Hello to all and WOW – here is some super fun cards and there are (2) people that will be doing the happy dance as they will get to have a $25.00 shopping spree from me!
Before we go any further I wanted to share with you all the top "trumpers" that you all had on the list! Here are the top 3 that you all had over and over again but clearly the TOP one that you all guessed was Everything Eleanor….(poor Eleanor….I must make some cards using her as there are many of you that think she needs to go!!!)
- Sassy Salutations
- Everything Eleanor
- Water Color Thank You
The winner for the 10 was Kathy (sorry, I do not know her last name or what state she is from but here is her list) WOOT-WOOT and please email me!!! Congrats!
Now to the number being retired (heck – Kathy almost won that to as she guessed 115). The number retired was 113 and THE WINNER WAS….Meredith guessing…..112 stamps!
Here comes another WOOT-WOOT and please email me and I am happy to take you shopping!

Not to the cards of beauty that were made for the challenge on Monday! The 1st one was the winner and please know that you all are winners but I randomly pick one card and this week Mary Ann H won and I will be sending her a white gel pen!
Please remember that these fun little challenges that I do are a way for you to try something new, have time for yourself in creating and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
Super card Mary Ann – I love the colors and the amount of neutral space ! The colors are great ad WOW, what can I say about those dashes and dots! WOOT-WOOT!
Bridget lives in France and is hoping to be back in the states soon. We get to skype each other and it is a true testament on how this "Stampin' Up! Thing" has given me the opportunity to have cyber friends from all over! I love how she was not afraid to use a variety of DSP – super job and the ribbon pulled it all together!
Here is a FUN card! Another one that shows that using DSP is ok! I know that we are afraid to use it in the body of our cards many times, but this is a great example with lots of dimension and her coloring….is just great! Fun card Roberta!
Sometimes it is hard for me to edit your cards that you send and I apologize that I was not able to make this card bigger to see all of the detail (when I tried, it became blurry) Chris, I AM SOOOOO PROUD OF YOU! This is the 1st time that Chris has submitted a card and this is so fun! LOVE the technique, (I need to do this again, it's been a while) Fun way to use up paper and I love how she used the ribbon to break up the "star burst" effect from the sentiment!
Nancy is a stamper after my own heart! Wen she sits down to make a card….she makes 3! These are wonderful and I hope that they inspire everyone to make up a bunch of them to keep on hand! Clean, classic and fun! Love this card….
Now who does not like cupcakes? This fun and cheery card is filled with dimension (love the stars embossing folder) Isn't it clever how Ellen "split" the white scallop oval to make the sentiment POP! Coloring an image like this is fun as it goes very quick but the little pop of red makes the card smile!
This card is another great example of a super card to make many of and keep on hand, "just in case"! Cutting out stars is a great way to use up scraps and then the way that Teresa stamped the Happy Birthday was brilliant making it in the banner shape! (Look at this ADORABLE envelope – LOVE IT)
The next 3 cards are from the 3 Amigos (This is what I call them) and they are 3 friends/sisters that love to stamp and always share there work with me and I adore their love for paper crafting and also their friedship that they have!
Sharon's card is FUN to the max – I instantly smiled when I saw the polka dots! Isn't it amazing how you can use fun paper/washi tape and a simple sentiment to make a statement? Sharon did just that!!!
Karen's card is adorable! The houndstooth DSP is perfect to make this "tie" – very, very clever and the sentiment POPS! How about that envelope! I am soooo happy that you all jazz up your envelopes!
The last amigo….Robyn. She made this card fro her sons Birthday and I know that he is going to cherish it, especially since it was made by MOM! Love how she used the lines in the DSO and then a circle to POP the sentiment – I call this a "keeper" layout to use over and over again!
I am so proud of so many of you with using DSP as a major focal point to your card! Rosanne shows up how keeping it super simple is super effective! This card is a great example of "less is best" – super colors for a masculine card!
Well…there you go! I hope that you all had fun looking at other peoples work! I try my best to edit your pictures but sometimes it is hard….please know that I appreciate you trying a challenge!
