Good Morning and here is Sunday fun to change up yesterday’s card. Please click here to see yesterdays post and then you can decide! I can already feel the "let down" that I have for you today...BUT….remember, there are many ways to do things and this is really a fun and rewarding technique to do!
I know that this one is totally different with the technique but it is fun and easy. I wish that the card had photographed better but trust me, it really is pretty in person!
The card is basically the same as far as measurement etc but you can see the BIG difference is the snowflake.
I used the watercolor paper and inked up the stamp with Versa Mark and then covered that with clear embossing powder ~ heat set it and then had fun with the Aqua Painter and the Night of Navy Ink.
I know that it is different but it really does make a fun yet artistic statement and you are always so surprised at how the navy just repels from the embossed image. I simply take a Kleenex and wipe away the excess – DONE!
The other change up I did was the BLING – I used the gorgeous Winter Wonderland Embellishments – aren’t this beautiful? They look like a real jewel and a glue dot on the back was all that was needed.
Yesterday I forgot to mention the envelope, Silly Susan …how could you forget the envelope! I used the real red envelope liner paper and I sure am hoping that this gets carried over….just in case I would purchase another pack as it will be perfect for Valentines day!
There you go my friends….I hope that you are not getting tired of these 2 day posts….if so – PLEASE give me some feedback as that is the best way for me to tell what to share with you!
Pace yourself with your projects…the calendar is on a roll…and you know what happens…..the calendar rolls and we get stressed! No stressing allowed….we do what we do to have fun….so go have fun today and I hope that you can have some "me time" to create!
p.s. – you will not want to miss tomorrows post…I promise, after tomorrow I will give you a couple day break on holiday cards but tomorrows card is a "Susan Card" that can be mass produced easily and trust me, it carries a HUGE punch!

I ADORE this technique and LOVE it because it is so unique. I cannot wait to try it!
AWWWW…this is fun ! What a great step up ! Also would you believe that I have not noticed the embellishments you are showing on your Sunday snowflake ?? I thought you were referring to the wooden ones until I saw the picture !!
I might get brave and try this watercolor swish that you did …love the look ….besides it`s TRENDY !!
I like both cards but especially like today’s version. Very clever and can’t wait to try it.
No, no, no! Don’t stop the two day posts. I love them!
Usually both posts are lovely. I sometimes can’t make a choice between the two of which one I like best. I have to say, this one I like the step up better. Such talent you have!
Very pretty. I’ve been hesitant to try the watercoloring technique, but this may be just the inspiration I need to make an attempt. Please continue the two day posts! I look forward to them every week.
Love the step up! Very cool!!
I really look forward to the two day post. I love them. Please do not stop.
Love this watercolor technique and your card is beautiful! I look forward to the two day posts because it gives you options and unique ideas. Thank you, Susan, for your inspiration! Happy Sunday!
Love both of your cards – and I appreciate that you take the time to ramp up your Saturday card ! Seems to me that each card is right for a particular type of individual ! Also you use stamp sets that I usually zoom right past in the catalog and then see how you use it and somehow seem to then need the stamp set ! SO great that this stamp set comes in a bundle ! TFS
I immediately liked today’s card! I can’t believe you thought it would be a “let down”.
First, let me say that I really look forward to your two-day projects with the slight changes and great tips. Now to the cards, both are very pretty and like Jeanne said, each would be right for different people. I love your creativity and sharing. Please keep it going.
My favorite 2 days of the week, seeing what changes Susan makes to her SS card to get SIUS. You nailed it on both cards this weekend, love them.
Really enjoy the two day posts. I guess it is about equal which I like best, the Sat. post or the Sun. one with changes. Keep them coming, please!
I look forward to your 2 day posts! I especially love today’s card, and I think I will give it a try. I always look forward to your joyful daily posts with delight!
I love your Saturday and Sunday posts!!! Both cards as always are great today and each one would be great for different people in my life! I love your guidance on card making!
Let down?!? I think not! So far all comments have been very positive on today’s card and technique as well as your 2-day posts. WE LOVE THEM!
Like Wanda said, each one would be great for different people in my life! So true!
I loved yesterday’s card but this is a WOW card! I like to try and figure out what changes you will make but this was a total turn around! Love it! I have been playing with the swipes and blotches stamps on some cards as I love the watercolor look. Then, you made your own! Then, the embellishment on there is just perfect! You could have your very own Mary Fish 1 minute to WOW video tutorial here on this card! I bet she shows it on her favorites section. It sure is a favorite of mine!
Safe trip home! We need an update on Eddie too.
Please keep up your two day posts! This way we get to choose two different designs based on supplies, etc.
Thank you for sharing your talent and time.
I love both of your cards. I enjoy the two day posts very much. You have sold me on that stamp set, too! And definitely the word framelits! I have to replace all my dies.
I’ll talk to you soon! Hope your drive is a good one!
Cyberhugs
I love the 2 day posts. They give us great ideas and encourage flexibility with the stamp sets. So we don’t get stuck in a rut.
You are my kind of stamper. Clean and simple but not stark.
Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work (and the posts about your furry friends)
