To say "hello"
This is a super sweet card that can be changed up with "thanks" with using the new "greetings thinlits" I am just "head over heels" for these type of script fonts as I think they always add a great flair.
Before we get to the card….I had a great time reading your comments yesterday and I added mine….I love the interactivity we have….there are some amazing stampers out there!
You could whip up these gems in no time at all and just leave off the sentiment and then when you need a super cute card…pull out the "thanks" or "hello" and you are good to go and will most definitely bring a smile to someones face! This is my kind of card!
Here are the dimensions and I do hope that you make this card. As I was grouping together the products that I used today…and take a look – it is all about the basics….(big shot, paper, punches, embossing folders, thinlits, silicone mat, green glue)…you see, you simply cannot go wrong with the basics!
- The Card is the Notecard and Envelopes (love them – (20) for just $6.00)
- The Hello Honey is 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"
- The Whisper White is 3 1/8" X 4 5/8" and then run through the Big Shot with the New Brick Wall Embossing Folder
- Use the 1" punch and punch out a "bee" from the English Garden DSP paper
- Use the 1 1/4" punch to Pop out a Hello Honey Circle (use the inside of the mat)
- Take the Hello Honey pen and add dots all around the edges and then add a dimensions to the back to POP it up!
- Take a piece of Soft Suede Scraps and cut out the "hello" framelit…
Let's put this together….it is a quick one!
- Green Glue is your friend and also the silicone mat….(another must have tool), go ahead and lightly put green glue on the "hello" and let it "set up" for a couple of minutes so if you did get too much, it will set up!
- Green Glue the White Brick piece to the Hello Honey and then glue this down! Lastly, glue the POPPED up bee. Now you can place the "hello" on the front of the card….so darn cute!
- Not so fast…the envelope – from 1 sheet of DSP you can do 12 envelopes…the size to cut is 6" wide X 2"….glue it down and then trim off the access.
There you go my friends….a GREAT CARD RECIPE and you can see that it is all about using the basics! When you are building up your inventory please make sure that you have the basics….the fru-fru stuff can wait. True it's fun, but the basics will get you to where you want to "bee"! (ha-ha)
I know that you all are tired of hearing about the 2 FREE Stamp Sets (of your choice) with the $99.00 starter kit. I know that there are sooo many of you that easily spend more than $99.00 with me and I just feel so bad not offering this to you….
I also realize that you are also Hobbiest, just LOVIN' having time to get your products and have "me time" – You can easily have all of that…I just hate to see you miss a sale…as this is exactly what you should look at it as.
If I said, everything is 25% off – YOU ALL WOULD HOP ON IT…..think of it the same way, this is just an opportunity for you to take advantage of a sale. I know that there are many items that you do not have…but this IS the best time to make sure your basics are covered….
A couple of weeks ago… my wonderful upline, Mary Fish hosted a Virtual Opportunity Night and it was open to everyone and anyone….it was an evening of fun, prizes and lots of information to questions that we are scared to ask….but the questions were asked…and the answers were given!
Grab yourself a cup of coffee and click here and view the fabulous video that Mary put together.(you do have to put your name and email in for the meeting video to start, but no worries – no one will know that you watched it or contact you)
I would love for you to be a part of this fun with me and if you are just the "lurker" – that's great as well. Mary does a fabulous job with touching on what the PALS are all about…I joined with Mary as I adored her style and the no pressure style of Stampin' Up! The PALS are the best, full of support, inspiration and positiveness!
You know I Stampin' Up! and I would love for you to be able to take advantage of the sale. I think that many of you think that "you will lose me as a cyber friend" and that will never happen. If all you want it the 2 free stamps sets and the kit…that's great with me!
Please feel free to email me…or click here and say these words…I'M GONNA DO IT!
Until tomorrow….I think you are going to love and appreciate the 2 day post!

Cute card Susan. Love the contrast and can’t wait to get that brick EB. I don’t usually like bee-themes, but this is very summery and looks great. As usual, I LOVE your dots.
🙂
Super-duper cute! I’ve recently gotten “into” the notecards (thanks to you!) and I love them! Your dots look adorable with the little bee. Have a great day! 🙂
Love the card and how clever to “pop” out a bee from the paper! The sentiment looks great on the brick wall! This is such a fun, summery card to receive on any occasion!
Love your card – love the little bee and that you used notecards ! TFS another great inspiration !
Sweet! A few years ago I saw a card with a bee on it and it said “Whats Buzzin Cuzzin” and I thought that was so clever and have been wanting to make my cousin one. I even bought some paper with bees on it but never made it. Maybe I will dive in and find that paper and make her that card today. It might be a awhile before I buy the English Garden paper but it will be high on my list. I love that pack! I just realized I don’t have the markers from last years colors to make the little dots. Those little dots add the right touch. I don’t have the brick EF but I think I have a honeycomb or hexagon one that would work. This is just one of those fun happy card to send just because you can! The envelope is just too cute.
If a hundred dollar bill just happened to drop in my lap, you bet I would take advantage of the hobby demo deal. The little mini goody bag framelit is on sale this week and that would be first up! That great alphabet set that is pricey would be one of my free sets. I would have to get at least one set of the notecards to make some of those great monogram cards you did a short while back. Who knows, maybe the thing-a-ma-jig or whatever it is would find it’s way to my house and I would have to use it. I can dream can’t I? Have a great weekend!
LOVE this card – I have been trying to do cute and simple cards for my classes….I feel a “CASE” coming on!! LOL! Thanks for sharing!
Susan, Your card is just darling! I like the way you let the paper show off by using simple designs.
That folder is amazing…I love the depth it gives when you emboss. To me, it looks so much deeper and pronounced! You will enjoy it!
Good for you….those darn notecards are the best bang for your buck that you can have and I adore the weight of the paper…much more like the heavy weight new whisper white!
Agree…and it is super with the “thanks” as well…I love this fun paper – the English Garden is certainly the “pick paper” so far….
I just knew that there would be a way for me to use those dear little bees….a punch to the rescue! Have a wonderful day!
This is a cute cute card ! I love “bee” cards in the summer . How clever of you to use HELLO HONEY ! Great detailed instructions as always ! It is always fun visiting your blog !!!
Can’t believe how great the brick embossing folder looks done in white. I must admit I hadn’t been much of a fan, but done in white it’s striking. You always teach me something new!
That card is so cute and would be perfect for beginner stampers. For sharing Susan.
I LOVE that TAG line….”What’s Buzzin Cuzzin” – that is sooo darn cute! Of course the hexagon embossing folder would work perfectly! It would remind me of a honeycomb!
I hope that you look at Saturday’s post as……I am using that goodie bag framelit – it is ADORABLE!!!!!
They will love it and it takes no time a all – I say – GO FOR IT!
Thanks Robin…that’s me – SIMPLE!
I never thought of that – that I used Hello Honey – how darn appropriate!!! I agree….bee cards for the summer are quite fitting!
As always, thanks for popping by Sonny!
I hear you …I hear you…when it first was in the catalog I was like – it’s ok – but when we had the PALS “PJ Catalog Night” – it was overwhelming that this was going to be a hit….
And I listened as these are die hard crafters….I’m just that little simple one…
It is amazing the depth it gives and wowzers on white and very vanilla….very striking!
Yep – it is a perfect card for all levels….the best thing is even though it is so basic – it carries a big statement! Thanks for popping in!
