Good Morning! I hope that you do not hit that big CLICK ME OFF button when you see how incredibly "Plain Jane" this card is but when you look at it and think of it…it is a classic and it is a GREAT way to make up thank you notes for graduate, friends and YOU!
Make sure that you pop back tomorrow to see how I "stepped it up"…for those of you that need a bit more pizazz. To me, I am "just fine" the way it is but I think you will smile tomorrow!
Before we get going…the post that I did yesterday has been SOOOOOO much fun! I am looking forward to seeing the "end result" of votes so if you did not see it yesterday, please click here and give us your feedback! (I will post the results on Monday)
Let's get to this simple gem! The star of the show is the Stamp Set, Larger than Life! True is a pricey one but it does come with all of the alphabet as well as the numbers (many times they are sold separately and if that was the case…it would add up to this) This is a classic…one that is timeless!
- The base is the FUN Whisper White Note Card….one of my all time favorites!
- The White stamped piece is 1/4 smaller = 3 1/4" X 5 3/4" TIP: – Because I am "type A" I found the center of this piece and placed a pencil dot before I stamped the image!
- A simple "flip over" and then scored at all sides is the classic touch…..
- A mat of Mossy Meadow makes the initial POP!
Time to talk about this AMAZING Liner Paper, English Garden…..just look at this INCREDIBLE paper…the colors are just beautiful and I am excited for you to see tomorrow's as I think it accents the paper perfectly!
- Big Shot to the rescue and the Envelope Liner framelit – BAM….done!
For all of you amazing Product Share people….I feel like a 3 armed wall paper hanger, busy cutting and getting everything "Just Susan right" for you! It is such an exciting time…and I adore seeing the new products.
I am waiting for "my" order to come in….I placed the Product Share and had it expedited (But I did add 3 stamp sets as I could not wait)…you'll see one tomorrow!
Let's all have a great day! Yesterday was a scary one for us….as our wonderful – "Norman" our Beagle simply could not get up….after taking him to the vets…he has full blown Lyme's….(and we use Frontline)….he is home and comfortable….very scary and even though he is not out of the woods….please check your animals for ticks!
I adore him….he had a very bad prior life before he became an "Itell" – Until tomorrow!
p.s. – Please do not let anyone tell you there is something wrong with "Plain Jane" – she is a classic!
Poor Norman. You can see in his eyes that he does not feel well. Lyme’s can be devistating for both pets and humans. It is bad here is Wisconsin. I appreciate you working (cutting) your butt off so that I can get my portion of your product share. I’m curious to find out which 3 stamp sets you couldn’t wait to receive. I adore the simplicity of your card. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s version…
Oh, I hate noticing a typo because I didn’t proofread before I hit “post!” I really do know how to spell “devastating” 🙂 Have a great day!
Poor puppy. Hope he feels better soon. Love your card too.
Hope Norman recovers soon! I love this card and now I must have the stamp set too! I particularly love the lines on all sides of the white piece. Were they made on a trimmer with the scoring tool or on the scoring board? LOVE IT but not sure how you got it too look so great. Thanks in advance!
How cute is this….would make a great gift too for someone! Hope Norman is feeling better today!
I love guessing how you are going to crank it up a step. I’m thinking a pack of six for the graduate in a cute paper package. Thank you for the KISS card! Have a great day
I like this card because it has an “S” ! I agree with Lucy and Nancy …this would be a great gift or you could include a gift card inside or better yet put in with that great Tin Of Cards set for a birthday or whatever !!!
Last ,but not least Robyn does great cards …I was blessed with one in Brian`s Spring Swap ! Hey Robyn ….you are gonna love Susan`s Cardstock Swatch Ring !!!
I’ll pray for Norman. He deserves as good a ‘rest of his life’ as he can have.
Hugs, Jess
Hope your precious little guy feels better soon.
I think your card is classic elegant, not plain Jane.
You have convinced me by your beautiful sample that I must get this alphabet stamp set! I do hope Norman gets well quickly – poor sweet boy!
Norman may look tired but he knows his family loves him and will take care of him…..give him a big cyber hug from me! Your card is classy and elegant and definitely a keeper. I love everything about it and can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Love the card! Very smart-looking and would look great in a variety of colors. My English Garden paper arrived yesterday and I LOVE it! I know I’ll be getting more. SU really got this one right.
I hope Norman is resting comfortably and will be ok. He couldn’t have a better person caring for him.
I do like your card! The lined envelope already bumps the card up a notch. My daughter would like cards like this!
I hope Norman feels better quickly. Glad the vet was able to determine what was wrong!
Cyberhugs!
Oh no, poor Norman! So glad you caught it though. My two poodles bring home ticks nearly every time we go walking in the warmer weather. It’s called living in the country. At least we only found 1 snake in our yard this year, last year we had 2 dens and killed 26! Your card is definitely a classic, Susan! The Dp adds that pop of color~
This is not a plain Jane card – it is a Simply Susan classic or a Sensational Susan classic – now, that sounds better! Back in the olden days when I graduated H/S (I never managed to complete my college degree) I would have loved to have a set of these to send thank you notes for all the dumb presents I did receive. Nowadays, even just a simple hello would be fun to receive with the initial on it! Now, as far as stepping it up – I would only think a change up of the envelope linter maybe and a great packaging idea maybe. Maybe a second scoring line? Personally, I would leave it as is and the only way to make it better would be to have a “C” or an “R” on it!
This would be so cool to get as one of the free extra sets you can get for joining SU for the $99! Now, if I had a change in job for the better you bet I would go for it! Then, I could make these classic cards and have part of my Christmas presents made ahead!
Now, how could I not say get well little fella! A fellow hound sends a slobbering wet kiss and a hug to get to feeling better. I have a friend who developed Lyme’s Disease and he was one sick guy! Hopefully, they can treat Norman’s condition fast so he can be up and around and wagging that tail while playing with all his siblings. We know he has a great family to take care of him. How old is Norman?
Dear Susan, I love your beautiful Susan Card. It is NOT Plain Jane. Your cards are so beautiful. I love the simple scoring around it . It should have E on it. I can not imagine how you can step this one up. I can wait till tomorrow. I hope Norman feels better . You have a wonderful caring family that love you Norman. Have a great Stamping Day, Hugs, Ellen Hinds
I think the scoring really finishes up this card nicely! Hugs and well wishes for Norman 🙂
this card is not “plain Jane”…it’s clean and simple and that is my FAV style! Also it’s dressed up with the cute envy liner so no longer plain Jane at all! Thanks for sharing your creation!
