I must admit…it truly does not take much to make us happy….does it? When we hear those 2 words of FREE SHIPPING we get all giddy and our heads start to spin with excitement!
As I blogged about yesterday, Stampin' Up! announced that next week will be a week of FREE SHIPPING….when I told John (now you have to realize that he is knee deep into tax season) – he just looked at me and said…"I guess this is a good think – yippee!" (being very sarcastic)

It is the simple things that make us happy…true we know that it does save us money but it really feels like a special gift and we are all thankful and appreciative.
There are a couple of things that I want to point out to you (as I think I know you well enough)
1. Free Shipping (next week) – a great way to stock up on the basics that you use all of the time
2. On April 21st, Stampin' Up! will unveil the retiring list and you know what that means….(You'll want to snag up some of the great bargains)
3. The new catalog will be coming coming out super soon, (I will be able to pre-order goodies MAY 1st) and you know that I will be showing you new products to get you excited to purchase them when you can June 1st!
So the moral of this story is…you will most likely be making many purchases so I say BE SMART and PACE YOURSELF.
Please pop back tomorrow and I will share with you the best list of basics and must haves that will make you a happy stamper. To me, the basics are the foundation to be a happy and effective stamper!
My computer is acting up but I wanted to share with you some incredible pictures of one of our dogs, Norman…he is the best – I know he does not get much Blog time. Hannah and I rescued him from Gulf Port, MS when we were at a horse show.
It has been 2 years since he has been with us and it has literally taken him 2 years to feel comfortable and not scared. On Wednesday he came into our bedroom…put his adorable paws up on me and I was speechless as he never had the courage to do this…I could not resist for a great photo opportunity – he is simply the best!
When I walked back to our room after getting coffee and he was laying on my pillow, I truly thought someone was in my bed…I just had to put the covers up over him as he was so content.
We all want to feel special, and this was a HUGE milestone for this sweet boy we rescued…I hope that this touched your heart…
Hannah and Aidan made it home safely and we are super excited for a fun day….Oscar comes home…my Dad's coming for dinner and Basketball!

I get excited about “free” things too, Susan, so you are not alone! Thank you so much for those sweet photos of Aidan, Hannah and Jack and Norman! How adorable! I have found Autumn (mini poodle)on my pillow when I get ready for bed, and I think it’s just too cute~
Our animals mean the world to us too, Susan! What a precious boy you rescued! He is one LUCKY dog!! Happy Easter!!
Happy Easter to you and your family Susan, and thank you for sharing this sweet pictures of Norman. Our pets are family and we love them and care for them as such. This sweet guy looks so at peace and comfortable but that is only because you have helped him feel that way.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Super excited about the free shipping! These pics are adorable! Norman is so angelic and content in the pictures. He knows he is loved and he loves right back. Happy Easter and God bless!
How adorable!!! I truly believe that rescues are so very thankful for the wonderful families who bring them into their homes! Happy Easter!
Norman is so sweet!! He is one lucky fellow:-). Enjoy your weekend with your peeps – and Oscar:-). Happy Easter!!
That has to be the sweetest doggie picture I have seen! I totally agree about the free shipping. I hate paying shipping even more than tax somehow. But you are right….have to pace ourselves for all that is coming. Happy Easter!!
Norman made me remember our Chuck and Bandit two beagles which we loved for 12 and 13 years. They were both rescue dogs and provided us with much love and laughter. Our new rescue is a bishon mix…Buddy. He craves attention and we comply! lol Enjoy your Easter with your family.
My heart is full and touched this morning by your post. You are a wonderful person for all you do for your family, pets and stampers!
Awwww, Norman is so precious. Thank you for giving him a safe and happy foreve home. You are blessed to have each other. Happy Easter…enjoy your family!
Susan you are truly a gem. Love your pictures…love beagles…love Norman!!
Thanks for the heads up to what’s coming in Stampin’Up. Can’t wait to see the new catalog….
Have a Blessed Easter, enjoy your family, make wonderful memories.
Good for Norman. My little Abby was the same way with my husband, took her two years for her to trust him. Now four years later, she goes to him and wants attention from him. She was rescued from a puppy mill situation, so mom (me), had to teach her a lot of normal dog things. She is just so sweet and we love her to pieces!
Sounds like you have a perfect weekend in store. With family and animals like Norman around, you have the best of components.
Awwwwwwww….you brought tears to my eye’s. What a Sweetheart is right.
My two black kittens that we adopted will be a year old now April 15th. One is still scared (Boris) of everything and the other (Natasha) doesn’t have a care in the world. Natasha has long hair and Boris has short hair. Brother and Sister; but, oh so different.
Thanks so much for sharing!
So love Norman! Thank you for rescuing him! He is very lucky to be at your home, as well as all of your other pets!
Ahhhhhhhh…….enough said!
What a wonderful post and not because of free shipping but because of sweet Norman! He looks so peaceful. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter.
Norman is such a sweetie, and yes you touched my heart with this picture! I hope you enjoy a wonderful Easter.
