It's weekend time…and it' another crazy winter weather time for us today….snow, ice…yuck and tomorrow it is to be in the 40's – crazy weather!
Last Saturday I had so much fun sharing a simple and clean card to you and then on Sunday I "Stepped it up a bit" so I thought I would do that again.
Card-making is all about finding a style that works for you and then simply going with it! You know that I am a clean, simple and I feel practical stamper but even when I "step it up" – I am still keeping to the "style" that works for me!
Today I am focusing on another great single stamp, Love is Kindness. Tulips are my "hands down" favorite flowers and I was so happy that Stampin' Up! offered this stamp!
You can see that there is a sentiment. I honestly did not think that I would use that sentiment a bunch so instead of having to "mask" it off each time, I decided to "cut" it off before I mounted it to the wood block. (I still have the sentiment and can always use it if I would like…just a simple surgery in the stamp room)
The sentiment I chose today is from a hostess stamp set that I just adore and I will say that I have used this hostess stamp more than any other one that Stampin' Up! has offered, Time to Celebrate. (love this sentiment and font.
The blendabilities were my friends, (again)…and this made it another quick and easy card. Tomorrow I hope that you op back as I am going to step it up a bit and you can see which one you like better!
Choices are great, choices are fun, choices keep things interesting.
Even though this was a super simple card…it is a card that I would be proud to send and I would be happy to receive! Less is best and this little note card carries a big punch filled with beauty!
This also would make a quick an sweet Easter Card and simply put an Easter sentiment on the card! Isn't creating fun…it truly allows your personality to shine!
Thanks for sharing a bit of your Saturday with me! Below you will see the products that I used for this fun card and I hope that you will pop back tomorrow to see the stepped up one!
Enjoy the day…..

What a breath of fresh air to see sweet yellow TULIPS on a day when we are experiencing single-digit temps and have snow on the way. VERY sweet and crisp card – LOVE it!
Hello there Susan, very nice bright card, brought a smile to my face.
🙂
Love the card! Super sweet.
Love the simplicity of this card and the warmth it brings of Spring! Your idea is great about removing the sentiment instead of masking it and I love the tulips on the side….more realistic.
I love your idea of laying the tulips on their sides, just like they would look if you brought them in from cutting them out of the garden. Can you remind me of the best way to add the DSP to the flap of the envelope? Do you trace around the shape or glue a piece to the flap and then trim? TFS.
A very fresh reminder that Spring is on its way. With so many people still experiencing winter, it’s nice to have a little reminder that things will be getting better.
Oh double darn, first Deb H used my breath of spring part and then I did a long comment and it wouldn’t post!
Love the card – so realistic and sweet. That envelope is the greatest and will make the postal people smile! I will have to send you a Tulip Time brochure and include how many gazillion bulbs that are planted here.
An idea, steps to coloring these tulips with the Blendabilities. I know I an always use a refresher on shading with them.
Susan, I love your card. I also took the scissors to my stamp and cut the words off. I still have them. You have so many great inspirations to all of us. I can not wait to see what you do to step this up. It is so pretty right now. Have a great day, Ellen Hinds
Hi Susan, I love tulips as well and I love this stamp(I too cut off the sentiment). This card is like a breath of spring, and when I look out my window I really could use spring. I live about eight miles west of Boston, MA and we have A LOT of snow – there is really no more room to put any more so I would really like it to not snow anymore(thats my wishful thinking).Anyway thanks for the bit of spring in your card.
