a favorite of mine.
I do know one thing I could DO WITHOUT when making cards – TED! Boy, that boy is quick and just ripped up a whole pack of cardstock! I swear I am going to start saying that Ted wanted to sign the card woo and used his teeth instead of ink! He definitely has other ideas for my cards!
Susan, I am so sorry to hear about your family friend. Hugs and well wishes to you and your family as well as your family friend’s family. Happy New Year to all your readers and blog friends.
Love my Big Shot, Framelits & Embossing folders!
my must have STAMPIN UP TOOLS
1 Stampin up Trimmer
2 BIG SHOT
3 Stamps/Framelits Dies Bundles
Three favorite tools? Trimmer, Punches, and Green Glue!
Big shot, tag punches, I use all the time and the paper cutter (stampin trimmer)…
thanks so much for sharing all your ideas and inspiring me to create.
Can’t live without the Naturals white card stock, green glue and dimensionals.
Sorry to hear of your friend passing, also sad–especially sad when they have young ones.
3 tools-Big Shot, Scoring Tool and Envelope punch board.
I really love The coordinating paper, ink pads and markers (now Blendabilities, too) that Stampin’ Up sells. They make my paper crafting so much easier to coordinate!
i use my big shot daily!!!! best investment ever!
The three Stampin tools I could not live without would be:
The trimmer, the big shot and my favorite the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
Have a happy, happy, happy New Year:)
I am so sorry for your loss, I will keep her friends and family in my prayers! The three tools I can’t live without are my Big Shot, score board, and embossing tools, both folders and the heat tool/powders. I love your work and appreciate the opportunity to win some of your cards!
So sorry for your loss. I will say prayers for all. My favorite tools are Big Shot, punches & glitter 🙂
Oh how I do love your blog. You inspire me everyday. I have only been using Stampin up products now for about 7 months. In that short time I have become attached to the stamp scrub oh my fingers love being clean. I use the itty bitty flower punch every week, and while it isn’t a tool, I could not live without very vanilla cardstock! Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration.
My bad…I jumped the gun and mentioned my affinity for the Stamp-a-ma-jig in yesterday’s post! I, too, couldn’t get along without my trimmer. The Big Shot and magnetic platform are necessities that make die-cutting (ooo, can’t forget dies!) so much easier.
I love my tools! Couldn’t do without my trimmer, big shot, punches and green glue!
Trimmer! SU’s trimmer is amazing. I used to use a Martha Stewart trimmer because I just couldn’t justify buying ours until that one wore out….WELL I finally broke down and got ours and am I in Love, just could not live without it
I love my Stampin’ trimmer, Big Shot, and Stampin’Up punches.
The Big shot, trimmer and score board are my go to tools! Oh, plus my favorite Green Glue!!
The 3 tools I cannot live without are the Big Shot, punches and paper trimmer.
Big shot, stampin’ scrub, paper trimmer, punches–oops that’s 4 & I could go on!
Sorry for your loss-that’s never easy 🙁
I think my 3 tools would be my paper trimmer, ribbon scissors, and big shot! Love your blog, Susan! Thanks for sharing!
I love my stamp-a-ma-jig, thinlets, and embossing buddy. Will buy the big shot soon as my current machine dies. Or sooner if I can! Then that will join that list.
Stampamajig, Big Shot, Trimmer – hard to choose just one!
Big Shot, punches and folders are a must for me.
Always enjoy your blog.
So sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. I will keep her family in my prayers.
Big Shot and Framelits are my favorites!
Your friend’s family will be in my prayers as we have had a rough month with sadness also, and I know prayers help…….. My three favorite tools are definitely my Big Shot, my Paper Snips, and my punches.
I love reading your blog and seeing your beautiful creations. Thanks for a chance to win these gorgeous cards!!!
Embossing folders, punches & Framelits.
My 3 must haves are Big Shot, magnetic platform, and paper trimmer.
My heart breaks when I hear that young children have lost a parent…..prayers for you and your friend’s family. I, too, love the SU trimmer. Also, I consider your blog a ‘tool’ and rely on your inspiration daily.
Definitely the Big Shot and magnetic platform — I own two magnetic platforms! Sending sympathy for you and your friend’s family.
My snips and the green glue!
I could not live without my big shot, stampin’ trimmer and punches. Thank you for your wonderful inspiration, Susan!
I sent my condolences late yesterday, but didn’t see them posted. As for the tools The big shot is definitely #1 – and then all the tools that go with it – embossing folders, framelits, etc.
Sorry for your loss.
Regarding your question, the three tools I could not stamp without are the big shot, grid paper and the stamp-a-ma-jig.
