Beautiful cards! What a wonderful prize! I started stamping about 12 years ago. i used to spend so much time in a Hallmark store trying to find the perfect card. Then I discovered Stampin’ Up! and I was hooked. I just go to my craft room and make the perfect card! Thanks for the great blog and wonderful inspiration!
I got invited to a Stampin’ Up party about ten years or so ago, and have been stamping ever since. Honestly it would be so much cheaper to go buy a card, but I would have missed out on all the hours of fun I have had creating something everyone LOVES to receive. It’s my therapy and passion.
I’ve been stamping for many years! Probably close to 15! I started with group of friends and working, learning with them was my “hook”! Thank you!
Congrats, Sonny! I got invited to a Stampin Up party six years ago and my question to the hostess was “what’s Stampin’ Up?” I followed her explanation with a laugh and said “I’m craft-challenged.” She told me to come anyway for the socialization, so I did. I placed a $250 order at her party and the rest is history. Glad you had fun yesterday! I had a blast in Milwaukee and learned a lot!!
I have a large family but no children of my own. I was the good aunt always at Hallmark. I was indentured there. I try to remember the special events for 50 plus people.
I was invited to a SU party 19 1/2 years ago and signed up on the spot. I stamp my bill envelopes as I can not stand to send “naked” mail. It does get in your blood. I like coming here because I don’t have to do all the thinking and measuring. You make it easy with your great cards and helpful hints so a great big thanks!
Lynn
I’ve been stamping for 9 years. Was introduced to SU by a gal that worked the desk at a place I worked out at 3 times a week. She invited me to be a guest at her club one night, and the rest is history!
Would love to be the winner…been crafting since I was a child and many years ago 2001 after death of my beloved Mom started Scrapbooking Met up with a SU demonstrator at AC Moore and have been hooked since. Thank you so much for all you share with us and best wishes to everyone for a safe and happy holiday season. and, and, happy crafting!!!
I know you are having fun with all your Stampin’ Up friends. Can’t wait for the reveal!
I started stamping 15 years ago when my niece was a demonstrator and have never looked by. My friends look forward to a handmade card and I certainly love what I do.
I don’t remember exactly when I started stamping but I have some SU stamp sets that have a1998 date on them. (They used to date the sets). I have always loved to craft. I can never have enough cards. I seem to go through them so quickly! I love this blog candy idea!
I started going to Stampin Up parties 25 years ago. I have collected many stamp sets, dies, inks, papers, etc. since then and five years ago I became a hobbyist demonstrator. My favorite item with Stampin Up are the dies—love them as I don’t like to fussy-cut.
I’ve been stamping for 6 years. Someone invited me to a workshop….and the rest is history. Scrapbooking was my passion up until then and now, I could spend all day making cards! It is relaxing! (but I do have my days where something is not going right and then I’m screaming, why do I do this!) Love it and love when my creation puts a smile on someone else’s face!
I’ve doodled around with stamping for more than thirty years, but it took meeting a wonderful lady who is a SU demo. I never had any of my stamping projects turn out, never. My new friend Lee taught me how to stamp properly and she showed how easy making my own cards actually is! That was about three and a half years ago and I have a wonderful collection of stamps and all the supplies and tools necessary to make just about anything! Please don’t tell my hubby how much I’ve spent since I discovered SU, he will not be very understanding!
My good friend invited me to her Stampin up class and I am hooked. This is my second year and I love to surprise friends with cards.
Wow, I’m a newbie. I started a year ago. I saw cards on Pinterest I wanted to make, contacted a SU demonstrator and now I make my own cards. It’s a blast, I love it!
I love paper and have been “playing with making” cards since I was in elementary school–eons ago! I met my first SU demo-er when I went to a crop several years ago. She did a free make n take breast cancer card with us, and Kindness Matters was my first SU set! I found a local SU lady and have taken my cardmaking to another level with all the beautiful stamps and ideas from bloggers like you. Retiring a few years ago gave me time to really enjoy this hobby.
I “really” started stamping when one of my best friends became a SU demonstrator 18 or 19 years ago. I LOVE it!
I have been stamping for about 15 years I guess. I really love making cards. To me, it is much more special to send a card I have taken the time to make and put my heart into. I love seeing your work and your doggies.
