I love them…I dislike them (wow, that was the polite way to say it)….but I worked soooooo hard on my Product Share Post….to have it crash as I was finishing up! I am waking up early this morning to re-do it….and I will have (2) posts today, sorry for filling up your in box!
I was THRILLED that so many had fun with Monday's challenge….and we have a winner! Is this super or what!
Here are the colors that she used…"Hello Honey, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and a little Sahara Sand to tone down the sand a bit." Roberta clearly used all 5 of the color families – (I thought that this was a fun challenge)
I know that you are all going to ask about the clouds (they are amazing)…here is the scoop that Roberta shared….just fabulous!
"For the clouds I punched out a scalloped circle and sponged around it. I have found that sponging is relaxing to me and I can create more of a scene this way."
So many great cards…I am always so proud of your work and efforts for these fun personal challenges I throw to you!! What will Roberta win???….THIS BELOW! (one of my favorite "speed tools") and I will be sharing this with you later today!
This is the best handy-dandy tool to have…all of our papers in one spot! Again, I am super frustrated that I lost what I worked hard on….but that's ok…as I know that you will LOVE the shares!
Until later ……today! Please give some woot-woot's to Roberta – great card!
WOW, that is a beautiful card!!
Beautiful card, Roberta! It is such a soothing, relaxing scene and the colors all balance each other. Congrats and well done!
Oh My Gosh! You have no idea how excited I was to see my card on your blog this morning, Susan! Yippee Skippy! I have to tell you that I really needed to do some thinking for this challenge (I guess that’s why they are called “Challenges”)! Thank you So much! I can’t wait to get the swatches!
Thank you, Lucy~
Thank you for your kind words, Mary Ann!
Wow what a gorgeous card. You are a real artist! Congratulations!
This card is beautiful . . . could look like a photo. Great job. 🙂
Thank you, Kathy, but I have to admit….I’ve never thought of myself as an “artist”!
Your card is lovely, Roberta! Great job!
I hope your day is lovely, too!
Absolutely GORGEOUS card! It is truly beautiful!
Wow, Roberta! This is beautiful. And it”s my favorite stamp set. If you don’t mind, I am going to take inspiration and try to CASE this. Just came back from a long weekend at the beach – what a great card to find
Oh how pretty ! I love it ,Roberta ! I want to try the cloud method and have put it off in the past ,but love the way yours look the best …not so obvious it is a scallop circle that you used.
I love love Susan`s CS swatch ring to pieces …in fact I have an extra one for back up !
Happy Hump Day !
Aw….what a sweet comment, Nancy! Thank you~
Well, thank you, Bridget! How nice of you to wish me a lovely day, and for that I say Ditto to you too!
Thank you, Deb!
Margaret, you go right ahead and case till your heart’s content! I hope your beach days included seashore wildlife! They are always so much fun to watch~
WOW….Roberta this card is absolutely fantastic! You really stepped up to the challenge and far surpassed it.
Thank you, Sonny! I hope you end up with some happy clouds! I need to tell you though, don’t be afraid to turn the scalloped circle to the side and even overlap in some cases so that the scallops are not so obvious! If you play on a piece of scrap paper you’ll know what I’m talking about. I’ve never owned a swatch ring, and now I can’t wait to receive it so I can see what I’ve been missing! So excited~
Thank you for your confidence in me, Rosanne! : )
Your card is absolutely gorgeous, Roberta! I love the effect sponging has when making scenic cards and I use the technique often. The cupcake builder punch also makes a great template for sponging clouds. Susan, I think we all would have understood if you hadn’t been so polite in regards to your computer. Quite simply, that sucks! I hope it starts behaving better for you.
This card is really a work of art, Roberta! It is beautifully done. Congrats!
What a gorgeous beach scene Roberta! You did a wonderful job in pulling it all together. Looks just like a post card or a piece of art. It needs to be framed! All I could come up with was some dumb flowery thing that was scrapped before I made it!
Susan, the computer devils were all over yesterday and today. I lost a couple hours of data input at work yesterday as did a few others in other areas. Hard to believe what we can do without them though.
Thank you, Tricia! That makes two of us loving the effect of sponging~
Thank you for your kind words, Karen!
Ok, now you’ve got me blushing, Chris! Thank you so much for your kindness….. Sorry you never got to finish your project. Sometimes it helps to just leave things be and walk away. Come back a couple hours later and you have a different view on the matter at hand.
Such a beautiful card Roberta. Your card is just exquisite!
Such a gorgeous card! You can make a set of themed cards in the same style and it’d make a wonderful gift!
Thank you so much Karen!
Now that would be a great idea for a gift, Pam! Thanks for the inspiration and thank you for your comment~
Roberta, I’m not one to comment very often, but, your card is absolutely beautiful. It actually took my breath away. Great job!!!
I love it, with Dad’s Day just around the corner, how great that you shared this beautiful card today.
I think the way you did the clouds is magical, it also looks like there is a mist in the air.
Love the horizon and the way you colored it to give the illusion of distance, simply beautiful.
OK, now I’m blushing once again, Kathy! Thank you for your uplifting comment….it gave me a real boost today~
Oh, you are so sweet with your thoughtful comments, Maria! You know how to make a gal feel special! This is going to be one of my Father’s Day cards, by the way~
Roberta, Your card is so beautiful. I think it should be framed. The colors are great. Your clouds are amazing. It makes you feel like you just stepped onto a beach. Your colors are so wonderful. Thank you so very much.
Susan, I an so sorry your computer was being very bad yesterday. I am so sorry you lost all of your hard work. We love you so very much. I hope tomorrow will be much calmer for you.
Hugs, Ellen Hinds
You’re very welcome!
Thank you so much, Ellen! Your kind words mean a lot to me….I’m touched by them~
Your card is just beautiful and so serene! Makes me wish I was there. LOL
What a beautiful card!!! Makes me wish I was there! Congratulations! You will love the paper swatches and wonder how you ever did without them. 🙂
Now you are making me anxious to receive them, Jeanie! 🙂 Thank you for the sweet comment about my card! I named it “Sandpiper Beach”.
Roberta:
Congratulations, what a Beautiful card. You did a magnificent job on all the colors and details. Love how you did the clouds. Thanks for sharing your method. What a wonderful prize from Susan. Happy Stamping.
Thank you, Mary Ann! I’m so happy I was able to share my card too. I’m looking forward to the mail arriving with Susan’s pkg.!
Beautiful card, Roberta. I agree with other posters that it looks like a postcard. You are very creative. Thanks for sharing.
