I love that phrase and I am sure that we all know of someone that just brings "sunshine" into our lives. This little sweet card will be waiting on Branigan's desk when she gets to work tomorrow!
Branigan is working for John during tax season and is from Florida and just cannot get used to this cold weather! She is a wonderful young gal that also house/critter sits for us and she will text me saying…."I do not get it – is this normal?….if so why do people live here?
Her fiancée works at Camp David (yes, we do live near there) and they are only here for 2 years and this weather has been getting to her so I thought a cheery card and some homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies might do the trick!
I sure have been doing lots of simple cards and this is one that takes minutes. It is from the stamp set. Crazy about You and I think that we all know that this is an amazing stamp set as there are endless sentiments!
Having the Flower Medallion Punch makes this a snap to punch but I thought I needed to add a bit more so I stamped it several times in both Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo and did a quick fussy cut! (It really is not that bad at all to cut out)
Here is the quick scoop….the card is a note-card size and the next layer is 1/4 smaller – 4 3/4" X 3 1/4". I stamped of to the side the light pick flower and then also did another one up top! ( I think doing it this way allows your eye to go all over) and the let the "focal" flower be center stage!
The envelope received its love with the stamping on the front as well as this super fun and bright DSP from the Sweet Taffy Collection! LOVE the bright and bold colors!
Did you notice that I had 3 different shades of pink and they all blend together great! The inks, pink pirouette and melon mambo but then I used a wee bit of strawberry slush twine on the button. Please do not be afraid to mix colors, in the end they all blend together great!
I think that this Crazy about You set is an amazing one. Today is the 1st day that I have used it without the fun thinlit dies (this is on page 31 in the Occasions Catalog) and if you click here you will see a post that I did not only using this great bundle but also giving you a great opportunity to get this card!
If you purchase this bundle from me, I will not only send you this super cute card so you can see the "low down" on how to make it….(I started making them yesterday and they will be sent out later this week along with February Note.)
The best thing is….this bundle will get you very close to earning a FREEBIE from sale-a-bration if you get it in the Photopolymer but for you die hards that love the clear mount…this comes in that as well as wood! WOWZERS – 3 different ways – Stampin' Up! is the best.
I realize that some of you might want to wait to order on March 1st because of the new fabulous 4 offerings of Sale-a-bration….and no worries – I will still honor my offer to you!
Think SUNSHINE as Spring has just have to be around the corner. I know my little Florida friend will be smiling when she sees this bit of sunshine!
Stampin' hugs….until tomorrow!
This card is BEAUTIFUL! I adore the colors and the button in the middle is the icing on the cake. Branigan will be THRILLED and no doubt it will warm her heart if not the cold weather. Great job and thanks for sharing!
Hi Susan, I was really expecting yellow with that title. What a pretty surprise with pinks. I did not notice the three different colors at first, but i always go back and look again. Have a great day.

Beautiful card, and you are so sweet to think of her. As someone who has lived in Philadelphia and Northern Virginia, and now Florida, I can’t imaging having to live in the cold again. Your thoughtfulness will surely brighten her day!

I thought it was going to be yellow or gold too! Right now we are having the snow and blustery wind! Not fun. So, this was a very welcome card! I love the flowers and that envelope is so cute! Fun! Mike knows where Camp David is so who knows we might get there yet as the year is young! Wow, besides this cutie chocolate chip cookies too?