My friend showed me the beautiful cards she made with her Stampin’ Up stamps and punches about 10 years ago and that did it for me. I was hooked!
I have been stamping for 10 years. I bumped into a friend at Archiver’s while looking for scrape booking supplies. She invited me to a Stampin’ Up class. I look back at the cards we first made and have to laugh . . .they were so plain!
My first stamping experience began 28 years ago and I had stamped a long time before being introduced to Stampin Up! One day I was driving around and noticed a sign “Craft Sale” and since I do all sorts of crafts I followed the signs. The lady was a demonstrator and selling off the old to make room for the new. I bought a bunch and scheduled a party!! The main thing I LOVE about SU is that the ink, paper, ribbon, etc all match and there is nothing better!!! Since that time I’ve introduced tons of people to stamping and SU 🙂
I am a teacher by profession but have done every type of craft throughout my life during spare time. I was invited to host a SU party by a dear friend four years ago who thought it would be a good match for my interests. It was so much fun and the demonstrator was so generous that I insisted that she use my ‘hostess dollars’ herself. Now my second craft room is bulging with product and often, many retired teacher friends.
EEEEEKKK ! I won those great Swatch Books ? Yay for me and I am doing a Happy Dance ! Thank you thank you thank you !!
I have been stamping for years and bounced between Stampin` Up and Close To My Heart with Creative Memories thrown in too !
Love it …raises my endorphin levels !!!
Have I mentioned that I love Swatch Books !
I have been stamping for about 7 years and got hooked after taking a card class at a local scrapbook store.
I found my SU demo on a web search when I first moved to Texas 12 years ago. I was just looking to do something crafty and wanted to meet some people. I had left all of my friends of 35 years in Iowa. Now I have friends in both states and my SU demo is one of my besties!
I’ve been stamping about 15 years and it all started when a friend invited me to a Stampin’Up party in her home! I’ve been a stamping junkie ever since!
I started “serious” card making in 2002. We had lost our dear Schnauzer Missy after have her for 17 ½ years! I went to a scrapbooking class to make a memory scrapbook of her life with us. I enjoyed doing it, but looking ahead at all the boxes & boxes of family photos, I then attended a free cardmaking class as I have always loved sending cards (I used to make computer-generated greeting cards) and the rest is history … so it has now been 13 years! And SU is by far my favorite, too, especially because of the color coordination … very important to me to not have to waste precious cardmaking time hunting matching/coordinating papers, inks, ribbons, etc! Plus, you meet such awesome fellow card makers in this hobby?
About 12 years ago, my daughter asked me to go to a Stampin Up card class with her so we could spend a Saturday together. I had great time and she talked me into the idea of scrap booking. So for the next 2 years her and I when to local scrap booking stores and we went to several S.U. parties. About $2000 later she wanted to see my scrapbooks that I was working on. I told her I was waiting for her to show me how to use all the stuff I had been buying LOL. Now I have a stamp room that she claims is better than going to any store.. I make over 100 Christmas cards every year.
My first SU experience was probably around 6-7 yrs ago when I was invited to go to a Stamp Camp with a friend. I’ve always loved crafts so this fit in with my hobbies. Like many of you I also have spent much time at the card store. Even though I sometimes still buy cards, there’s always something more special about a handmade card. There is one downside … Sometimes I love my cards so much it’s hard to part with them 🙂
I started stamping in 1999. I kept getting invited to SU parties and was not the least bit interested. I finally went to one just so I could say I’d been and get people to leave me alone :). The rest is history. If you could see my stamping supplies now!
I was invited to a Stampin’ Up class at a friend’s house, in May of 2013. I became a demonstrator in June 2014 because I just had to have the Big Shot all of my own! Well…..here I am…November, 2015 and loving every moment of it!
I am new at card making although I have enjoyed making other crafts over the years. I started when my good friend and her sister took me under their wings about a year ago and shared how they made such wonderful projects. I truly love all the creativity they and S U stampers share with me.
Congrats Sonny, how awesome. I started stamping when I visited my Mom. She made the most beautiful cards. She is 84 and still stamping. I Save everyone card she makes. Be safe coming home.
I have been stamping for 2 years. A dear friend invited me to a SU party….that is how it began. Love your blog!