I hope to see you tomorrow as you know what the weekend is….Show & Tell Saturday and Step It Up Sunday and I think that you are going to see what's up!
Remember, the retired goodies (CLICK HERE FOR THE STAMPS and CLICK HERE FOR THE ACCESSORIES) are going…going….going….so do not wait! The clearance rack has some new goodies as well, I know that yesterday it was hit hard but I would still take a peak!
It is super chilly here on the East Coast but it is beautiful!!! Enjoy your day…..

First, Congrats to the winners! Meredith…you rocked the guessing of the number of retiring stamp sets! I loved seeing the parade of cards. I was going to submit a masculine card I made for my husband for our anniversary today, but reread the post and realized it was supposed to be a bday card. Made me laugh. I love your challenges, Susan. Have a wonderful weekend. I will be finishing up an email to you and sending it off to you today or tomorrow. I’m looking forward to your cards this weekend!
Thanks for your comment, I always love hearing from you! Hows my little buddy Caleb?!?! I have some new “Eddie” pictures for him!
p.s. – Happy Anniversary!
Happy Friday and Congrats to all the winners! Great job on the cards 🙂 Susan, maybe a stamp of the month kit that is versatile but maybe focuses on “masculine” cards??
Great cards, everyone!
I don’t know why, Susan, but by 9am Eastern Daylight Time, your blog email still had not shown up in my email. I came over to it directly.
I hope to get to chat again soon!
Cyberhugs!
GREAT idea!I know that there just has to be a FABULOUS new stamp set in the new catalog that would do the trick!
Hmmmmmm….I do not know what happened!!! I will do a “push page” – let me know if it comes through! Way to go – your card is great!
Great line-up of cards. Love these challenges, as they really display so much creativity. When I see them, I always think “why didn’t I think of that or use that set”. As for Eleanor, she is a KEEPER in my book and I am glad she made the cut…this year. Have a great weekend.
Yes, just like Bridget, there was no “Simple Stampin” email this morning and Id say that had to be shortly after 8 when I looked at email. . I’ve noticed it happen a few times. But if I go to the page, Susan’s new post is there. Then later in the morning I’ll notice the email. If I don’t see an email, I still check the page. In fact, most of the time, I don’t even use the link in the email.
Caleb is great, thanks for asking! He had another spelling test today so he left for school less than enthused, but I’m sure he did well. We were wondering what kind of dog Leo is. Caleb said he thinks he is half Doberman and half Jack Russell. 🙂 The Eddie pictures will be a hit. Thanks for the anniversary wishes!
Congrats to the winners. I was going to say 117 but thought that was way too many. Love the parade of cards – I personally will be CASEing away! So many great ideas even if I just one element from a card that is a big bonus in my book. Sorry the scanning didn’t do the texture justice on my card – the recipient thought the textures mimicked the sports theme to the Iowa Hawks.
Oh, your blog came later too but that’s o.k. it gave me something to look forward to! Thanks for sharing all the great cards.
Loved, loved, loved the cards. Susan you are a great teacher and inspiration. All the cards are keepers and I can’t wait to CASE them. I’m off to Connecticut for a wedding/weekend. I’ll try to send you a pic of the card and dressed up envelope I made. Simple but classic . . . I hope.
🙂
Dear Susan, Thank you for posting my card. The challenge was so much fun. The cards from everybody are all so talented. I* love each and every one. It is so good to see different ways to use paper . Happy Stamping. everybody. Congratulations on your winners. I can not believe they retired so much this year.
Have a great day > Ellen Hinds
Thanks for all the effort this week! With the retiring contest, the parade of cards, and SU’s problems on Tuesday I’d say it has been quite a week! You handled it with true “Susan” style and grace. You are amazing!
Wow, every card is amazing! There is so much talent out there
Woo Hoo! congrats to the winners! I was no way close with my prediction of retiring stamps. Love the parade of cards…sooo many beauties!
Wow…what great cards! It’s nice to have a broad collection of masculine ideas to choose from! I, too, was way off with my retired number. Getting excited to see the new catalog!
It did come through a little while later, but it wouldn’t go to the blog page. That has happened before. I can go to your page directly, but the link-y thingy won’t work.
