Yippee – it is Saturday! On Thursday I had a comment that dear Caleb (remember…the kindergarten tike that had a spelling test) had to put his sun glasses on to see my post! Well today, he might need to put them back on! I love the FUN and FRESH colors of this card and I hope that you do as well!
I am doing the happy dance with the new in color of Cucumber Crush (and that is one vegetable that I do not care for) but it is soooo classic paired up with basic black & white and the other POP color is melon mambo!
I thought I would showcase the hexagon punch as it is on the weekly deals this week so that is a woot-woot as you will save 25% and the stamp set is the Six Sided Sampler and YES – it will be staying with us so I thought that this 2 day post would be a win-win all the way around!
The other NEW product that I am using today is the NEW Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack….the design are fabulous, you can click here to see the post I did showcasing them and today I used the flower design in black! To me, these are a total keeper as you will always have a perfect compliment to the project that you are making!
I hope that you will pop back tomorrow to see how I have "stepped it up" – when you break this card down, it is super simple and one that you can make multiples of and if you need to change up the sentiment..than GO FOR IT!
Below you will see a series of pictures that will show you the "how to's"….please feel free to email me if you have any questions on how to make this fun card! The card is a white A-2 vertical card but I used a piece of black the same size as the card to work off of and then adhered it to the card base.
The other stamp set that I used and YES – it will be with us for another year…it is Beautiful Bunch and it also has a punch that POPS it out – a total win-win! (You can see the products that I have used for this post in the scrolling store at the end) I just love our punches that match – WOW – what a time saver!
Today, I used a plain Cucumber Crush flower to accent behind the focal flower! This card is completely flat…no dimensionals today….but POP back tomorrow and see what I have up my sleeve!
Well, how do you like this fun and bold card?I know by sight it looks like a bunch or work…but if you break it down you can do it in steps…and it will be a keeper!
I am excited for you to see the new catalog, the new inspirations….but I must admit, I think that Stampin' Up! did a fabulous job in keeping the "keepers"…and sometime the "keepers" are ones that we might "forget about" but they are still shining stars!
Have a fabulous day and please pop back tomorrow to see how I stepped it up!
Sharp, clean, and crisp! Lots of wow!! Love the colors together!
I love these colors – a definite wow factor and so FUN!
This is GORGEOUS!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! It immediately made me think of a slice of watermelon with all those luscious colors. You outdid yourself on this one. I don’t know how you will “step it up” tomorrow. Can’t wait to see!
Love the quilt pattern Susan and this colors are so fresh and beautiful, my favorite…..Cucumber Crush!! I love this card as it is today, I don’t know how you can make it better.
Thank you for sharing.
Love the card (even with my sunglasses). Lovin’ these new colors. Always hate to see the others go, but SU always outdoes itself with the new stuff. Have a joy filled week-end.
Dear Susan,This card is so beautiful. The new colors are so beautiful and bright. I can not imagine how you can make this card any better. I will be back to see it tomorrow.”Wow”. You did a fantastic job, happy stamping. Ellen Hinds
Beautiful colors and pattern! I think of a crisp summer day, sitting but a lake eating a sweet slice of watermelon. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s post!
Absolutely gorgeous! I will definitely be recreating this one. Oh, and I feel the same about cucumbers as you do, but I love the new paper.
What is next tomorrow – ummmm, a fork or spoon to go with the watermelon? It gave me a smile to think Debra thought the same thing! Maybe because one of people at the funeral luncheon was picking out most of the watermelon out of the fruit salad yesterday! Another was picking out the pineapple. Anyway, this is an amazing pop of color! I haven’t seen the Cucumber Crush up close and personal to tell exactly what it looks like so this was fun to see. I love black and white with red or pinks so this was already a winner. I really love the flower, the center is the punch of color that completes the punched out flower! Have a safe trip!
Bold and Beautiful! I’m not sure how you can “step up” this card but I know you will amaze everyone tomorrow with something gorgeous!!
This is perfect as I’ve had the punch and stamp set for the hexagon and barely used them, in fact I’ve just used the punch a couple of times. As always, Thank u for the inspiration!! Thank u also for the step by step photos on how u started laying out the pattern, etc. This really helps! Will be checking in tomorrow to see how u stepped it up! Mahalo!