Beautiful cards! I got started stamping after attending a Stampin Up year-end clearance sale in my neighborhood. The demonstrator sold bags of paper scraps and I have always loved paper (since childhood.). I started attending some of her classes and made some purchases. I love the creativity and I am also a frugal stamper, so finding multiple uses and new ways to utilize products is one of my favorite styles of paper crafting. Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy!
I can’t remember how long, but it all started when my friend Karla invited me to a “stamp camp” at her upline’s home & I was instantly hooked. I do remember my first purchase: the Build-a-Blossom stamp set and punch, which I still have, still use, and which still gets rave reviews!
I’ve been stamping about 15 years. I got hooked when some friends invited me to a Stampin’ Up! party and then I started accumulating supplies. Thanks very much for sharing your creativity with us. I love your blog!
Beautiful cards!! I was introduced to Stampin’ Up about 15 years ago and was a member of a “club” for a few years. Then there was no one in the area for a couple of years and I was re-introduced about 5 years ago. I have been a demonstrator for a little more than two years!! Love creating with and for family and friends!
A friend invited me to her Stampin Up party about 14 years ago and I was hooked.
I’ve been stamping about 10 years. My sister introduced me. Then I found sites with all sorts of ideas and the rest is history.
20 years ago or so I went on a Mother Daughter retreat with my youngest daughter. They had a stamping/embossing station during activity time, and that got me started! I went to my first Stampin’ Up! workshop about 15 years ago and I bought my first pack of paper, stamp set, and box of Stampin’ Spots. Hooked!!!
I have been making cards since I found Carol Duvall (some may remember her)on a tv craft show in 2004, when my job was outsourced and I needed something to do besides housework. I didn’t know about SU until about 4 years ago and found a local demonstrator. Your card giveaway would be a great gift. I always seem to be scrambling to have the right card for a specific person.
I have been stamping for about 15 years. I first learned about stampin up at the island county fair. I met a demonstrator and started going to her classes once a month and was hooked.
Congrats to Sonny! I discovered Stampin Up thru a friend a few years ago and have been using Stampin Up products myself for about 2 years. It is hard to find a demo in DE that advertises a monthly class/group. I have found a lot of inspiration online – the online bloggers I have been following seem to have nice groups that get together frequently.
I was getting ready to retire after 30 years of teaching….one of my student’s mother’s gave me a set of handmade kindness in the form of beautiful SU cards. She was a demonstrator and I was hooked. 12 years ago.
I’ve been making cards for about 10 years. Got invited to my cousins house for a party. Really got serious about four years ago, when my new found friends and I started hanging out together. Now cards almost take over every day!
About 30 years ago I fell in love with rubber on a piece of wood and have never looked back. My first Stampin Up set was a 1997 set called ‘Let it Snow’ with the cutest snowman ever, it was soon joined by the beautiful set ‘Lovely as a Tree’ I was hooked.
I love cards! I’ve been stamping as a hobby for about 18 years. My sister introduced me to it. We would go monthly with a group of others and stamp. We placed orders as we wanted from a demonstrator. I even made all my wedding invitations that summer! 85 of them. Stamped and colored only. I took them everywhere I went. I even had the hubs doing some coloring and he still kept me! Lol. My sister is now a demonstrator and we are a part of a great group of crafters! I would not trade it for anything.
My introduction to stamping was in a neighborhood kitchen and I was wedged in a small dark corner and I made a “baby” card (at the time I had no one to give the card to). Not exactly a great intro into this fun fun world. So – my neighbor found another demonstrator close by and we have been going there ever since and that was about 6-7 years ago. Now I am a stamping addict like so many other people ! And I LOVE your cards and your swatch books – which I have shown to a lot of people ! Oh YES I want to win !
I was introduced to SU in 2004! We were visiting my oldest step-daughter & she was a demonstrator. I had never been exposed to card stamping…..she was doing a class that week & invited me to attend…..if for nothing else to come & socialize with the gals. I WAS HOOKED…….JUST LOVED IT!! I have been a crafter for years but more into sewing crafts. We have a large number of cards that I send out every year & I sooooo enjoy the time in my crafting room making those cards…..I try to make cards that reflect each person’s interest or personality. I am so glad I was introduced to SU……my husband……..probably not!! I have a lot of stamps & many $’s invested!! But, probably cheaper then a therapist!! Thanks for the inspiration that you give each day on your blog.
