I am sooo darn tootin' glad that so many of you enjoyed yesterdays card and I hope that I do not let you down today! (I do not think so as this one in the running for my holiday cards)!
I had a fabulous day yesterday and I thank you for you wishes….I did one thing that I love to do….cook! Guess what – Aunt Jean came to town for her 70th High School Reunion….is that the BEST or what!?!? I had my Dad, Aunt Jean and a fellow classmate of hers for dinner! It was a fun, memorable and truly a special evening!
Let's get to the card and you can see which one you liked better! Remember to click here if you missed yesterdays post to see the difference!
I always ask John and James which one is the Saturday card and which one is the Sunday card…..John guessed it right, James did not!
At first glance you might think I had it backwards but I think todays card just took some extra steps that made it super special!
The basic elements are the same – a 4 1/4" card with a layer just a 1/4" smaller, scored all the way around. What is different is the fact that I cut the center out in the Mossy Meadow and then "puzzled it together" – the below photo will show you the scoop!
I admit, I really like this card and it was super fun to make! I think that it is Christmas at it's best…I know that you are probably getting tired of me with the sentiments but what can I say – you just cannot go wrong with them – they are the best and oh so easy!
I think that the "WHITE" in this card makes a huge statement. You just can never go wrong with having lots of white as it lets the focal part POP. I also think that the Mossy Meadow "inside" give a great perception of depth!
The envelope paper is another great "bang for your buck" and it is super fun to work with – love the ease it is to use with the envelope punch board! I realize that this card will require some additional postage (as it is a square card) but I think it is well worth it…..what do you think?
When you break this down, you could make many of these in steps! We have Parents Weekend next weekend with Hannah (our last one) and I think that I am going to stamp and cut out some wreaths so I can take my Aqua Painter, some inks and go to town!
Well as the saying goes…."That;s all Folks" – I hope that you have enjoyed the 2 day post and I hope that I have given you some insight on CASING a festive and classic card. Please do so…it is the BEST compliment I could receive.
Remember the special – I hope that we can "stick" together…..for anyone that places an order of $35.00 from today thru the 23rdI will send you a pack of Stampin' Dimensionals as a thank you!
If you place an order of $75.00 or more between today and the 23rd – I will send you both….the stampin' dimensions and also a roll of the Tear n Tape…..WOWZERS – we will REALLY be sticking together! (we always need adhesives)
Please use the hostess code of 2PJK3KQQ to take advantage of this offer!
Hit that SHOP NOW button and shop away! (With this SALE that Stampin' UP! is offering next week…..I say look at some goodies that you can take advantage of the 15% off – WOOT-WOOT – the best of both worlds)
Feel free to email me and a BIG thanks for popping in…..tomorrow I am doing the happy dance with what I am going to share with you….I hope that you will POP back……it's a keeper!

Gorgeous. I just love both cards. Sunday’s card is very clever use of paper.
Thanks for sharing I will be sure to case them both..
Susan, both cards are beautiful. I think time is always a factor when making lots of cards and that would probably determine which design I used. You are so clever to come up with these great designs to share with us.
Absolutely stunning! I have to admit that I cannot pick one over the other as they are both so lovely. I LOVE the way you placed the green in the center for depth – super idea. So happy you had such a lovely birthday with such a great group of friends and family. Hugs and happy Sunday!
Love the Sunday version, especially, and, as said earlier, loved that you used the green in the center of the wreath…just set it off!
So glad you had a wonderful birthday…sharing with special people is the best! Looking at both cards side by side, I think Sunday’s card POPS! I am waiting for this set to arrive this week (of course I missed the sale!) and will definitely case this card…TFS. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Wow! Simply gorgeous! The white is classy and the pop of green totally makes the wreath pop (I agree with all the others!) I’m glad you had a great birthday and spent your day doing something you love. Enjoy your day today!
Both cards are simply beautiful….each one has a statement and I am going with today’s card as my pick. Like the way you added the green center on the crisp white card. So glad you enjoyed your bday with your loving family and around a great meal!
Wow, you make the most awesome cards. I like Sunday’s. The white background with the green center really makes the wreath and the red of the “joy” sentiment pop off the page. Every time I see this stamp set I love it more. Thanks for the great ideas.
Love today’s version the most. As Robyn stated everything about this one really pops. Love the aqua painters too!
I can’t say which I like best, since I like aspects of each. I like that the Saturday card has dimentionals on the wreath, but I really like the white space on Sunday’s card. Hmmm…quite a dilemma. Must say I really look forward to your weekend cards. Thanks for sharing all you do.
Both are stunning and I can’t decide. But, I would like to see what today’s wreath looks like without the green inside it to see the difference in depth we are talking about. The white sure looks great as a background but I like the green too. Another one for the fence!
Glad you had a good birthday dinner with good company! Hope you can relax a bit today and still enjoy your dad’s and Aunt Jean’s company!
Love both the cards, and appreciate your tips on this one:)
Hmmmm, I like Sunday’s card the best!
Can’t decide which one I love more, I guess I’ll just have to case both! Glad you enjoyed your birthday.
