Good old Thursday…that means that it is time for a challenge! Today is a color challenge and the minute I saw what it was….ding-ding – the light-bulb went off! I am not Irish but I sure do have friends that love to celebrate this holiday (but boy and….yum – I love Corn Beef and Cabbage)
How about playing…you have nothing to lose want the best thing that you will gain is the fun you will have making a work of art and then seeing it on the Pals Paper Art Website. Please pop over and see what the other super talented design artist came up with!
Here is the palette that we are working with today!
Now you all know that I very, very rarely do anything with MDS as being the computer challenged person I am…I get scared when I go and play with MDS (which is stilly as I cannot hurt the program) but I knew that I wanted to do something for St. Paddy's Day and BAM….there is a great download!
If you have not tried MDS…I say – GO FOR IT -give it a try. You can download a 30 day trial for free and play around and then if you want to purchase any extras – they are super inexpensive. This download is called "Go Green" and it was .95!!! That's right – not even a dollar!
Many do not realize that there is a separate website, My Digital Studio and I suggest you go there and do some surfing around! You will be amazed at how many of your favorite stamp sets are in MDS.
I am determined to do a digital album. I have a super talented downline that does amazing books for her grandchildren, just priceless. This is just a fun place to surf around and PLAY!
Today I decided to do another shaker card. I have blogged these before and I do hope that you try to make one. A great tip I can give to you is that I adhere a couple of the "shake pieces" to the card, therefore when you pieces are down you still see an interesting backdrop!
The gold foil sheets were perfect for this challenge, I used the 3/4" circle punch to adhere over top of the "dots" in the embossing folder – just one plain FUN card! How do you like my shamrock? I just did a quick surgery on a punch from the pansy punch and then the bakers twine pulled it all together!
I hope that you have enjoyed these pictures, I hope that I have inspired you to try a shaker card, I hope that I inspired you to go to the My Digital Studio and check it out! I think that you will be amazed at how many downloads there are.
I have made cards from MDS and had them printed from Stampin' Up! and they were amazing. I just need to go into the trenches and use it for my endless amount of photos! (Does this sound familiar to you?)
We are all in this together…please email me if I can help you and remember, the scrolling goodies that I have used in this card is right below….click and have fun shopping!
Stampin' hugs! Until tomorrow…..

Very cute card! The gold dots on the embossed dots are a great accent! Shaker cards are fun! I need to try one!!!
I hope you are getting around a little easier and that your ankle is getting stronger now that you can use it a little!
Cyberhugs!
I love your layout. Your idea to use the little flower as clovers is very clever. Pretty card.
This is really cute and creative ! I am like Bridget …I should get brave and try a Shaker card . love the idea of gluing some down along with the loose ones . You are so smart!!
Clever girl! Your tips and tricks are “golden!” Great card!
Love the card! I wondered how you stamped the Go Green now I know! Have a great day Susan!
Shaker cards are so much fun! Awesome card!
I love that MDS sentiment, too. You are so brave to venture there! Love this sweet shamrock card!
What a great card! Very clever manipulation of non-Irish items into perfect icons! Congrats on earning the trip, too. Well-deserved.
The shaker and touches of gold are fabulous! I have that image in a stamp and won’t part with it…..love it!
Love it, Susan! So smart to go to MDS for a good sentiment!!
So you are shaking things up a bit (by doing the MDS thing)! Sorry, I had to stick that in. My problem with the MDS besides never trying it – I don’t have a color printer. I love all the gold touches and the little hearts are so cute in there. Great job! I have been thinking of what I can make for the St. Patty’s Day birthday combo cards I seem to need. Oh and that background embossing is pretty cool itself! Thanks for some ideas!
Great card, Susan! Love your hint with the shaker card to adhere some of the bits. One of these days, I will actually make a shaker card. Off to pin because you cannot have too many St. Patrick’s day cards when your step-daughter’s birthday is on St. Patrick’s. Thanks for sharing…. 🙂
Stunning shaker card!
Susan, I love, love, love shaker cards, they are so much fun to make and to receive. I like your idea of gluing some of the elements inside the sacker window, that really helps keep the loose ones “shaking” real good.
Thank you for sharing.
Fun card, Susan! Love those little shamrock-looking flower punches!!
Clever way to make the shamrocks. This card rocks… it shamROCKS!