I have been stamping for 25 years! I was completely frustrated at first….what color combinations go together etc., but am now totally hooked and loving it! SU makes it so easy with everything coordinating. It takes all the guesswork out!
I have been hooked on stamping and paper crafts since the late 1980s. Have collected stamps and paper and everything else since then. A fun and relaxing hobby.
What a GREAT gift! I have been stamping so long…maybe 20 years? the first 5 years, not much, the second, a little more and NOW? a lot! I got my real start when I was invited to a Stampin Up camp.
My crafting bug began as a small girl doing many different mediums like ceramics, crocheting, scrapbooking (the old kind with just photos and moments) etc, but I did not begin to stamp until two years ago. I saw an advertisement on a Christmas tags class and joined in on the fun. Since then it hasn’t stopped. I enjoy combining all my other crafts with stamping and love sharing my creations with others.
I have only been stamping for a little over a year now. My husband and I went to visit my sister-in-law, and she asked if I would like to go to a card making class. I said sure as I always like to do different crafts. Well, making my first card, I was amazed, it was beautiful. We made several more cards and a cute box, and I was hooked. I came home and immediately looked for a demonstrator that did classes in my area. I brought two friends, and now they are hooked. It’s contagious! My sister-in-law directed me to your site, and I am enjoying your beautiful work and reading all the replies.
My older daughter was living in Virginia, and she had a card class, being I lived in NY, she sent me a booklet and I ordered, “lovely as a tree”. I think that is about 10 years ago. Your cards are wonderful!! TFS
I have been stamping since 2000…15 years now. My introduction to stamping was a Stampin Up party at a neighbors house and I never looked back…..it just keeps getting better and “funner”!!!
I have been stamping and making cards for about 15 years or so. It all started when a friend invited me to a Stampin’ Up! party. I fell in love with paper crafting and making cards for friends and family. I love expressing myself with my cards. You are a great inspiration to me along the way!
I have been stamping for 25 years! Stampin Up & Close to my Heart got me started!
I recently retired from a rewarding and very all-encompassing career. I found SU about a year ago through a dear friend and oh yes….I am having so much fun! Those SU packages are arriving OFTEN and the products are terrific, as is the customer service! I love love love your blog, Susan, and the way you encourage all of us. I also love the idea that we are all sending caring , written messages through hand-made gifties. What’s so important is staying connected and being there for each other.
When a friend invited me to her SU party, I was hooked. I love to send cards for all occasions and decided to give SU my business instead of Hallmark. No regrets; love being creative when I didn’t think I was!
First of all, congrats Sonny!
I was a needleworker and gave a lot as presents. I also baked goodies to give as presents. I think it was probably 1998 I had visited a store in Houston called Iconography. They had amazing CARDS THAT HAD ALL THESE fun embelishments on them or cut outs etc. They markers and some stamps and cardstock. Not a whole lot of this stuff plus really unique wrapping papers and such. They had this pig with a wreath around it’s neck. Since most people knew I was from Iowa they therefore figured I liked pigs. So, I ended up with lots of pig stuff as gifts. So, I thought this would be my signature making little gift tags at Christmas with this stamp. I bought a green marker and a pink one. Since my husband was a teacher lord knows we had our share of red markers! I cut used file folders for the tags and that was history in the making! Oh to stamp the pig I used the stamp pad at work! Everyone loved my tags on the gifts. Then, I bought a dog paw print stamp for my dog biscuits I used to make, to decorate the bags or a tag. I bought a couple of Christmas themed stamps at Michaels too.
