Woot-woot – it is the weekend! Today is the 1st day of the 2 day posting that I do on the weekends – today is a simple card….and tomorrow is the same card but I have just stepped it up a bit. What does that mean? – well, it could be some simple embellishments, extra attention to detail…but at the end of the day it is a clean and simple card!
This stamp set is one that I breezed right by in the catalog as I have no idea that the sentiments were as large as they are and when I realized that…..the EASY BUTTON was pushed and it came to little old Williamsport in the Brown Truck! It is appropriately called Adventure Awaits.
The main reason why I love these larger images is that THEY stand out themselves therefore the rest for us to do is very minimal. When I looked at these sentiments I thought that these would make great inspiration cards – sometimes it is hard to say the right words in "touchy situations" and to me – these sentiments are soooo encouraging and inspiring!
I forget about using framelits…do you? When I looked at the shape of the sentiment I thought – there has to be a framelit that would make this sentiment shine….yep – it's the Labels Framelits!
Once question I get asked quite often is….I purchase the paper stacks but I find that I always have a lot of paper left over after I used my favorites out of the stack. I HEAR YOU AND I FEEL THE SAME WAY….this card is a great way to use up the stacks!
Less is best….the dashes and dots around the Labels framelit add the bit of focal interest needed. Please , please do not stress about doing dashes – just go for it….darn – I can remember the days that I would use a ruler to make them exactly the same distance…times I used a pencil to make sure it is just right…..NO, NO, NO….it take too much time.Let your own hand be the guide!
Giving the envelope some love with the Envelope Liners Framelits Die was all that was needed! Giving your envelopes some love ALWAYS make a difference….once you are in the habit…you will always do it!
Please pop back tomorrow to see how I "jazzed it up" (just a bit) – you cannot go wrong with either card…the important part is that YOU made a card….that YOU had fun….and the YOU made someones day!
Please feel free to email me and below you will see the goodies that created this card for you today for you to shop away!!!
There are no words that can express the great appreciation I have to all of you that took your precious time to leave a comment on yesterday's SHEEP ROCK post…I laugh every time I see them (Thank you Mary Ann). Here is a funny….yesterday John had a breakfast meeting at the place I used to work and I gave him "Miss Pearl" to give to a special person I worked with…..
While John was eating his meal the person across from him said, "what is in your shirt pocket" (John was afraid he would forget to take it to Regina if he left it in his coat)...John quickly said, that is "Miss Pearl" – my wife made it and she would kill me if I forget to give it to her friend….well – Miss Pearl was able to breath and sit on the table proudly while the speaker talked (John is the BEST)
Have a fabulous day…make some memories and I hope that you pop back tomorrow!

I had been trying to figure out how big those sentiments would be, based on the one that was pictured full-sized. Thanks for sharing! That is a bright and cheerful card! It would be a great sentiment for new team members (yes, I really do have “joining” on the brain).
Thanks for sharing the funny about “Miss Pearl” and John!
Hope to catch you on Tues.!
Have a good weekend!
Cyberhugs!
I love this stamp set! I must have overlooked it in the catalog. I tend to buy alott of plsnt themed sets. The Miss Pearl story is so sweet. John is such a good husband! Yout projects really matter to him.
I went for this set right away. I thought they would make great graduation cards. But I also use the one about the calm sea for anyone who is going through a tough time due to illness, loss, etc. It is an inspiring message. Beautiful card Susan.
Great card this morning, Susan! I skipped over this set … now I may have to revisit it! 😉 Your encouraging words regarding the “dots and dashes” reminded me about when I started doing that many years ago and I also used the ruler! I need to start adding them, again!
Thank you, Susan! Looking forward to your card tomorrow!
O.K., I’ll re-visit it also. The colors are very nice. Mary Fish used this set today too. It truly had a different look. Very versatile!
🙂
I like this set ….there are some great sayings . In regard to the Dots and Dashes ….made me wonder why SU did not do a Paper Piercing template for the Decorative Label Punch ? They have them for so many of their items !
This card is a winner ! And so is Mr. Itell !! Gotta love him !!
I, too, overlooked this set and now see how great the sayings are. Love your card and the color! Ahh, “The Adventures of Miss Pearl”…..this could be the start of a new children’s book! Enjoy!
Oh Susan, yesterday I didn’t have a chance to leave you a comment on those beyond adorable little sheep, oh my goodness, when I finally was able to see them, I just couldn’t stop smiling, they are so super cute.
Now, about this pretty card…..I like the graphic look of it, the diagonal DSP really gives this bold and big sentiment a great backdrop.
Thank you for sharing.
Love these colors together. So clean and fresh. Excited for your stepped up version tomorrow!
Hi, Sonny. Just wanted to let you know there is a paper piercing set for the Decorative Label Punch. It is in the “Essentials” pack #126187, pg.218. Hope this helps.
