Good Tuesday morning – I need to say a HUGE….I missed YOU! These past few days were ones that were not planned for but I needed to be there for a special person. I arrived home last night to a WONDERFUL surprise….my oldest "peep" from Boston came home so trust me, as tired as I was – a new spark of energy seeing him was a great and special surprise.
This is a super short post but I do have lots of pictures for you – I said to Hannah, I need to go upstairs and whip up a card as I miss my blog….I miss my play toys (my stamps) and I truly did not imagine being away as long as I was.
This card is going right to a special friend that needed a shoulder. I am super blessed to have her in my life and I hope that you are lucky enough to be able to have someone that you can lean on and also can be for them when they need you!
This is my kind of card…..very straight forward and clean! The stampin' trimmer is all you need to make the straight cuts and then layer paper to make the POP happen! (remember to POP out punches etc….to save paper if you are covering it up like I did here – no one will ever know!)
Stampin' Up! has come out with so many wonderful water color looking stamp sets…they look hard but they are super easy – just stamp one color and then use a different one – PRESTO!
Please do not be intimidated by 2 step stamping…it is really fun and they make you feel so good with the end result – remember having FUN is key!
I have my work cut out for me with checking and answering emails – I have truly missed my "dailiness" that I have become so accustomed to and I am looking forward to staying home!!!! As the saying goes….."There is no place like home"
Tuesday is weekly deals day! Please click here to see what Stampin' Up! has offered to us this week….I took a glance and my PICK – the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch….LOVE IT – use it often and you know what I call my punches….my SPEED TOOLS!……ZOOM!!!!
Thanks for your patience and it is so funny – you have no idea how much I missed our "daily chats" – '
Caleb has probably gone to college….Chris R has Mike in a movie….Mary Ann is making more incredible sheep.... Until tomorrow!

This is a beautiful card and thank you for sharing. I am relieved to know that you are okay as was worried that ankle may have been behaving badly. So glad you are back but I do send my heartfelt prayers and best wishes to your friend in need – That is one lucky person to have you in their life! Prayers to all that things get better! Thanks for all you do for so many, Susan!
My oldest “peep” is in Boston too for grad school! She is studying to be a librarian. And my youngest is in college there by you in Baltimore. As they get older I get to see them less and less. So when they visit it is a big event. Enjoy your visit! Love all your creations and “visiting ” with you on your blog!
Beautiful
Today’s card is as sweet as ever. So glad that you are ok and that you were able to take time to be there for someone else in their hour of need.

Beautiful card. Glad you were able to be there for your friend in need, she is fortunate to have you.
You certainly have been quite busy since your second bout with the ankle. I don’t know how you do it all, and in a scooter besides! I’m sure all your fur babies have been wondering where you’ve been too! That is one pretty whipped up card, Susan! So happy for you to be thinking about us as soon as you got home last night. I’ve missed you too~ Hugs
I kept checking my email, missing your posts! Pray all is well again for your friend. You are a loving person to give your time that way and to us everyday! Glad you are back! Love the layering–a true Susan card to get us back in stamping mode.
Your friend is very lucky to have kindhearted you in their life and we, your “cyber friends”, are lucky as well! You are quite the special lady with a heart of gold! The card is beautiful and I am sure your friend will cherish it forever! Glad you are back….missed you! Sheep rock!
Beautiful card! One that I will CASE. It was so good seeing your blog this morning. I was worried about you. Glad you are back!
This is really quite beautiful! I like your color choices and the layout.
Happy day Susan is back !! We missed you bunches !! It was getting dreary around here on your blog because nobody was home !
Love this card and I am trying to decide if I want that stamp set (like I need it )because of that silly Bee !
Susan,
When are the July card kits going out. Have not received mine yet.
Maureen
I missed you to. A little worries about you when there was no blog.
We missed you more! I was worried sick, honest! I was going to try and find Jeanie’s phone # or call your house! Well wishes to everyone!
The card is simply wonderful. I love the layers and the pretty colors. I think I will need to get this set!
Mike in a movie, that is the last thing we need! Enough said!
Yay!! You’re back!! You have been missed! I’m so thankful you have been able to be there for your friend during her time of need. i will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Caleb practically peed his pants because he laughed so hard at your “Caleb has probably gone to college…” comment! For the record, if Mike was in a movie I would definitely go see it. Your card is gorgeous and your friend will feel your love when she receives it in the mail. Glad you could spend time with your oldest son! Have a great day!
Your card is beautiful. I have always liked that DSP paper, and the flower stamp is a perfect accent. Glad you were able to help your friend, but I know returning home brings a special joy to ones heart too.
