Good morning and you know what today it….it's a super special day for (2) reasons:
- Today is the day of the Week that Stampin' Up! offers us a weekly deal for a group of products at a 25% discount – HANDS DOWN – my pick of the week is the 2" circle punch but the hand-held punches are right behind – perfect timing for today's card as I used the hand-held punch for the dot if paper in the flower!
- We (SUD's) get to pre-order a select group of NEW Products!
Here is comes….a WOOT-WOOT – Very exciting time but lets get to this super cute card – it's a keeper and a great layout to have fun with DSP!
The (2) stamps set that I used are both classics..why – easy-peasy as there are simple , clean and so versatile! It is Perfect Pennant and from the Occasions catalog, Petal Potpourri. You can click on the images in the "scrolling store" to preview them and I am sure you will agree…they are keepers!
The card is a 4 1/4" square card and the recipe is so simple! Layering is the name of the game (I am sure that you cold save paper and piece it together) but sometimes, time talks!
The very vanilla is 4" and then then DSP is 3 1/2" X 4". The sentiment does has a framelit to match, the banners, but I was lazy and just did a quick snip!
Because the flower stamp comes as a bundle – (Woot-woot) – this is a 1-2-3 focal point….stamp – punch – adhere!
I added some dimensionals behind and used the Bermuda bay bakers twine to make some whimical loops to add some interest! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
OOPS….I forgot to add the DSP I used and when I went to add it – the scrolling store came up twice! (sorry) – but you can see that the "Flashback DSP" is a great collection! I adore how it blends well with the very vanilla and I am super happy that we will see more papers like this!
If you want to take a test drive with Stampin' Up! and have fun plus save please email me and I can talk to you about how you can build your own kit with the NEW products in the pre-order….yep – the new goodies…I personally cannot wait to get my hands on the new In colors ink and papers! WOOT-WOOT!
You can pick $125.00 worth of ANY products…pay just $99.00 (plus free shipping) and guess what – you'll be super happy! WOOT-WOOT for the weekly deals (these can be added to your kit) and then get ready for inspiration to the max with being a Pal!
Here is to a FUN day! Until tomorrow – it's a PALS Blog Hop!
Really nice card! I really need to take lessons from you! Can we do that when I get back? I can come to you!
Still waiting on news. Maybe, maybe I can sign up tomorrow! I am really hoping so!
Cyberhugs!!!
Super cute card. One of my favorites from you!
Well, hello to you too! Fun card! The DP is sort of a busy print and I haven’t seen people use it much. But, you managed to do well with it. Love the grounding stripe of crushed curry (?) on there. I forget about doing fun little loops with the twine – adds just a cute touch of whimsy and the blue goes with the center of the flower so well. We don’t always need conventional leaves- right?
Hi Susan, Cute card! I am such a fan of your style! I have to correct you on one thing, though – the Blog Hop isn’t until next week – May 13th. Whew, I got really nervous there for a second! Lol! As you can tell, I’m not ready yet!!
Love this card. I have this stamp set and am always looking for different ideas of how to use it. I agree with Karen, in that I too am a big fan of your style.
Really nice card….I like the way you set it off with crushed curry tag and inner flower. The blue center dot of the flower and blue twine pulls it altogether!
Susan, what a cute card. I love it it is so springy. The colors are sweet and cool. Happy Stamping.
