I have a huge confession…yesterday went by like a BUZZ but it was a fabulous day and I am super excited to have some "me" time today to go thru the Blog Hop…It is always such a treat to see what everyone is up to!
I went to beautiful Middleburg, VA. to see Hannah's horse being ridden in a Horse Show…I was afraid that I was going to miss him go and I got there at 2 p.m. and he did not even show until 7 p.m.! He was amazing…he made me smile….and I was happy!!! I did not get home until after 9 and knew I need to whip up a fun card for you!
Here is the colors that the Pals Paper Art are working with this week. As I was driving home I was thinking what to make…then I thought – USE A SINGLE STAMP and keep it simple….that is exactly what I did!
A great tip that I can give to you is….SINGLE STAMPS are "keepers" – WHY??? They can simply stand on their own! There are times that we need something in a jif and that is exactly what I did today! The fun came by making it into a square card.
Look at how simple this is but it is still super-de-duper cute! To add interest, I did a simple scoring on both sides of the stamped image. I did a super quick "pull together" of all 3 colors and then the accents of the white gel pen with my dashes…..made it POP!
Please do ever feel that each and every time you make a project that you need to recreate the wheel….do what works for you. I have shared this many times before…by playing around with challenges like this and also my Monday "personal" challenges…it does help you develop your own style…..
Because this card was so simple, I thought that I would add a bit of interest in the envelope! Using the envelope punch board to make the envelope, I cut a 1/4" strip of Early Espresso and then added a piece of the subtles super fun designer series paper stack!
This little guy is a super cute stamp and makes up a sweet card. We all can use "Think of you" cards and I bet you are smiling….how do you not like a dear bear.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions….and please do not forget about the amazing opportunity to get 2 free stamp sets, this truly is the best promotion that Stampin' Up! has had over the past year….you have NOTHING TO LOSE and so much to gain….
Until tomorrow….!

This is such a cute card. Thanks for the tips about how to use one stamp and still make a great card. I like the envelope details, as well as the gel pen dashes around the edges and the scoring on either side of the bear. Glad you made it in plenty of time to see Hannah’s horse at the show and made time to show us your card.
You are the queen of making “simple” look fabulous. Can I come take lessons when we get back? (I am emailing you in a few minutes!) I am one who does reinvent the wheel each time, or so it seems. Even when I’m CASEing something, I want it not to be the same.
I’m trying to come up with a card that I can make a ton of for swaps. I don’t have any of this year’s single stamps, so I have to go with what I have.
Thanks for sharing your cute bear! I’m glad you did get to see the horse go. Did you get to talk to the horse afterwards?
Cyberhugs!
Sweetest card ever!!! Love it!
One of my favorite stamps. I never thought to layer the flower. So happy you had a nice day trip yesterday. 🙂
What an adorable card! The colors work so well together and the blue flower is just the right touch of accent needed. So glad you were able to see Hannah’s horse and enjoy yourself. Have another enjoyable day today!
Oh, I love this card! I have been camped out at Regions hospital in Minneapolis, MN, because my brother had a bad motorcycle accident on Monday. A lady cut right in front of him on the highway. Ironically, my bro had just written a letter to the editor the week before pleading with others to be more aware of their surroundings on the road. He is in Trauma ICU and has undergone two surgeries already. He has a long road ahead of him and isn’t out of the woods yet. ANYWAY!!!! I shouldn’t tell my life story on your blog. It just sucks.
I am going to decompress today and plan on making a bunch of cards to be able to gradually give my bro. I have the stamp set you used today and I think it is a great place for me to start. You are never too old to get a card with this adorable little guy on it.
Tricia I am so sorry to hear about your brother and the accident. I am sure our hearts and prayers go out to your family. I am sure Susan doesn’t mind if we all vent now and then (I know I have!) esp when we all need a little TLC.
Cyber hugs!
Sorry about that, I hit reply but it did a regular comment for Tricia.
Susan, this card is so cute and I am loving the colors. Quick story – I was at card night at the CTMH (I know, I know) demo’s house and I had stamped the envelope with the ice cream cone (it was a ice cream card) and colored it. Everyone oohed at it. Then, one woman asked if she could do the same. I said why not, CASE away. Everyone there looked at me sort of dumb-like. Out of 8 people none of them had heard the word CASE as in copy and share everything. That made me laugh. So, as I looked around everyone decided to put a cone on their envelope!
So glad you had a great time yesterday!
Sweet card with our favorite koala. These colors always remind me of my grandmother as she crocheted an afghan for me using these colors. I still have it! I think I’ll try the challenge in her memory. Thanks for the cute card!
Love this card, useable for any age, and koala are adorable. I don’t remember, but when you make a square card do you use a standard size, or rather do you use the same size for your square cards? Hope that makes sense.
This little guy just oozes cuteness! Love the colors too! I am going to have to make a card with this color combo. Tomorrow is my last day at work so I am looking forward to summer and stamping. I hope to try some of the color challenges! TFS
Such a soft and pretty color combination. This card is fabulous!
Adorable !I agree that sometimes just using one image or large sentiment can provide you with a card much quicker !
Tricia so so sorry about your brother ….let us know if you want us to send him some get well cards ! I am sure Susan could keep his address on hand for us !!
As usual great visit on your blog Susan !!
So cute! I love that darling little koala. Great card to CASE!