Big Shot and dies are a must I use them on almost of my projects. Love your blog, I get a lot of great ideas from you.
I love my embossing folders, punches and bone folder:)
Those are definitely the top three, I am so glad I got a Stamp-a-ma-jig, now I can’t go without it! Don’t know what I would do without my snips too!
It took me a long time to finally buy the Big Shot since it is a “big” purchase, but once I did my stampin’ life changed! So now Mr. Big Shot is my number one main man!
big shot, dies/folders and my paper piercer…the pokey thing!! I us it to pierce, to poke out dies, to set glue dots, to align paper pieces and to stab a grape now and again…just kidding about the grape!!!
blessings
praying for the family to lean on the everlasting arms of Jesus
Happy New Year!! I too love my Big Shot. Also love ally punches and my envelope maker.
Basics for me is definitely the big shot and embossing folders and the trimmer though I still rely on the retired table cutter a lot!
Love my Big Shot, dies and folders. Best tool I think is my trimmer which is used every day for something, even household jobs.
Big shot! Absolutely my “can’t live without” tool. Thanks for all you do.
Would not consider paper crafting without the score board & bone folder!
Happy New Year!
So sad for the loss!
So sorry for your loss. No way to start the new year.
I must have handy my trimmer, my scored scoring tool, and the pierce mat that makes the photopolymer stamps work every single time!
Happy New Year!
Love love love my Big Shot,
Three tools, hmmm.Such a hard question. Big Shot, for sure, it’s just so versatile. Love my Stampin’ Up paper cutter. When my larger paper cutter won’t do the delicate work, this one works like a charm. Oddly enough, I love the Stampin’Up grid paper. I use it all the time for classes and in my craft room for measuring and making sure my lines are straight.
Sorry for your loss and will keep this family in my prays
As to my favorite tools, my Big Shot , all my punches , paper trimmer, score tool and tape runner. I love everything stamping up
Thank you for the chance to win some blog candy
Happy New Year
Big Shot, envelop framelit liners, and snips. Love a lot more tools but I seem to always use these on every project.
I cannot live without my punches, dies, and embossing folders. I use them all almost daily. Stampin Up has the best tools and products. I’m sure I have way too many of them, but that doesn’t stop me from getting and wanting more!
1. Stampin’ Trimmer
2. Piercing tool
3. Sticky Strip
#1…The Big Shot, the “must have tool for everything papercrafting”! Love the SU Trimmer/Scorer….the all in one tool of choice for me! Last, but certainly not least, love the the framelits/embossing folders…..SU tools make papercrafting “Easy Peasy”! Thanks for sharing each and everyday….Happy 2015!
My Vagabond-LOVE it! The magnetic platform. My Cutter Bee non-stick scissors. Of course this assumes that I don’t have to mention all my stamps, dies and embossing folders!!!!
I need: trimmer, embossing folders (so Big Shot or Cuttlebug), dimensionals and ribbon!
Stampin scrub, big shot, punches are a huge part of my stamping world! Don’t know how we lived w/o the Big Shot! Your blog is one I look forward to daily and wouldn’t want to do w/o!
Can’t live without my Big Shot and my Paper Trimmer for sure but neither can I live without Glue Dots, Stampin Dimensionals and my dies and punches.
Thank you for this fabulous Blog Candy.
Only 3 things! my O my. trimmer, Big Shot & green glue.
My Big Shot is used almost every day.
I thought I entered but I don’t see my response. I love the Big Shot! I would love a tutorial on how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Do you have one?
Thank you:)
My 3 favorites:
1- Big Shot for embossing & die cutting.
2- Glue Dots hold ribbon on the best!
3- Stampin Dimensionals add that little extra touch to the cards.
The big shot most often helps create “the star of the show” on my cards. Folders, dies, framelits all need the big shot, but I have to say I love my punches!
Big shot and the wonderful dies! I wish I knew more about using the Stamp-a-ma-jig! Have you ever done a lesson on it?
Big shot and all the wonderful dies!! I wish I knew more about how to use the Stamp-a-name-jig! Have you done a blog on it??
The Big Shot, framelits/thinlits and the fabulous punches are my top 3 tools. Thank-you for the chance to win your wonderful cards! May God give you his peace with the passing of your good friend…
My three must haves are the Big Shot, trimmer and scoring board. I use them on almost every card or project I do.
big shot, folders, dies…. I could go on and on lol. thanks for a chance to win!!
Absolutely the big shot is number one, then the manetic platform and the third would be the envelope punch board!
Susan, your list is perfect! I’d have to add embossing folders in there as well. I like to go the texture route more often than dsp pattern route on my cards.
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. Prayers lifted for this family.