Beautiful card, Susan. I just love the colors and the layout. Am I understanding correctly when you say to use your “cut out pieces” from one layer, and cover that cut out piece with the other? That’s a great idea; I’ve heard this before, but to be honest, I always forget to do that. You have been missed as well. Glad you’re home and hoping and praying you are feeling better every day. I must CAS this card for sure. I love it!
Beautiful card, Susan. I love the pink and green together along with the great sentiment. Glad you’re home. Have a great week with more progress on the ankle. Believe me…you were missed!!
Hooray Susan is back! Love your card with its clean and simple lines. This is a great layout that I need to remember. A very sweet card just like our Susan!
Glad you’re back, missed you too:). Love this card and even beginning to like blushing bride, which I didn’t when it came out:). I think that clean and simple cards are the backbone of stamping and always go to my Susan file when I need a sample of that kind of layout.
Have a great week:)
Awe Deb….you are so sweet! I am glad you liked the card and I must say…it was totally worth every minute being together with her but I did miss you all!
I hope that your “PEEP” love Boston as much as Will does….he has had a fabulous time there and we have enjoyed visiting him. Baltimore is a hop , skip and jump for me…thanks for popping in….
You just cannot go wrong with this stamp set – a total keeper! Thanks for popping in!
My trio of fun….thanks for the comment! I have missed you guys and I am totally with you about home….it was great to be a shoulder and help but it is fabulous to be home. Hugs!
Oh Ellen….your words are so beautiful…and I must say, I felt honored and blessed to be able to be a friend. I did miss you all and there are times that things are unplanned but work out for the best. I need to be right where I was….hugs to you my beautiful friend
YEAH – I am glad that you likes it – it is hard to mess up with such a great stamp set to work with! I can remember being so intimidated with “double stamping” and now….I find it a total treat!
I agree….it has been a busy time and having to have the 2nd round of surgery was not in the summer plans but I am making the best of it!
You and I are going to carve out some “me time” and be creative gals….I will cherish a day together!
Stamp away my friend….you have no idea how I missd being “inky”….when you do not plan to be away, it is funny how you miss things that are such a part of your dailiness but all is good! Thanks for your thoughts!
SHEEP DO ROCK and did you see…there is a SHEEP MOVIE out…..darn I wish that we lived closer to get a huge bucket of popcorn and critique the sheep together….hugs!
Yeah….I am so glad that you like it and please case away…and have fun with all different colors. Many thanks for your concern….I truly feel so blessed to have such concern!
Thanks Terri…I am so happy that you like it….it makes me happy and I love the fact that you can do straight cuts and create such a sweet card !
Knock…knock = I’m home!!!!! It is great to be home and sleep in my own bed! YES, you do need it…it is one of the best stamps sets in the catalog….the whole concept of double stampin is fun….and I do agree with you – I love that darn little bee!
You should have it….I know that you are going to enjoy it…I will check the tracking number for you.
My heart feels both special and blessed to have such concern….I sure do love my cyber friends!
Oh Chris…..I knew that you would worry – I wish I had my computer to email you….I must say – every time I see one of those little critters I crack up laughing and think of your hubby!
You give that bundle of joy a huge hug from me….this is the “peep” that reminds me of Caleb. He teaches 6 – 9 year old in a Montessori School…I told him of my little buddy. Please tell Caleb that Eddie went swimming in the pool and went to the closet where his coat is because he was too cold in the air conditioning when he came in…..the life he leads – but I love him so!!!!
I agree – this DSP is so simple and fun. Not too fussy but just simple and clean. My friend is one special person and it was a wonderful and healthy time being there for her…..she is true blue!
YEP…If I have a strip of paper that I am going to cover up….I always try to pop out a shape etc….to save the paper as it will be covered up and only you will know!!!!
Please CASE away and smile with the end result!
You are too sweet….you can not go wrong with Pink and Green….a classic to the max for me! This is such a sweet DSP to work with! I missed you all as well!!!!
Hello my friend…now YOU are the one to say a BIG WOOT-WOOT to…..did you see all of those FABULOUS comments from your card…I ALWAYS beam when something come from the trio!
WE WILL GET TOGETHER…..it would be a fantastic time together.
That is so funny that you said that about the Blushing Bride…I felt the same way when it came out as I thought it was a bit dull….but it had really grown on me and I LOVE IT!
FILE away my friend!
I just love how soft and wonderful this card is. That particular designer paper makes me so happy. I keep hoarding mine. I should bit the bullet and use it!
