I adore this sentiment because it is so true and something that I feel we all need to embrace with life…
The SKY'S the LIMIT
This wonderful sentiment is from the Over the Rainbow Stamp Set and you can see below in the picture – it's a keeper…it is fun….it is super unique…and it covers so many different cards to be made!
On yesterdays post I shared with you how to make these FUN poppers and I was "pulling it together" with a FUN card for Hannah. I knew that I wanted to make her a special card and I think that this "nails it" to wish her the best for her last year at College!
Before we get to this fun card, I want to say a big "thank you" for the many comments and emails I received about taking that plunge with a video. I means so much as I have really been a turtle with my head in and it truly encouraged me, thank you.
Let's get to this SIMPLE yet CLASSIC Card. It is an odd size, 4 1/2" X 6" – you know that I love my odd sizes and with the envelope pinch board – why not?!?! Does this look familiar to you? My dear Stampin' Friend Sharon sent me this card that I blogged about and I told you that I would CASE it…how in the world could I not as it is just fabulous!
I just LOVE the color combination today! The DSP is from the Schoolhouse Collection and it is sooooooo much more than for "school age children" – I think that this is a super classic print. and then the stripe – WOWZERS!
You can see that the "classics and basics" work….the Big Shot, Circle Framelits, great paper, Trimmer, Simply Scored and of course, Stampin' Dimensionals….I REST MY CASE – you just cannot go wrong with having the basic tools as the basic will make you shine…..ALWAYS!
Let your imagination go wild with the different cards that you can make with this layout. I can easily see a Birthday card, a Holiday Card…it would be a SUPER Baseball card….always look at a card "that speaks to you" tell you how you can store that in your wonderful brain and pull it out later!
Making an envelope for this odd size card was easy with the punch board but I just wanted to really make the envelope super fun with this bold prints!
The prints are 1/2" and the navy is 1/4" – Isn't this super fun? Just take your time when doing this and I do love the green glue. Now if this does not make you smile…..please tell me why?
I cannot wait to make this card using a holiday stamp…and of course I will share it with you – I was going to do my famous dots on the stamped part but I restrained and I am glad that I did – it would have been too much!
I hope that you enjoyed today's post! You know what today is….drum-roll….drum-roll – the weekly deals! I just get as excited as you do to see what Stampin' Up! is offering. Click here to see the goodies…..do you have a favorite?
Something else super exciting….a week from today is the MAGICAL DAY that YOU can order from the new Holiday Catalog and I know it will be super fun for you to see the entire catalog! It's a keeper!
If you are a customer of mine you should have received your catalog, if you did not, please email me and let me know. If you are not currently working with a Demonstrator, I would adore to work with you and happy to send you a catalog….if so, please email me and I will send you one.

Hi Susan, I liked this card the first time around and it is still great. The envelope looks like it was fun, to see what fit, and what you can use up. I have this stamp set, but didn’t ink it up yet. Hope you can open this rainbow.

🙂
I recognized the card right away. It works great in cheerful orange. This design really makes the graphics on the paper the star of the show. A fun card to make or receive.
Great colors, Susan. Cute card. I love the amazing rainbow video Nancy sent.
Wow that paper packs a punch of color but that envelope is nothing less than spectacular! The scoring is a great touch too. Love it! I can see this as a Christmas card too.
I am going to try and watch the video – I still couldn’t access it last night. Guess I can ask Mike to help me. There is just a huge big white space on the blog post.
Sharon-Sharon-Sharon…what are we to do???
What a fun card today! Like Robyn C. said I knew what this was all about too! LOL great choice of a clean simple and classy layout that will never let you down! Nice trio – card, envelop, and popper. Anyone would love to get this!!
Beautiful! I’m sure Hannah loved everything! I’ve also CASED Sharon’s original card and will do it again–it’s a fun, quick card. We were gone visiting my brother yesterday so we haven’t seen yesterday’s video yet…heading there now. Have a great day!
…so happy you were able to open it. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
Of course I love this card Susan. Your paper choices are wonderful. I really like your design on the envelope’s flap. Very clever! Keep the videos coming!!
Hi Susan,
Cute card. I’ve cased this one, too, as a birthday card for my husband. I didn’t get the chance to comment on your video yesterday, but I think you’re doing a great job! You’re a natural! Keep up the great work. I check in on you daily.
This is a fun stamp set and you need to get this baby inked up and play! I was able to open up the rainbow and WOW – AMAZING…What a spectacular sight….one that would definitely leave a lasting impression for a life time! Every time I see a rainbow I think of my Mom – she loved rainbows…thanks for making me smile!
The trio is on the loose!
Thanks HJ….please do me a favor – can you email me…..I cannot find your address ANYWHERE and I am sprouting more gray hairs looking for it!
Thanks my friend….I keep forgetting to ask you – do you and Mike go to the Iowa State Fair – that sure does seem to get the media attention!
Go to you tube and access it from there – that should work!
You guys are too much….simply the best! I love my 3 Stamp-a-teers!
YEAH – I hope that your brother is doing better…please email me and let me know – I have been thinking of you and the whole family….he has been through a lot!
Thanks to YOU is is a FUN card…just like you!
Super duper making it into a masculine card! I am sure it was a hit – it is a fabulous layout – one to use over and aver again! Thanks for the sweet words about the video!
We didn’t go this year but have in the past. Too much hot air this year and Mike’s back was really bothering him to walk. In the past we have met so many candidates coming and going. That one year I was totally burnt out between the candidates and the media. How do you tell an Asian media crew that you can not find pigs and corn on every street corner?
I will check the You Tube channel and let you know.
Lovely card, as usual. Thank you (and apparently Sharon) for the simple, yet effective details with Simply Scored.
