Happy Labor Day! Well we have had a "different" 24+ hours….you have heard me say what a keeper James is…well I have been working soooooo hard getting the product shares completed and packaged ever since my expedited order came in and on Saturday around noon I was finished and doing the happy dance!
James had a plan and had it all figured out….he did not tell John….or me – but he came in from mowing and said…."GREAT MOM – I am happy for you that you are finished so go back and get an overnight bag pack and we are going to the "shore" to visit Grandad (my Dad) who lives about 3 hours away in a piece of heaven right on the water!
Naturally I immediately said – there is no way….the animals etc…. – his quick reply – DONE….we are taking Eddie and Rosie with us and I have arranged for the dog/horse/donkey/pig…and oh yes – the house sitter to come for an overnight so we can get away for a quick overnight! (I worry more about the animals than the house)
We had a FABULOUS time and WOW – it totally made my dear 84 year old Dad happy. He was so thrilled that we were there….what a great treat for him. He adores Eddie and has been calling every day asking how his favorite "Senior Citizen"" was doing….
John and James woke up before dawn yesterday to do some fishing and I had a wonderful visit with my Dad. We took him out on the boat, (probably the 1st time he had been out on the water for over 4+ years) and he LOVED it – it was a perfect day, beautiful weather and it was a treat for all of us…..Eddie included!
I have some GREAT pictures for you of the dogs on the boat but my I Phone might have gone to I Phone heaven….After we returned home last night, I went to download my pictures and the project I made for you today to have a BLACK SCREEN….NOTHING…..no juice anywhere……so….it's movie time!
Today I am serving you some Lemonade….(darn I wish that I was there to sever it to you) but please do not forget and also underestimate the great and short Videos that Stampin' Up! has – they are just great!
Here are several from the NEW catalog….enjoy them as I really feel that they give you a great over view of the products and then as I blog about them with actual projects, I think that you will get a great idea of the product to make the decision if you are going to hit that SHOP NOW button!
I really, really like this new product – I blogged about it over the weekend!
This is a GREAT video that will give you an insight of how our Designer Series Paper is made! (very, very interesting)
I just put these together and oh what FUN it was – they are not only ADORABLE but this would be a great evening with friends to do. Naturally I have some tips and tricks for you when I blog about them this week!
Last one for today….I put these together as well and HANG ON YOU YOUR HAT….this kit is just fabulous as it makes making a Shaker Card…fast, rewarding, easy and just FUN!!!!
Darn, I wish that we were able to purchase these special adhesives to make making shaker cards this easy all the time! I know that many of you will really be "wowed" and proud to make these gems!
Enjoy your day….I will catch up on emails today and onto my Stamp of the Month Kit conformations! It was a great break and a memory make for sure!

Oh, ha, ha, ha! I thought it was a video of your weekend!!! Glad you had a great one. Good Luck with your iPhone too.
🙂
Ah, the lemonade was delish and the movies were very enticing! James is a wonderful son to surprise you with such a special treat. You deserve it! As for your IPhone go to the Apple Store and they will do a diagnostic test on it and tell you exactly what is wrong….I only had to do an update on my phone and remember to power down once a week. Enjoy!
Such an awesome surprise from James! You obviously raised all your kids well. We are still at our lake and it is always so relaxing and refreshing. I’m sure Eddie and Rosie loved going with you and Im sure your dad was happy to see how Eddie was doing first-hand. Congrats on finishing the shares; I’m excited to get mine! Thanks for taking us to the movies today! Hope your phone is an easy fix.
I saw the Bambi card video. Then there is the video on the DP that SU made probably. Plus the Shaker card kit video they made. Did I miss anything? You Tube only has 3 listed for you I think, the Bambi card, poppers, and the shares one. Maybe you can have a You Tube button like Brian has on his blog?
Glad James surprised you with a little getaway. He even thought to take Rosie and Eddie too. How sweet! Your dad probably loved it the most!
