I am o.k. with accepting that Leadership is not in the cards for me this year! True I am crushed as I was so hoping to get a hug from Mickey Mouse….seeing my PAL friends….my cyber friends and meet new friends and be a sponge taking everything in!
I am doing better and better each and everyday but the doctor thinks that flying is not the best thing…and it is simply too soon. We all know that I would be going full steam ahead with my "Wheely Knee Thing" and I figured I could use the basket on the front for card swaps!
It's all good as we will have fun together this week and I have some BLOG CANDY for you later this week! Heck, I figured if I could not go to Leadership….let's have FUN and have some great Blog Chats! Please pop back as I have put my thinking cap on for some fun days together!
Here are more beauties sent to me – I hope that you all are enjoying these beauties – I just love to see everyones work (another reason I love to go to Leadership – the display boards are AMAZING, but know that I have a dear friend that will be "clicking away" for me!
This card screams…..too darn cute! I just adore all of the elements of this fun and simple card and just think how you can change out sentiments to make it work from many occasions!
This is created by a fellow PAL that is the "sweetest" – we had the pleasure of being together in Arizona at a retreat that Mary had and Mary Lou is one special lady….just love her! (she truly has the most beautiful smile)
O.k. folks…this is the most AMAZING stamp set out there and remember it is a FREEBIE with Sale-a-bration and there are soooo any amazing cards out there using it….just like this beauty! I have yet to get it "inky" but this is a new week and I am going to give it a spin!
These colors are sooooo rich and yummy – the hint of shimmer makes it super special. Annette also stamped the flower on the inside of the card with her super sweet sentiment to me….thanks! (loved your message)
Here we go again….is this the best or what! I am just amazed at how versatile this stamp set is and in these colors….it looks totally different!
Another thing that I ADORE about Julie's card is her paper piercing…darn, I forget about that – it add such a great effect and it is so easy….just something I forget! Thanks for this super seet card!
I still have more cards to share but tomorrow I am going to share with you the "swap" card that I made for the PALS "Sip and Swap" this week at Leadership! The theme was "Birthday" and I think that I made a "Susan style card" that will be well received!
The BEST thing about swaps is….you give and you get! I just LOVE that motto…the PALS were so kind to let me still participate…..and the BEST thing is….I will be able to share with you what I receive back!
I'm pooped….let's have a great week and please continue to POP back to my blog as we will be making my pity party into a BLOG CANDY PARTY!
Until tomorrow….

So sorry you can’t go to ‘leadership’ this year, but so glad you are recovering and back to blogging.
I missed my nightly “Susan” fix. I check your blog every evening before bed. I love your clean, simple uncluttered cards.
I also really enjoy your blogging on sundry subjects, including your dogs and pig. My daughter would LOVE a pet pig.
Onwards and upwards and count your blessings.. If you broke your wrist you would not be able blog or make cards. Blessings… Marthea
Susan, I totally understand. I broke my left foot, twice, one year apart in the same month for 2 years in a row. I had to miss a big conference as well. But at least it wasn’t my driving foot and the “knee scooter” I got was great. It had a little basket and folded up into my car. Tough thing was the crutches and negotiating the shower. Just hang in there. It is winter and lately it is much nicer inside the house then out. Stamping Hugs.
Oh, that makes me sad, too, that you can’t go to leadership. I know you are disappointed, but you seem to have a good attitude anyway! And that is great that your swap card will be going and earning you swaps in return!
I look forward to seeing what you have planned for your blog this week! Some days I don’t know whether to read your blog first of the ones I follow, or save the best for last. I do some of each!
Take care! “Chin up!”
Big Cyberhugs!
Oh Suaan, I know you are going to miss seeing everybody and they will surely miss you! It is fantastic that you still get to participate on the swap!! Woo Hoo !!
I am unclear if I owe you money or what for the upcoming SOM Club so please let me know.
I love the cards you are sharing!!