Ok then we moved from Houston back to Iowa in 2000 or 2001 really. In walking the dog I med a woman who was coloring some images on her porch that she had stamped. We also chatted on our walks. She invited me to sit and watch and chat. She was starting a scrapbooking shop which didn’t last long. Anyway, she belonged to a group that did rubber stamping. She needed help one night taking her treats there and asked me to go with her to help her with her goodies. She told me to bring my stamps to make some tags. I was guarding my pig stamp and couple markers! Anyway, there I was introduced to embossing and was hooked. Here was all these people sharing their stamps and inks, markers and cardstock. Needleworkers don’t necessarily share stuff – ideas yes. One woman looked at me and said I need to have some fun. She stamped a bunch of images and handed me some watercolor pencils (she embossed the images) and told me to have fun! I colored the gingerbread man first. Then, a woman grabbed it and took her scissors to it. I was upset! She told me to just wait for it. She took some red cardstock and green cardstock and some ribbon and within minutes made me a card! They all stamps some images for me to take home and play with. Some of these women were SU demonstrators but never asked me to a party. I went a few more times and the group disbanded.
Sorry, for the long post but Susan, you asked! So, now it is about 2004 or 2005 maybe. A neighbor across the street left a SU party invite on my door. I thought why not the invitation looked fun and I had heard about SU from the previous group about matching ink, cardstock, ribbon etc. So, that Saturday I went across the street, it said 12:00 so I thought maybe little sandwiches or something. No, there was a roast beef, whole ham, whole turkey, hot veggies, salads, pies, cakes, and cookies galore. I did not know this woman but she always wore a dress or skirt. Seems they were Mennonites or some religion and this was their big meal. There was men there too. After we were stuffed to the gills, the men retired to the living room and the main table was cleared off. Then this younger woman took off her apron and put on an apron which had Stampin Up embroidered on it. She had lots of projects for us to make. There was like 15 of us with one lady who was legally blind! She was totally delighted to be gluing and stamping. She had the most fun! Anyway, I made my first purchase a tea stamp or something with a tea cup anyway plus am ink pad. I had some fun projects and she had given us each a free stamp and I picked the dog stamp about having a ruff day. Plus she gave us a catalog. I really didn’t do anything but dreamed a lot about making things. A couple of months later a needleworker friend asked me to go to a stamping class (SU demo) one night. Well, there I had the best time! I went again the next month and took another friend with us. I bought stuff both times! The third time we made Halloween projects including treat holders. I was hooked! I proudly took my cards and treatholder to work to show people and then to a needleworking event to show off.
Then my mom died and Mike was pink slipped from his job. No extra money and we had to get the house ready to sell and figure out what to do. We ended up moving to Pella in 2007 or whatever. I checked with SU and hooked up with a demo in Knoxville. Then, the rest is for another time about that group of people. I also met a CTMH demo here in town and started going to her group since I enjoyed some of those people too. So, I have both companies stamps and stuff. Sorry to be so verbose! Yes, I still have my original pig stamp!
I joined a Stampin Up card group 16 years ago and have been hooked ever since!
I was introduced to SU in ‘2000. I purchased a few beginner items (Button Bear was my first set and I still have it), dabbled with it a little then moved from CA to VA. I met a SU demo. while at a yard sale and was invited to her monthly workshops in 2008, and that’s when I got serious about stamping. ; )
I went to my first workshop with my sister-in-law because her mom’s friend was having one. I’ve always been crafty but could never draw so I got “hooked” on coloring all the line images. That was about 10 years ago. Made lots of stamping friends since then. Love your blog Susan.
I’ve been stamping about 15 years. A quilting friend of mine became a SU demonstrator and we liked stamping because we could complete projects so much faster. Like with quilting we love working with colors, designs and craft specific tools.
I have been stamping for 13 years now. I worked part time for a scrapbook store back then and met a great friend who introduced me to Stampin Up by inviting me to a stamp club. Have been enjoying making cards and stamping ever since. I enjoy your blog every morning….thank you for your inspiration and great ideas!!
Beautiful cards! I am a “newbie” stamper. I just love to see what others create and use their inspiration to help me “learn” to create. I don’t think I am very good at the moment, but with the inspiration of others, I think I am getting better. Of course, seeing all the SU products sure helps with creativity.
I have been stamping for about 5 years on and off-but have mostly been inspired by your beautiful cards on your blog! I love that I can retreat to my craft room and make last minute cards and coordinating gift bags too with the help of Paper Pumpkin. I wish I had more time to work on them, but for everything there is a season and I am enjoying the one I am in now. Thanks so much!
