Well I personally hope that this title of today's post is true as Fall is my hands down favorite season of the year. It is a time of the year that the colors are at their best….crisp and cool mornings….ginger snap cookies, apple cider….I just love everything about this time of the year!
Today's card is Fall at its best! I hope that this also shows you that using a Designer series paper as a focal point works! We are always to fearful to use our paper in this fashion but it does make a statement. This paper is from the Farmers Market DSP collection and this is one classic paper. (I think it gets overlooked but the colors and art work is just fabulous)
Now this is something that you do not hear from me often…both the the stamp sets that I used today come in bundles. They are Vintage Leaves and Among the Branches….You can click the images below in the scrolling store to see the details of each bundle but I would not recommend that you purchase the Among the Branches in the bundle. WHY?????
Easy = as the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is FREE from ME with any order this month of $75.00 +. This has been such a popular embossing folder and it is my pleasure to send it to you…remember to use the hostess code of YHNMUJNJ . You can click here to see the post that outlines the offering.
The color of Cajun Craze is Fall all over, it looks great super with Hello Honey….Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and many more but this POPS the DSP! I admit, I do not use it as much in the other seasons….so I try to take advantage of it now!
These leafs are just so detailed and beautiful. The matching framelits are a lifesaver and they curl so perfectly! Even once you put it in an envelope and then pull it out, they still have movement….(just work the fibers well with the bone folder)!
On the maple leaf I stamped it in Hello Honey and then took a sponge dauber with the Cajun Craze and lightly dap color over top and then stamped it. Love the effect it gives!
Did you notice that I took a piece of vanilla to make a little banner with the little leaves? WHY? Honestly, I just wanted to cover it as this is meant to be a "card" – not something that I will give with a treat! (the Sentiment says….Autumn Wishes and tasty dishes)
The finale, the envelope! I should ask you? Do you make your envelopes fun? I honestly can say that I do not have one card that leaves my house without something fun on the envelope….either lined or stamping on it….let me know if you do!
Where has this week gone? ZOOM….I have my head to the grindstone finishing up the product shares and SOTM kits….I will be away next week so I am trying to pull together a bunch before I leave!
Please remember to use the hostess code of YHNMUJNJ when you place an order! If your order is over $150.00 – you do not need to use it as you will get hostess benefits but please know that I will gladly mail you the fun goodies I have for you with the $50.00 and $75.00 threshold.
Please feel free to email me if I can be of help….tomorrow I will be turning the music up and getting a bunch done!
Thanks for stopping in and I hope to see you back tomorrow as it is something that YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO "HOP ON" and then on Sunday, please come back and see how I changed it up!
Until tomorrow…

I ADORE this card – You are so right, we need to “feature” the DSP more often and I love the leaves…. simply GORGEOUS. Have a wonderful day and TGIF!!
I always love your work! I do especially love trees and leaves. This card is just beautiful!
Beautiful Autumn card! The DSP works so well and looks fabulous! I love to decorate my envelopes also…usually with a little DSP on the back flap and a little stamp’n hint of what is inside on the front (hmmm….I wonder who I learned that from!). Have a crisp, Autumn day, Susan!
I have FALLen in love with this card! The colors are perfect! I can almost hear the rustle of the leaves and the crunch as you walk on them. Oh wait, sorry Teddy drug in some leaves and a stick from our walk. I swear his mouth holds a ton of stuff and you can’t even tell he has anything in his mouth. He is laying here crunching the stick and leaves. Anyway, this is one beauty of a card. I had to smile as I thought the little leaves across the circle on the banner was such a fun touch and then I read you were covering up the words! Thank goodness I didn’t say I smelled leaving burning or marshmallows toasting as I do not encourage the dog to play with fire! So did you paint your backdrop or wall to go with the card? Perfect match!
LOVE your card ! And I try to stamp on my envelopes but really need to take the time to line them because that just says “Wow” !
Love your card. The colors are perfect for fall. I stamp on envelopes but I embossed on the flap of one I sent our yesterday and it was so pretty. You do an amazing job of finishing the envelope and have inspired me to do the same. Thanks. Have a great week away.
A very beautiful fall card. The background paper is very nice with this combination.
I enjoy your cards so much. You always have just the right combinations of color and design.
Gorgeous card Susan, I never usually buy the leaf stamp sets but as I see so many cards for them I’m having second thoughts. They would make gorgeous masculine birthday cards. I love the colors you picked. FALL is my very favorite time of year. The leaves are so pretty and the temperature is just right. I like just putting on a light jacket or sweatshirt and go.lol,,,,, Not to hot and not cold. The only thing is I will be cold till it hits 80 again.lol.. Have a great day and looking forward to seeing your card tomorrow ( actually I look forward to your cards eveyday )…
Agree with you about the season. I’m glad fall is finally here! Our leaves are turning and the mums are blooming. It is so colorful. Your card fits right into the season. Love it!