Hugs – Louisa
So very sorry you are missing leadership. Focus on getting well. I am sure these words do not help as.much as all of us would hope they are but hang in there!
Aw Susan …so sorry . Being an RN I did not relish the idea of you trekking off to far away places with your “Pitifulness” . What you do during this mending time will keep you from future problems with your ankle . I know your Pals will keep you posted . I LOVE DISNEY too ! I would be pouting big time !
The pouting is understandable…I’m feeling it for you too! It’s good that your friends will bring back cards and ideas for you, and there will be a next time when you feel more up to it. Bless you! The animals will be happy you’re still home.

So sorry that you won’t be able to go. Healing is more important right now. At least you can enjoy it through your Pals. Keep on stamping.
Dear Susan,I am so sorry you can not go to Leadership conference .I know you were looking forward to going. You have a right to have a good pity party. I would be pouting if it was me. I know you do not want to hear this, but please take care of yourself and get well . Healing that ankle is very important. I know the pals will bring home great swap cards for you. I bet Mary will make sure you have great pictures of a lot of projects for you. I am glad you are back blogging. I miss my Susan, daily visits. Keep your chin up. Cyber hugs to you my friend, Happy Stamping. God Bless You, Ellen Hinds
Meeting you in person was on my “bucket list” for leadership. But, healing HAS to be your #1 priority right now. The good news is I will look forward to meeting you in person at convention. Your positive attitude is so contagious, y
ou start my day off with a smile. It’s amazing how I feel like I have met you in person after reading your blogs. Looks like your neck of the woods might be getting some winter weather. Stay warm, stay rested, keep smiling. Your friends are all praying for a swift and complete recovery!
So sorry you won’t be able to go to Leadership. Convention is just around the corner! Taking care of yourself is most important, but I know it’s a bummer… So glad you’re back online. Thanks for the “shout out” yesterday. It has resulted in some new contacts. Yay! 🙂 I’m very grateful!
Sorry you will miss Leadership. Feel better and keep mending.
Oh Susan, pouting is totally acceptable in this situation, so sorry you will miss this trip, I know how much you would have enjoy it.
Just take it easy so you can be back on both your feet very soon.
Lots of healing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~for you.
Maria.
I am sad you will not be at Leadership…but you DO have priorities!! Get that ankle healed!
So sorry you can’t make it to Leadership, but the doctors know best, darn it! Eat chocolate or your favorite food and get a loving from Rosie!
WE will just have to have a fun time all on our own since some of us aren’t going to Leadership either! Hey isn’t the measles problem at Disney World or is it Disney Land? Just let those others cringe about that!
Boy all your cards are so pretty and colorful! I was thinking I hadn’t seen very many koala cards out their lately so this was fun to see! I had seen on the news recently that people were making covers for their little paws that were burnt in the forest fires. That made me think maybe SU should donate a portion of the koala stamp proceeds to help the little guys out. There has to be someone else besides me who hasn’t purchases this stamp!
Besides you can’t go – the kids would miss you and protecting you!
Awwww….I’m so sorry you can’t go to Leadership this year. But for those of us who also can’t go, we are happy to have you here, with us. I hope you feel better fast…and although you’re getting around with your little wheelie thing, please be careful and take it easy. Hugs to you and well wishes! 🙂
Oh, Susan, I am so sorry you won’t be able to go to Leadership! I know you were so looking forward to it! It sounds as if you will have a good team getting all the info and pictures for you though! Knowing that wouldn’t stop me from pouting either though. Sometimes we just have to listen to the doctors though and do what they say. Unfortunately this is one of those times!
We will be glad to keep you company here and I am sure we can have lots of fun! The cards you have been sharing are just wonderful! I love the Koala one today! And yes, that Lotus blossom set is one of the prettiest stamps – ever! Can’t wait to get it. I just have to get my order finalized- waiting on one friend to get hers to me.
I’ll be looking in to see if your taking it easy!