I have always loved paper crafts. Started this journey with greeting card software on the computer, then got into stamping. I started subscribing to blogs for ideas & eventually shifted into SU. I especially like the quality of the paper & stamps
My mother got me started crafting a long time ago with things like knitting, quilting and cross stitching. A friend of mine introduced me to SU about 10 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since! I use them on cards and in scrapbooking. What fun!!
When I was in high school (nearly 20 years ago) my sister In-law was part of a monthly stamping up club. She would bring her stamping projects with her when she came to visit. I was intrigued and thought at would be neat to create my own card for a special occasion. So a few years later, once I had a job, I joined a local group and have been stamping ever since. My other two sisters have jumped on the stamping wagon also. I love making cards but also 3-D projects. There is nothing like giving a handmade gift and having the recipient glee with excitement. Thank you for all your inspiration, I use a lot of your projects.
I have been actually stamping for more than twenty years but just within the last two years really getting more serious and really enjoying it!! I started out stamping because I was scrapbooking! Now I make cards and memory albums!!
About 15 years ago, I was invited to a crop. They had a class stamping 2 sheets of background paper for scrapbook pages. Once I got a stamp and ink in my hands, I was hooked for life.
I’ve been stamping since 2004 when my Red Hats group had a demo come to a meeting. I was immediately hooked when she showed us how to heat emboss! Wow!
Congrats Sonny…love your comment! Can’t wait to get that sneak peek on Tuesday…so excited! I was always an avid crafter but about six years ago I was introduced to SU and found it fascinating how everything matched! I made a few cards, fell in love and it was a “marriage” made in heaven!
Two friends from church did a program for a woman’s group I belonged to where we did card making (from SU products) and I was hooked. I couldn’t draw stick figures worth a hoot, so when I was able to produce what I thought was a beautiful card, I wanted to know more and one of them hosted a SU party for those of us who were interested. That was over 15 years ago. It’s brought much joy into my life and many debits to my checking account!! We get a big laugh when someone tells us we probably save a lot of money by making our own cards!!
I started SU 11years ago, my daughter had been doing it for several years, and I wanted to make my Christmas cards. I joined a club with her and I’m still Stampin! And I still make all my cards, it’s my sanctuary, my sanity!
Love your simple style, Susan!
I have been stamping for about 18 years. A good friend of my had a SU party at her house and, as they say, “the rest is history”. I was hooked, bought some supplies and have been buying SU and creating cards ever since! Glad that I am now retired and can devote more time to my stamping….LOL!
Back in 2010, I was reunited with a friend from the past who was a Stampin’up demonstrator. I didn’t believe I had any artistic talent but she encouraged me and from that time on I have been creating cards. It is with great sadness that my friend developed Alzheimer’s two years later and now is unable to participate in card making. I will always be grateful for her introducing me to card making.
I’ve been stamping about 25 years. A friend of my sister invited us to a stamp party and I was hooked. Thanks for the chance to win those wonderful cards!
18 years. Went to a craft fair and saw a booth. Was a destroyer for two years. Stopped. My mom became a demonstrator about 8 years later. Stopped. I sold all of my items except for a small box of random stamps and a couple of sets. This August, I decided to look up my mom’s former up line because I wanted to attend a class to restock my stash of cards, as I was running out of greeting cards. I informed her, “I have no intention of purchasing; I just want to attend classes to build up a stash of cards.” Oh boy, couple thousands of dollars later, my mom and I’ve begun all over again!
My girlfriend invited me to a now defunct scrapbooking/stamping business workshop and we heat embossed ‘thank you’ on the front of a card. The embossing was magical to me and I was hooked on stamping. At first it was slim pickings as far as stamps were concerned when I see the huge selection of stamp companies in existence today! Thankfully there is something for everyone now and the hobby has spread exponentially. I love Stampin’ Up and the people who I have met through this organization – especially you!
At a “church ladies” gathering one person mention she was going to a card making event hosted by a local pastor’s wife, a hobby demonstrator. I had never heard of this and asked if I could join her…6 years and tons of fun later I am glad I went.
blessings
I started stamping 19 years ago and I was a demonstrated for another company. So several years ago I stopped selling when went to stampin up. I want to be a demonstrater again some day bug not right now!
I have been stamping for about 17 years. A lady invited me to a party shortly after my husband and I moved to MO for him tho get his master’s. I mostly went to meet new people. The demonstrator made it look so fun, I ordered some and I’ve been hooked!
