Why did I call this post a "Tuesday Treat"?….Easy = I think that this is a super cute card and I hope that this is a "treat" to you to see a sweet card made with this new stamp set, Gift from the Garden. I must admit…I was totally on the fence with this stamp set but I broke down and it found its way to my home.
*** I am adding this paragraph early on Tuesday morning*** – Make sure that you read all the way to the end of the post and I will explain the "weekly deals" and more specifically the Bonus Products that Stampin' Up! is doing on the Tuesdays this month.
I had another card planned for you today but you will see that later in the week, I just couldn't let a day go by without sharing this sweet card with you! Also, I had over 30 DOG LOVERS that wanted the scoop on Mary Ann's card….I am grouping you all together for an email blast – you should get it by the end of the day.
I will be doing (at least ) 2 more posts using this stamp set as it is my goal to show you at least 3 different ways to use a specific stamp set so you can see a variety of ways to use it.
Enjoy the parade of pictures and also know that I was not able to list the individual markers as there are many markers that you cannot purchase separately…..I know that it is a huge investment, but I do recommend that you purchase…"BIG DADDY" of markers.
I purchased mine over 5 years ago and I still have each and everyone and they work like they did the day I purchased them….the reason I am bringing this up is that I used the brush tip end of the markers to color the "tops" of the pots.
The colors I used were Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Perfect plum. The pots are crumb cake and then I stamped them again and fussy cut them out and POPPED them up with Stampin' Vitamins! After coloring them in…I gave the stamp a big "huff of stampin' love" and presto – a cute image!
Look at the picture of the flower pots….do you see the one in the middle has that leave that drapes over? What I did here is on a scrap of paper, used the mossy meadow marker to color in the leave….stamped it and then cut it out and adhered it with a wee bit of green glue. Well worth the effort as I think it is adorable!
A simple tiny bow with the Bakers Twine added that little special something that added to the sweetness of this card! You have heard me say this many times – Bakers twine is the BEST bang for your buck…..
To add the fun to the envelope, the Brights Designer Series Stack with the highlight, I just ADORE this bold polka dots….how about you? Don't they just make the card fun!
You know what today is….the Tuesday deals….please click here to see the scoop this week. Do you have a favorite? Make sure that you also go into the clearance rack….lots of goodies on there!
I have my eye on the product that I think is a great investment – I will blog about it as I think people do not look at it a bunch because of the price but let me tell you…..whenever I make something with the Hamburger Box Die….
Ok….back to the card today…..
I hope that you can see that having a bunch of "white space" makes a clean and simple backdrop that allows the stamp and sentiment POP out and be the focal part. Pleased o not be afraid to fussy cut out simple things like these pots, remember – I am SUPER SIMPLE and if I can do it – YOU CAN@
Get ready for a FUN BLOG HOP tomorrow….the PALS will be hopping away and you will be inspired to the max….thanks for popping in, please feel free to email me and remember, the scrolling store makes shopping fun…..just click away!
Until tomorrow…..
p.s. – ok, here is the scoop….do you remember that last week the clearance rack thing was a bummer for us….well on our updates this is what they are going to be doing this month!
On Tuesday we are already conditioned that we get weekly deals….THAT IS GREAT – well in addition to that, they are adding some "Bonus" products that are LIMITED QUANTITIES ……so if you see something in there….DO NOT WAIT – grab them. Last week I know that there were several that ZOOM – were gone!
I do think that it is great that they are adding NEW product for these weekly deals/bonus products….some of my picks….(to me these are just great staples so why not) – the satin stitched ribbons and the card stock assortment packs….the new cotton stripe ribbon (this make a beautiful "flat knot" and also will be great with holiday fru-fru and packages….
Gotta run to get my order in…….please do not be disappointed as you can see some items have very low quantities for all of us die-hards!

I LOVE this card – so clean and crisp! I do have one question…..On the center pot it looks like one of the leaves is hanging over the edge of the pot – How did you get this effect? In the pic it gives the impression that you stamped one leaf, fussy cut it, and adhered it but is that the case? GREAT JOB and thank you sooo much!
Super cute! I love it. We must schedule a lesson or three (me watching you create!).
Talk to you soon!
Cyberhugs!
Hi Deb….I will go back and add that – you are right, I did cut it but I will pop back into the blog post….also – see the bonus deals!
A lesson with you…would be a delight!
This card is perfect! Love the simplicity, colors and stamp set. The way you did the little leaf hanging is adorable! Great job, Susan!
Susan: You’ve outdone yourself with this one. Perfect for almost any occasion.

Simple is beautiful, and this card is indeed a beauty! I love the popped up leaf! I agree that the big box of markers is one of the best investments you can make. I use mine ALL the time! Have a wonderful day!
No wonder, I thought VARIETY was the spice of life! No wonder I don’t have any close friends here in town! Love this card – it is so calm and soothing! Is that an aloe plant on the left? Sorry, I couldn’t help it! I thought you had used the very vanilla cards instead of the whisper white. Whichever, I think this set just went up higher on the list – I loved the pots and wasn’t sure about using the other stamps that much. Oh, I forgot, I had seen someone else do a similar card only used blendabilities to make it more of a terra cotta color and then used crushed curry instead of the purple making it a different plant than a lavender plant. I made the comment about using crushed curry since it was a spice and she laughed and sent me an e-mail about only I would think that! Now, I can’t remember who that was. Gotta add another pun- the baker’s twine little bow is the tie that binds! With that my dear, have a good day and remember to rest that ankle! We have cooler temps today and less humidity, yeah!!!!!
This card is adorable! I love the tiny bow and the leaf.
Hi Susan!
I am new (again) to Mary’s Pals…..and just wanted you to know I adore you and adore this card!
I hope to see you sometime if you are able to make it to convention…..I am too late for this year, but maybe next year. I hope to continue to get inspiration and ideas from you every day! Thank you for your beautiful designs and awesome, simple and elegant cards!

I too, have been on the fence about this set. I think you and that extra little leaf have pushed me over! It adds so much to this card -brings it to life! I love it!
Hi Susan! I love your card designs. Am a “beginner” stamper and your ideas and tips are so helpful. I notice you line your envelopes. Love that! Could you tell me how you do that? Thanks!
Funny, I have been on the fence about this set as well. It’s now on my list. This card is simple and jaw dropping beautiful. I love your little touches Susan. Thank you for sharing your creativity!
