Good day to everyone…I am sure that you can relate to this phrase…."Life Happens"!!! Sorry that the post did not go off this morning but yesterday was a super busy day and the day completely got away from me!
I do not know if you are like me or can relate to this…but when I know that I am going away, I worry so much about the house…making sure there is plenty of food….everything is clean….the animals are ok and then when it is time to take care of myself – YIKES….the clock was spinning way too fast!
I am typing this as I am flying to Salt Lake and we are going to do something FUN fun (dah!!!…..we always have fun) and I am super happy with that silly clip art above….so let's look into the future and one of you will win BLOG CANDY!
What is the BLOG CANDY???
Something that I know that you are going to adore….
How about 25 swap cards!
That's right...just leave me a comment today by midnight tonight for the following question. It will be super fun to see what everyone sees in their crystal ball!
What would be your top 3 wishes in the
Holiday Catalog?
The reason I said the answers had to be in by midnight is because….I will see the NEW catalog and goodies tomorrow so to be fair I am making it just for today!
Here are my top 3 wishes:
- An absolutely beautiful Holiday 6" X 6" Paper Stack ( I ADORE the new ones we have and have used then soooooo darn much….)
- More Sentiment Framelits (I love being able to have a simple "focal" word as the main accent to a clean and simple card.
- More Punches (Punches to me are TOTAL SPEED TOOLS and anytime I can get my paws on a great punch. I know that it will save me time!
You know that I made a bunch of Swap Cards and for those of you that do not know what a swap card is….well for every card I made, some wonderful nice, talented, fun Stampin' Up! lovin' person will share with me a card that they made……FUN!!!!
I made 200 swap cards so that means that I will be coming home with lots of great ideas for you! My posts are going to be very different over the next week as I am traveling to convention (naturally) but then afterwards continuing on to be with Hannah.
Please make sure that you pop back daily as I will share with you highlights, pictures of super great ideas and yep…..possibly more BLOG CANDY! I knew that the effort putting into making the cards would be a win-win for both of us….and I know if someone gave me 25 cards….I would say WOOT-WOOT!
Good luck and leave me a comment letting everyone know of 3 things that you would like to see in the new Holiday Catalog!
Once I land, I am taking a tour of the home office….going to a training meeting and then a Sip and Swap with the PALS (whew….BIG DAY for the country girl) – I am so excited as this being the 1st time is super special to me…..darn, I wish we all were together!
I can't wait to read your wishes….I will do so when it is "get that foot up and ice time" Until tomorrow!
p.s. – I might have my posts go off later than usual so I can give you the fun highlights…I figured that I would have to go back to the hotel for part of the day to rest my ankle….have no fear – I have not forgotten about you!

I’m glad to hear that the delay in your post was simply “life” getting in the way. When I checked my three favorite blogs this morning (yours, Mary Fish’s & Brian King’s) and yours wasn’t updated yet, I worried for a second. Then I remembered you were traveling today and assumed that was the reason, and that all was OK. It’s amazing

Top 3 wishes – ummmm, one of everything in the catalog free and sent to me postage paid! Hey, a girl can wish can’t I? Now to hold it down to three? How about three themes?
1. Paper in the smaller stacks. I am going to be picky. We need a good fall one, one with traditional holiday colors, snowflakes which could go in a cozy stack with a flannel looking paper and/or maybe some pretty poinsettia paper or holly and ivy type. Nothing garish and no hot pink and lime green. Let another company do that! There would probably have to be a new paper for Halloween that is fun and not too cartoonish. Pam also mentioned birthday themed paper for fall and winter would be nice and/or sentiments to go with. It can be as simple as a mannish looking buffalo wool print or flannel for me and women a sweater looking paper or something and then the sentiment “Wishing you warm wishes for a happy birthday!” For my Jewish friends, I can always get by with a winter themed paper and warm winter wishes type of deal but maybe a good blue and silver paper would be great.
2. Stamps. OK wouldn’t it be fun to be able to use stamps we already have with new ones mixed in? Like a zillion reindeer single stamps were sold. How about a something to go with it in a sentiment so we can bring him back out – maybe a little wreath framelit that you could make & put around his neck? We need good sentiments and maybe for inside too. Snowman! I like the idea that Pam said about fall stuff not just leaves though I love my leaves but mums, pumpkins, stuff that would look great with burlap ribbon and linen twine.
3. I love my punches. How many of us bought the little mitten punch and thought it would hang around at least a year? Yeah, right – bring us a new stamp set to use with it. With the punches and/or franelits ideas for decorating a wreath or packages as well as the cute little candy holders. In other words stuff we can really use! We need a snowflake punch.
Yes, I did not have to work today and I had time to blab on. I just came up with some ideas for packages and decorating while wishing my time away.
Wishing you a great time at the convention and with Hannah and a safe journey. Looking forward to your posts of all the goodies and friends you see.
Snowflakes
Some fun 3D die or idea for cute holiday gifts

Susan, have fun at the SU convention. I’de like to see some great holiday DSP, some holiday framelits and some bundles.
I totally love punches, great stamp sets like “White Christmas” and DSP’s to go with each major holiday in the second half of the year! That is just a few of my favorite things and I can’t wait to see how many of my personal wishes come true!
Wow, thanks so much for offering such awesome blog candy! My wish for the Holiday Catty would be for a beautiful religious stamp set with a great sentiment for Christmas, more word or phrase framelits, and any fall themed sets that are different from the usual jack o’ lantern sets/ pumpkin sets. More fall harvest, maybe.
In the meanwhile, have a great time at convention and try to take care of yourself.

I’d love to see non-cartoon images for Thanksgiving and Christmas, some Christmas paper in true red and green with traditional designs, and a set of fall and winter seasonal and holiday sentiments.

My wish for the catalog though is some nice Christmas stamps, punches ans awesome designer series paper.. Frame lists would be good and a great Santa punch that we can layer!!!
Inky hugs,
Terry ~~~
Well, now that’s a question… I think I’d love a stamp that goes with the Lovely as the Tree set. Make it look like snow on them! Good idea huh. (I know it’s too late to get a new stamp in the works) But it would be fun.