A friend invited me to a Stampin Up get together at her home in 1998. I have changed groups since. However, I love making cards for friends and family for all occasions still.
I started stamping over 25 years ago. my interest thru the years has waxed and waned but I have always loved stamping. I love playing with the beautiful images that I could never draw in million years! Yes. I am hooked and Stampin Up has been with me most of the way.
I will always remember when I started stamping, because it was the weekend after the attacks in NY on 9/11/01. My dear friend had scheduled a Stampin’ Up! party and decided to go through with it, thinking we all needed some fun in an otherwise awful week. I was immediately hooked, and have enjoyed it ever since.
I’ve been stamping for 4 years. It all started when I attended a stamp a stack with a friend. 🙂
I’ve been stamping for over 20 years. A good friend got me hooked!
I have been stamping for about 13 months. I feel in love with it immediately. I stamp in any spare time I can find. I have come a very long way over the past year. I love stamping!
I’ve only been at it for.a few years. I found that it really relaxes me and I enjoy making something with the personal touch
I have been stamping about 3 years now. My good friend from Virginia introduced me to scrapbooking over 21 yrs ago and when I heard she was making cards she let me know about SU! and all their matching products. I was sold! I love, love my coordinating paper, ink and ribbons from SU!
I’ve only been stamping homemade cards for 3 yrs. now. I saw homemade cards on another site but they were very time consuming . Then I found stampin up and saw how much easier they were. I have only been using SU supplies for 1 yr.now and I know I have almost ALL of there satmp sets, dies and punches.I love it and it’s so relaxing for me and to see people smile when they see my homemade cards is so rewarding.I make cards every chance I get.
I was invited to an SU party about 20 years ago. Bought a set or two then. Also dabbled in other stamps/papers/markers but went back to SU. They have just gotten better over the years.
Love your blog and how much you’ve grown and become more confident in all you do. I get a lot of s/u demonstrator emails every day and yours is never skipped. Give yourself a woot-woot.
my cousin invited me a SU party. that was about 15 years ago. told my daughter we are buying one stamp set PERIOD. bought one that made birthday, get well, thanks etc. CUZ i was not going to buy another set. once I got the set and made my first card I was hooked. and now I have 10 crates of stamp sets.
I’ve only been stamping for 6 years but it has become such a fun hobby, I make cards for all my family and friends and often give them as gifts.
I started stamping in 07 after a surgery I had and wanted something to do. lol now my craft room extends to 2 rooms lol!
I have been stamping for so long that I can’t remember not stamping; probably around 18 – 19 years. My neighbor across the street gave me a hand-made card and I like things are not not mast produced – one-of-a-kind.
i STARTED STAMPING QUITE A FEW YEARS AGO AS A LEADER FOR OUR COUNTY EXTENSION GROUP. IT WAS A LESSON TWO OF US TOOK. WE STARTED WITH A FEW STAMPS AND EVENTUALLY FOUND STAMPIN UP. LOVE IT. Shirley B
Stampin up hooked me on stamping about 15 years ago when a Bunco buddie had a home party!!! Still having tons of fun stamping today!
I was invited to a party and later tried to get in touch with the demonstrator to order more products. She never responded so I looked online to try to find a demonstrator. I found my demonstrator about ten years ago and I won’t even try to state how much I have ordered. Let’s just say I have a friend who is supposed to come to my house upon my death and get lots of SU products out of my house so my husband won’t know how much is here. I really, really like SU products and card making!
Dear Susan, I have been Stamping about 11 Years or so. I was working out at a Curves in our town. I saw a sign that said stamp workshop. I asked what that was. The lady at the desk said a lady who works for a company called Stamin Up is doing the workshop that evening. I signed up. We made three Christmas cards. I was so excited. I had a Stampin Up party. Then I became her customer. I invited two of my friends. We have gone through three or four girls who were Stampin Up Gals. For one reason or another they all quit. Now I just make cards myself with my two friends. I have turned my dining room into my beautiful craft room. This is my passion. I find such joy making a hand made card for someone. This is my sanity saver. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
I started stamping about 18 years ago when a friend asked me to go to a SU party with her! I have been hooked ever since!!
