Good Morning! Well….I thought that I would have been well enough yesterday to be able to create but I needed to listen to my body and wait another day. The pain is still very severe but I am on top of my Meds so it is under control. I can feel a big difference from each time I take a nap!
I will say that while I have been sitting in bed I have put together some Paper Pumpkins…and now I am working on one of the new kits in the catalog! They are really fun!
You all know that I adore my "fur babies" and they are a big part of my life! Here are some collages I put together for you….(click on them to make them larger) The dogs have been right by my side all day long, it ia amazing the instinct of an animal.
These are all our animals except the adorable pony on the upper right. That is "Big Red" He melts my heart and he belongs to the barn in Virginia where Hannah rides….he is sooooo tiny and he only has one eye. He is the babysitter for many of the horses that get anxious being turned out by themselves so he has a very important job!!!
Enjoy!
One of the things that I adore about blogging is that I can also give you a snapshot of who I am and what makes me roll. That is such and easy one to answer…my wonderful hubbie, my 3 peeps and my 4 legged friends. These are all such a big part if who I am.
There were 2 things (animals) that I always wanted….a Jack Russell and a Pig and yep – I have them both! Eddie, was our first Jack Russell and he is really slowing down but his life has been filled with love, balls, toys and knowing that everyday is a new adventure.
Daisy Mae, the pig came into my life from a horse show…. (actually all of our dogs we have rescued) I had a friend that always knew that I wanted a pig. She knew of a pig that was going through a divorce settlement and the people could not agree who got to keep her (so silly…..but I went to go see her – took her for a trial to make sure that she was ok with our dogs and the rest is history)
I am asked often…does she live in the house…OF COURSE she does…she thinks she is a dog and she goes to the door just like a dog does if she needs to go outside. She does not like the winter one bit and you will find her in front of the fireplace all day long….(I think that I am the only one in the house that likes her but she really adores John)
Tomorrow I promise that I will have something fun for you…I need to take it slow and listen to my body. I did have my ankle re-broken and they had to put a metal plate and pins in it and also there was some tendon damage …so they fixed that! I will be as good as new!
I am the very 1st one that realizes the importance of rehabbing (heck, we have been rehabbing Oscar for so long and YES – Morgan gets to help with Oscar!) I am going to take it slow but I wish you could see that have the 1st floor ready to go!
Thanks for your patience and until tomorrow.

Susan please keep listening to your body!! Having had many surgeries it is the first few days that make the difference in your final recovery. Prayers and good thoughts to you from the foggy Monterey peninsula in California. Loved the photos of your animal family.

WOW!! what a fabulous collection of sweet animals Susan, thank you for sharing them.
You need to rest and rest and rest some more, let your body dictate the course, be patient and soon you’ll be on your feet again chasing after all of those super beautiful critters.

Love your collages, what a fun family you have. Listen to your body and praying you have a speedy recovery, sorry you had to go through this again but sounds like you will be in great shape now. God Bless You.
Susan, the collage is wonderful. All your pets are simply adorable and it is evident that they are very well loved. What would we do without them? I think they will certainly help you recover faster. I went through a serious illness nine years ago and my little daschund Tess never left my side…and she still hasn’t! Take care and treat yourself well. Have a restful weekend.
Hope you are feeling better every day and heal really quickly!
Glad that you are progressing and that you have good drugs!! Pain is no fun! Great pics today! I have been wondering about Daisy Mae, so I am especially glad to see pics of her – it’s so funny that she adores your hubby! Animals so often seek out those who don’t like them:-). Well, take care and feel better soon!
Thanks for the glimpse into your family. Take it easy so you can go full throttle when the time is right. Right now your job is to heal and your body will let you know when you are ready to move one. Naps are good for you. So glad you are home for the weekend.
Susan, SP SORRY about your re breaking your ankle!!! I know it was bad enough the first time, and now again and having to go thru surgeries to fix it. DO TAKE CARE, and continue listening to what your body is telling you.
The pictures of all your furries, are so good. Looks like you have a beautiful place and spaces for them to run. They’re ALL so good, but I like the one with them riding the mower with John. They’re sitting and posing as if they own the place. Do take care my stamping friend and FEEL better soon!!
